I had 6 golf lessons and this wasn't mentioned once. Learnt more in this video than in all 6 lessons put together.

Such a relief to see this video. Starting over at 58 after not playing since high school. Old carpenter who played cricket and tennis and dropping the back leg out of the way was the way to hit the ball well.👍

I’ve been playing 5 years and struggling to maintain a 28 handicap. I found that video so informative. I’m going back to the basics explained in the video.

Mike Malaska is great!! I wish I had his teaching 38 years ago when I started golf. His explanations are excellent and applicable. The man interviewing him really brings out a lot from him making it easier to take in. Keep up the great work! Tom Purtzer

His split grip hockey drill on his channel is a nice easy drill to get a feel of the club swinging around you. Doing that at the start of my range sessions definitely has helped me this year

The advice to start practice with a tee is so good. As a beginner I’ve been getting so distracted by thinning my shots; using a tee may help me focus on club head and path first, as described at 7:00 in the video. Thanks! ⛳️

I have really enjoyed listening to you talk about the golf swing and being athletic. Listening to how your game got so confusing when you tried to be so technical and hit all these positions your told to be in.
I love how you talk about getting to impact in a athletic, natural way! Every time I try to be technical with my swing and get away from being athletic I'm a mess. Love your philosophy and how you explain your journey.

Being a senior golfer I lack a lot of flexibility so I tried the set up with back foot pulled back in my stance, this added a lot of distance to all my shots... This worked and it was so easy to repeat.. Thanks for the videos..

Winner of a video, been searching for "beginner golf course" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Keniden Benilliam Release - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got amazing success with it.

Brandon , Good videos with Mike, they really made click, Been trying Mike method for more than a year, good improvements, from 9hdc to 4.I was early opener wich made me an over the top player, just like you, when I could change it was making the oposite movement before starting my downswing( arms back ) then making the Malaska move.I can see that you make the wrong move closing the club face ( remember the drill breaking wood with an axe )
Your videos with Mike realy help my game . Pablo

I hit the driver so much better with this setup. Gonna try it with irons, perhaps try that when I'm pitching, too.

The backswing you made when doing mikes drill is the best I've ever seen you make on this channel. Play with that feel

I really enjoyed this one B. Good to see the grip basics again. I had not seen the grip above the head trick to get it in the fingers.

Mr Brendon, , I dont agree with you. This video is not only for beginners. This video session open my 'Aha' moment, even though I have played golf for over 30 years. Now only I know that club face and swing path are more important than the swing itself. i play off 18 and never seem to progress, especially because i prioritize on hitting it hard. TQ, tq, tq Mr Malaska.

The giant club face clubs are brilliant! Is there any place one can buy some? Amazing for home practice and probably useful to interest a true beginner (spouse or friend)
