Really enjoyed the video and banta. However, I think you should do a “part Two” from the perspective of a Woman’s point of view with their shopping needs and habits. Not necessarily only women, but the shoppers who hold together the mainstay of the family. Just my point of view from outside looking in you understand.
The Grand Arcade simply did not need to be built. Nice to see Luke touch on it. It was the death blow to the Galleries, it just took a long time to roll over. It was also a much more 'Wigan focused' building with its links to the miners, the shape and materials used for the building etc etc.
I don’t want to sound like a Wigan Council baser. The thing now is Wigan as been gutted over the years by the Council completely destroyed and they killed the heart of Wigan, what a great place it use to be over 40 years ago. Now Wigan Council wants the public to have a say on the development of the town center. My friends from the Council we can’t reverse what damage you have done you have destroyed Wigan and to me Wigan before was unique, now you want us to join in what happens, it’s a bit late for that.
