I think this is by far the best version of reaper for open world I’ve ever played. Super forgiving and solid damage for open world with or without the jade buffs. Thank you for this masterpiece.
I went celestial and changed out gs for axe and focus and it worked way better because with the 33% to gain might on crit food the axe has like 2 8x attacks I think (plus it attacks faster) so it just gives more might, healing, and its ranged which works way better for soloing champs
You can use axe and focus if you want, it's a decent weapon set combined with the fried dumpling and axe 2 Using cele on this build however is a sheer waste of damage at no significant gain to survivability. You lose over 700 power as well as over 300 precision and ferocity. That's 20% of your power, 15% critical chance and 20% critical damage. You gain 639 toughness, vitality, healing power, concentration, condition damage and expertise. The toughness isn't needed, the vitality isn't needed (especielly not on necro), blighters boon scales awfully with healing power, you cap out might, fury and quickness without the boon duration and you don't need the condition damage and expertise at all. And the loss of 15% crit chance hurts healing more than the healing power increases it, as the fried dumpling will trigger less often. Celestial on (most) power builds is a complete waste of money and subpar to other options. You're better off getting some Knight's pieces if you really want more toughness, or look at ways to acquire protection. Here's a graph of a comparison of incoming damage reduction from various sources: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Masel/SoloBuilds#/media/File:Damage_Taken_Calcs.jpg As you can see, protection alone reduces damage you take more than getting a full set of celestial.
Hey Masel, you are an excellent source of information for the community and the information you put out is top-notch! Thanks for your hard work! Great build!
Hey man! Great video! I am doing my Ascended Gear for my only character since I just started playing 2 months ago and I have a question.. You're build is full Berserker stats with Assassin Amulet, some other builds that I saw were full Berserker too but with Headgear and Pants Assassin. What's the REAL difference and how to choose from one way or another? I know I have to keep the 75% crit chance but what's the better way here? Thank you so much!
There is no real differencein power, I just choose the gear variants that require fewer changes for efficiency reasons. The fewer pieces of gear you have in non-berserker, the more universally applicable for power builds ascended gear becomes. If you intend to make another character that might require full Berserker, using an amulet requires you to replace only one piece, while head and pants require multiple. That's especially important as trinkets can be farmed, while armor needs to be crafted.
this build is just insane...like the survivability increases a lot...i dont have all the runes yet but it still shreds the enemy and keeps me alive too
Celestial is not great for power builds, since you waste a bunch of stats (condi damage expertise, healing power also isnt that beneficial here) and you lose power, ferocity and crit chance. If you want additional resilience, change a few larger pieces to Knight's :) that way you keep the precision for more reliable damage. I mean in the end, if you have celestial anyway you can use it, it's a decent set, just better for condi builds :)
@@MaselMMO I was already wearing the celestial and just wasn't in the mood to swap it out yet but was eager to test. I have to say i had several mobs on me and whittled them down to nothing fast between the shroud abilities, wells and 'chilled to the bone'. Also the concentration is pretty nice with the might, fury and quickness procs. I'm even more curious now to try it with berserker.
@@VenusMonkeyNot META but with my very limited experience celestial let's you spec swap easily and makes you a bit tougher. You're no DPS machine but I think it's a fun set unless you've got multiple sets of armor in your suitcase. DPS armor has no vitality or healing and you use that. Want to off heal or crit? swap specs and weapons. I'll min-max once I'm better outfitted
@@FoulPet Exactly. I do keep more than one armor set on my main and one other character, but most of the time I don't miss the extra dps when I use celestial at least for open world. There are times when I do feel the need for the extra precision and power (especially on power virtuoso...I'm mesmer main).

is this better than the power greatsword on meta battle?
how do you get your crosshair to look like that? 3:00
Can i use this build with death magic and minions?
I use atleast 1 minion to distract the enemies as its much easier to play
Solid build, just need to get 3 berseker and 2 knights for that extra HP maybe?
My main character for 8 years
good at everything - open world, frectal , strikes, raids
and not bad at pvp & wvw

2 Assassins Armor Pieces give the same value as 1 Assassin Amulet then?

I just tested the open world version and it's fantastic. Only difference was I used celestial armor, but I felt pretty unstoppable.

@@VenusMonkey ATM I'm messing with everything. Ranger,Mesmer and Neco got the most play time. I just started Engineer and like it as well.
Nice that HoT HP archer is one the hardest to kill solo in the game.
how are u keeping up fury
The trait "Dread" in Spite grants it whenever you apply fear, and the elite skill "chilled to the bone" does too
Got you and is that berserker gear
Every build is an easy build in this absolute joke braindead easy game
Ok mate, keep shooting guns like in your profile picture, that'll improve the world just as much as this comment
