I'm waiting for exactly that. Just it has to be treated more like a nolan film, that kinda quality, but R Rated. Deathstroke is such a great character he'd need proper treatement they'd need to get him and the story 100% right to pull it off. Personally i think Mark Wahlberg would make a good Slade Wilson. Marv Wolfman and George Perez would have to be involved in the creation/story process.
In my opinion, the Deathstroke from the Cartoonetwork show, Teen Titans is the best iteration of this assassin, making him a fan of psychological torture. Even though he couldn't beat all the titans by hi self, his tend to psychologically break his victims gave him a devilishly figure. And after he came back from hell with those supernatural powers, he became one of the most complete villains in the world.
Jadin Mallory **Spoilers** I think this is how it happened from what I remember Slade was fighting Terra when she, in order to save the Titans, used her power and ended up sacrificing herself to kill Slade. He ends up burning in lava until he makes a deal with Raven's father, Trigone, to come back to life and now had awesome demon powers. Although it's been a while since I've seen the show.
Deathstroke is probably the only anti-hero/villain who can Batman a run for his money. I think Deathstroke should've been the main antagonist in The Dark Knight Rises
yeah, but my comment was in reply to yours about deathstroke being the only villain to give batman a run for his money and about him being the main antagonist in dark knight rises .. im simply saying bane is a more iconic/ suitable villain for batman in his standalone film for the reason stated.
Infeel like the person who played bane in dark knight returns, would play a better deathstroke. Bane is a Mexican giant, a lot bigger than Batman. Deathstroke is American so Tom Hardy could play him true to his origins. Also him and Batman are the same size so we could see deathstroke VS Batman.

Shadownet Spy maybe there will be more seasons with him along with his brother, Deadpool, who in the Teen Titans perspective would be called Wade, it would also feature the Suicide Squad, Victor Zsasz, Batgirl, the X-men, Cree Lincoln, Father, the Joker, Scarecrow, Batman, and several others, when I'm done with it, it'll get the same treatment Samurai Jack is getting
Actually you're right . In the nineties I remember having an issue of his comic where all the DC superheroes(superman, aquaman, batman, flash etc) come after him and he beats them all ! That made him the most awesome super/anti-hero in my book!
Apparently he was originally gonna be a far more significant part of the game (which is why he's in all the adverts), but they had a deadline to keep, as the whole game was really only created to fill the Batman-media gap in the holidays WB had while Rocksteady started working on a proper sequel to Arkham City for next-gen consoles. That's also probably why there's so many glitches: not enough time to clean them all up before release.
I know, somewhere I heard they called him Slade because "death stroke sounded cool" but putting "the terminator" at the end of it makes him sound silly. Idk if this is true, I just heard it somewhere.
faolan1686 Yep, Deathstroke is the best Arrow's villain so far, 2nd is Merlyn (because he is the greatest Green Arrow's villain in the comics) and 3rd is Ra's Al Ghul (becuase he defeated Oliver in a very brutal way as a FATALITY of Mortal Kombat) in my opinion.
His second son Joesph is still alive. He got his vocal cords slit and became mute. Later he found he had powers and became jericho and joined the teen titans. Can't believe they messed up on that.
+Elizabeth Darnell Slade's family is basically too OP. Ravager #1 (dead), Ravager #2 (Rose), Jericho, and Slade himself. Juuust Joking bro. I know each is of one company and are completely unrelated and I was just thinking how fun it would for those two to go in an assasination together. There was once a story about a guy with the longest youtube name
Holy shit. This is crazy. I knew the mask and the name "Slade" sounded familiar. I remember watching him and him being an enemy in an earlier version of Teen Titans. Years later I'm just now putting the pieces together and seeing that this is Deathstroke. Man, this is amazing.
His few scenes in Young Justice amazing. Just loved that fight between him and Sports Master. Still cannot understand why that show was canceled. The writing, animation and voice casting were all first class and the fans loved it.
The way kids cartoons work is, you need to be able to sell merchandise. That's why shows like spongebob, fairly oddparents, and adventure time are still on. The y get good ratings and they sell merch like crazy. Young justice did not sell well, and the toy company funding it, didn't see it as worth it.
Nightcast9 The target audience was for teens. Unfortunately, they are not known for crying and making a scene in Wal-Mart if mommy doesn't buy them the latest action figure. I was hoping Young Justice would proceed to 'direct release DVD' land after the show was axed. It seems like a natural fit, in my opinion.
Deathstroke is the whole reason I've gotten into comics. I used to hate comics and super hero's but I always loved Deathstroke. Finally I decided to read one of his comics and fell in love with them. This opened me up to the entire DC Universe and has made me like a ton of characters.
HOLD UP!! I have the original Teen Titans origin of Deathstroke. Joseph was not killed. Slade was not fast enough to keep the kidnappers from cutting his son's larynx, resulting in him losing his voice, but the kid did not die. SEE Jericho from the Teen Titans history. Still thanks for putting this up.
You are exactly right. I, too, have the TT issues with Deathstroke (and Jericho and Tara) and thought the inconsistency should've been addressed later in the video.
The DeathSkeleton Interesting,I was gonna mention that...if this narrator is going to comic source material at least get it right. Teen Titans was a title series I collected and I loved this story arc. Jericho was mute because of nearly surviving a slit throat, but his powers manifested due to Slade having been experimented on. And it is also important to mention Rose(Ravager).
When I was a kid and didn’t really keep up much with comics and their adaptations I didn’t make the connection that Slade from TT was deathstroke and when I did connect it all together I felt as if I could give Batman a run for his money as the worlds greatest detective.
that's correct, then in the early/mid 90's his Joseph (Jericho) became possessed by the corrupted spirits of the place Raven was raised and in a moment of clarity asked his father to kill him to free him which Deathstroke did
He's kinda the opposite of Captain America. lol That fight would be so epic. Deathstroke is the ultimate comic character. In every adaptation of him he's a bad ass. Doesn't matter what his origin or motivation is, he's a bad ass. And the only reason he ever gets beat is because the good guy has to win.
laz kar 1. What prompted you to talk shit on my comment? I can't have my opinion? 2. When I said "ultimate comic character" I followed that up with he's a bad ass in every adaptation of him. Some comic characters are sometimes weaker or just completely different from their comic center part but with Deathstroke he's always a bad ass.....Nowhere did i say agree with me or die.
The only incarnation of Deathstroke that felt like more than just a generic super-mercenary type character was him as "Slade" in the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon. He just seemed much more interesting because he was more of the shadowy puppet master influencing things from behind the scenes, yet was still utterly terrifying to fight in person.
I first saw this guy, and only knew of him in Teen Titans the TV show on cartoon network, god he is SO BADASS! Never knew there was even more to his story!
Lol Jericho wasn't murdered actually. I can't remember, but I think The Jackal Took out his throat which is why he is mute and has a scarf around his neck all the time. He did come out in Teen Titans but the relationship between him and Slade as usual isn't mentioned.
I loved him in teen titans as Slade. Such a badass and his voice fit him so well. Would of been cool if Ron Perlman voiced him in the new Batman Arkham city but Im sure the guy voicing him will be fine too.
they have similar abilities and were both soldiers but the personalities and motives are entirely different. plus deathstroke usually gets shown as a brilliant tactician but a lone wolf while captain america is a team leader
laz kar not even an anti-hero a lot of the time. in several stories he's just a villain or working for a villain. Deathstroke has a very destructive personality. he cares only about being the best and as a result his entire life outside of the mission is a spectacular mess. his kids hate him he has few friends and allies, the mission is literally all he has.
So Slade was Deathstroke. I feel stupid for not knowing that now but I was a kid when I first watched Teen Titans and I hadn't heard of Deathstroke then.
+Heather_Veley yep, and in the entire comic book universe, Dick Grayson has proven to be the only normal human to ever be able to fight him equally. and this guy has beat both Green Arrow and Batman, the latter multiple times.
It's just funny if you think about it, one of the main conflicts in Teen Titans was Robin trying to figure out "Slade's" identity. "WHO ARE YOU SLADE?" Goddamnit you're calling him by his real name already...
Slade is the dark side that good men can succumb too. His archetype is what happens when a principaled soldier becomes jaded. Everything he fought for was for naught, and in the process of trying to find himself again, he lost everything else.
for those who didnt know, slade is not only from teem titans but known to be the father of wade, deadpool, himself. deadpool had always wanted to be like his father, a mercenary, but had gone through project x. slade is also a cyborg for thosw who had never seen the episode of teen titans when they unmasked him
actually tempest is right however, what u said is very common mistake that people make. This is due to both having the same last name and a very similar alias. Both are known as the best assassin's in their respected universe. The simple truth is that Deathstroke was created first and Deadpool was originally created as rip-off/parody of Deathstroke
Why is Deathstroke classified as a villain. From my experience of reading Deathstroke comics He is more like an anti-hero or anti-villian. He is not really a villain and has good morals.
You don't have to be evil to be a villain. By this thought process we should really reavluate how many comic book characters we can actually refer to as "Hero"
His healing factor in his blood that enables him to heal from physical injury much faster than a normal person; however, it does have limitations, as he could not heal his missing eye and cannot regenerate entire limbs.
Darth Revan more like... Marvels Deadpool is a DC Deathstroke rip-off Rob Liefeld, a fan of the Teen Titans comics, showed his new character to then writer Fabian Nicieza. Upon seeing the costume and noting his characteristics (killer with super agility), Nicieza contacted Liefeld, saying "this is Deathstroke from Teen Titans." Nicieza gave Deadpool the real name of "Wade Wilson" as an inside-joke to being "related" to "Slade Wilson", Deathstroke.
***** don't bother judging by Black0raz0r picture he's a huge dc fanboy who has already made up his mind who is better and no reason in the world can change that.
I just want this Wilson to show everybody how he really does things. He doesn't lose to 10 yr. olds,he doesn't cry over a dead woman,he terminates his opponents. See the pun? Of course you do
I don't argue that. I was simply stating that is how he started out. The fact that he has not only managed to separate himself from but also eclipse Deathstroke in terms of noteriety, popularity, & influence is a testament to this fact as well as the talent of those who have worked on him.
Deathstroke is my favourite DC character and he always will be, also, for those that think the other way around, Dead Pool is actually based off of Deathstroke, not the other way around
***** Thanks. I only watch Teen Titans, Young Justice, Avengers:Earth's mightiest heroes and...well...Danny Phantom, which has nothing to do with Marvel or DC. So I'm not really what you'd call an expert. :D
when I was a kid I always thought Slade looked like a double A battery XD
YOU SIR!
LOL
Man I died laughing after watching this!
Lol
Duracell? Lol
I want to see a solo Deathstroke Rated R movie
Like deadpool
Yesss
I'm waiting for exactly that. Just it has to be treated more like a nolan film, that kinda quality, but R Rated. No he's better on arrow
Manu Bennett and Ron perlman are the only good versions of the character we got outside of the comics
Slade in Teen Titans series was nerved to be just a human character like Robin.
Deathstroke is probably the only anti-hero/villain who can Batman a run for his money. I think Deathstroke should've been the main antagonist in The Dark Knight Rises
+Ace's High but bane is famous for breaking both batman and bruce wayne. and if not mistaken, hes the only one to be able to do that..
Declan Dias Last time I checked it took the whole Justice League to defeat Deathstroke.
yeah, but my comment was in reply to yours about deathstroke being the only villain to give batman a run for his money and about him being the main antagonist in dark knight rises .. im simply saying bane is a more iconic/ suitable villain for batman in his standalone film for the reason stated.

Bane is a Mexican giant, a lot bigger than Batman. Deathstroke is American so Tom Hardy could play him true to his origins. Also him and Batman are the same size so we could see deathstroke VS Batman.
+subhan malik - Who said Tom Hardy is American?
Deathstroke is by far one of the saddest stories.
Slade loses 3 kids and his wife due do his bad decisions.
I think the CW show gave him justice.
But my wife is the reason why I lost my eye, and the show made no mention of my children...
Slade Wilson
Well the EYE kinda but that was your fault.
+ they cant show 100% of the comic storyline.
What about the Punisher from Marvel? His entire family got killed.
Fredrik HL
Death-stroke held his wife, and son dying in his arms.
Then his daughter went nuts and stabbed her eye to be like daddy.
Yup
DC could make a live action movie for this guy alone and it would be amazing. Enough Superhero movies, let's try making a movie about a guy who's not so "heroic".
Lets hope he's in suicide squad
Bartrollomeo the god damn "i cant kill cause i stll have humanty" bullshit aways piss me off, its so god damn hard for us to get a hero that kills ...
***** *COUGH* Arrow *cough*
adamushu yeah .. but S1 was actually pretty good. i enjoyed. that season finale aswell. but then ... u can see the teen drama growing. and season3 .....
hm
Teen Titans version of Slade is my favorite, but I do really like the Arrow version too.
In this video he seemed more agressive than in Teen Titans, I don't like that. He was always the calm genius villain. Plus, I only know him as "Slade", not as "Deathstroke".
All in all, I think the TT version of him was my favorite.
xemidemon Krusty That's because he is. He isn't a master mind villain with minions, he is a hired assassin who works for others.
Legion640 Yeah, but still. I'm used to him being the one who uses others to get what he wants, not the other way around. Plus, in TT, he has his robots as "minions". :D
Yah, but wasn't death stroke trained by the same person as batman
OH ME GUD No. Deathstroke was trained by the military and had several experiments done on him, which increased his agility, intelligence, durability, and strength.
Slade was fucking badass in Teen Titans.
I can't believe I never made the connection that the main bad guy was Deathstroke. I thought he was a totally different person with a similar suit...
ThorSon525
it was the color scheme, it felt too blended comared to what his original shading was. Black & dark beige ≠ Blue & orange
Back in the day, Slade, the Teen Titans version, gave me nightmares lol
He played his role perfectly in that series. I wish they would've done more seasons with him.
Yeah, so do I.
21melpomene so I guess the Teen Titans version of Deathstroke's brother would just be called Wade?
Shadownet Spy maybe there will be more seasons with him along with his brother, Deadpool, who in the Teen Titans perspective would be called Wade, it would also feature the Suicide Squad, Victor Zsasz, Batgirl, the X-men, Cree Lincoln, Father, the Joker, Scarecrow, Batman, and several others, when I'm done with it, it'll get the same treatment Samurai Jack is getting
21melpomene same lol
I swear to god hes the bigest badass guy in whole DC!
your joking right?
DarkHeartz nope
Yep
Actually you're right . In the nineties I remember having an issue of his comic where all the DC superheroes(superman, aquaman, batman, flash etc) come after him and he beats them all ! That made him the most awesome super/anti-hero in my book!
I know you meant to say Bruce Wayne! We forgive you.
There wasn't enough Deathstroke in Batman: AO. One fight scene. That's it.
yeah :-\
Apparently he was originally gonna be a far more significant part of the game (which is why he's in all the adverts), but they had a deadline to keep, as the whole game was really only created to fill the Batman-media gap in the holidays WB had while Rocksteady started working on a proper sequel to Arkham City for next-gen consoles.
That's also probably why there's so many glitches: not enough time to clean them all up before release.
ya thats all we needed he was hard as shit
yeah, it was a badass fight though.
Ron Prealman was a great voice for Slade in Teen Titans.
and he is the right age to play death stroke in a live action movie
+geromino97 I think so too
+geromino97 he's even got the muscle to play him
Holy Shit, I was just about to search up who the voice actor was. Ron Perlman is so gifted.
Darkteen75 Yeah, one of his most famous roles just happens to be Hellboy
Omg i was so dumb i used to watch teen titans the tv show and i never knew it was deathstroke just because they call him slade mot deathstroke....
I know, somewhere I heard they called him Slade because "death stroke sounded cool" but putting "the terminator" at the end of it makes him sound silly. Idk if this is true, I just heard it somewhere.
***** That makes a lot of sense too.
I now him as Slade so personally I like Slade better then Death Stroke as Sade sounds more intimidating.
Mahsuri Sharkawi Yep.
Primal9000's youtube acc from roblox And he didn't use guns he used a staff
i want a deathstroke movieee
He will appear in the Suicide Squad movie, let's hope he will have his own movie.
And let's hope it's Manu Bennett playing him. It probably won't be but fuck he was awesome in Arrow.
faolan1686 Yep, Deathstroke is the best Arrow's villain so far, 2nd is Merlyn (because he is the greatest Green Arrow's villain in the comics) and 3rd is Ra's Al Ghul (becuase he defeated Oliver in a very brutal way as a FATALITY of Mortal Kombat) in my opinion.
Qbb Rock! Dude spoilers. Season 3 isn't out in Australia yet.
faolan1686 Wow.... Sorry
manu bennett is the perfect slade wilson/deathstroke on arrow.
thanks man

nope, Ron Perlman is
Not really, he lacks "assassin" side to him. A contractor assassin side that is.

You know, the Teen Titans cartoon had quite a few flaws, but Ron Perlman as Slade was a "Stroke" of genius...
...I'll leave now.
The Teen Titans cartoon interpretation was the fucking best.
I liked the voice and how he overpowered and outsmarted the titans, but i feel he didn't show enough cockiness and i didn't like his outfit that much. I feel like they still could've stuck to the comics costume with a bit of the metallic armor feel.
He really was a smartass in TT. But, I mean, who am I to talk? I don't know any other verion of Slade, and I didn't read the TT comics either...°_°
xemidemon Krusty The comics version is alot better. if he were anything like the comics they wouldn't come near ever beating him in a fight.
freddyhdz77 Then...how did they manage in the comics?O.o
xemidemon Krusty Well usually he won or they needed someone especially strong or good to fight him.
Came here after seeing Ben Affleck posted a video of Deathstroke today on his social media account.
same
Fruit Ninja if it's a hand to hand fight deathstroke will easily kick deadshots ass deadshot can only beat deathstroke if he's able to blindside him but that RARELY happens
I got a Deathstroke poster in front of my bed...yep my life is complete.
Were did you get it :O
Kmart LOL
haha wtf kmart hooked it up lol damn i wanna get one tho.
yea i recently got mine too lol
Their son Joe wasn't murdered. His throat was cut and his vocal cords were severed and he became Jericho. Jericho joined the Teen Titans.
sorry but this guys heaps cooler than deadpool
Pffftt..."Cooler than Deadpool?"
Please lay off the crack you're smoking... it's bad for your physical and mental health as your comment clearly shows.
you telling me these other 17 people are smoking crack?
plus, deadpool is a parody of deathstroke, a rip off.
Deadpool was never really known for being "cool." Funny, random, psychotic? Sure, but I don't really associate him with cool.
Deadpool is for edgy teens. Deathstroke is for men.
ciyoduhkriter tell that to the box office
So Deadpool is a rip-off of Deathstroke, then?
Parody!, gosh it's like the twentieth time i've told someone this, marvel declared Wade was a parody of Slade.
MJuegaES Wade has no skills, no experience, no training, no focus, no balance. He just woke up 1 morning and said to himself: I wanna go out and kill people.
Zenardo He has skills, he was in the military, he knows combat training and handling of firearms. You can't look for logic in Deadpool comics though, it's too wacky to even think of doing that.
You're thinking of Deathstroke.
And Xmen Origin doesn't count, that wasn't even an Xmen movie.
For so long Deathstroke the Terminator was my favorite villain. Glad they gave this character some justice by putting him in Arkham Origins. And they didn't really disappoint either.
Yeah, but you gotta remember the game's in Batman's favor. Then again, you also have to give it to Batman for being a normal human with no genetic enhancements, of course.
ilia2K10 I think the game did a good job of making a awesome fight that looked to be completely equal in strength and abilities until the very end.
Fernando Mendoza You also need to remember that Batman is a master of every fighting stlye in the world.
Stay golden
I'm the deathstroke round here!
SLADE! I didn't realize Deathstroke was the main baddie in Teen Titans. The more you know!
same here!! O.O
One thing you may also not know thats going to ruin your image is in the comics, slade had a sexual relationship with terra and thats how he manipulated her(terra was indeed underaged at this time) so yes he is also now a pedophile.
lylatfox4 Oh My God....
Hmm... just another reason to dislike him I suppose.
lylatfox4 what in the actual fu-
While this guy was created to be the perfect soldier like Captain America its just a weird coincidence that he is a mercenary and his name is Slade Wilson while Deadpool is a merc also and his name is Wade Wilson.
Actually Deadpool is supposed to be a spoof of Deathstroke
Charles Cameron Deadpool has even mentioned this indirectly hinting at his apperance and name are a bit too similar to another mercenary.
Do your research. Deathstroke was created before Deadpool, Deadpool was originally a parody of Deathstroke.
***** thank you... for once a marvel guy says the truth lol
OSMADO idk I like both Marvel and DC but I didn't really do research into the creation of both characters, I just noticed their names are related
Man, back when I was a kid, Slade gave me nightmares in that one episode with his "ghost"
Yeah, his voice actor did a great job with a lot of that dialogue.
Untill now I realised he is the villian in teen titans.... I feel dumb now
He's actually more of a Green Arrow enemy.
Ryan Acraman
In the new series, yea. But before that he was more of a teen titan/batman/justice league villain.
Ryan Acraman Not really, not at all actually.
i was about to type the same thing..
Ryan Acraman
Only within the Arrow universe, if anything he is Dick Grayson's arch-villain.
For Drexom X: You are partially right, Raven's prime (and virtually only) enemy is Trigon.
Jericho (Joseph) wasn't murdered he got his throat slit, he later joined the teen titans
Sean Mounts no, he said Joseph
I know, but they also said Joseph was killed
So Slade from teen titans is just deathstroke... I get it now!
The way they made his character in titans it seemed like Slade was an entirely different person.
Yes, Joseph Stalin
so, this is Slade from the Teen Titans cartoon? awesome. I didn't know he was so developed in the DC Universe. I thought he was just generic. now, he seems kinda awesome.

Nicholas Hylton I think they got rid of it to make room for the (I can't stress enough how bad it is) piece of shit Teen Titans Go!
The Gothamville Crusaders That or some other animated (but more merchandisable) piece of trash.
Deathstroke is the whole reason I've gotten into comics. I used to hate comics and super hero's but I always loved Deathstroke. Finally I decided to read one of his comics and fell in love with them. This opened me up to the entire DC Universe and has made me like a ton of characters.
Manu Bennett's portrayal of Slade was just legendary
Greatest assassin in Comic book history.
Trivial611 Damien darhk is best
Love the Slade Wilson in the TV show arrow, poor deathstroke lost both his sons more of a tortured soul than villain
HOLD UP!! I have the original Teen Titans origin of Deathstroke. Joseph was not killed. Slade was not fast enough to keep the kidnappers from cutting his son's larynx, resulting in him losing his voice, but the kid did not die. SEE Jericho from the Teen Titans history.
Still thanks for putting this up.
you didnt know thaat
The originator of the video made statements that Slade's kid died.
You are exactly right. I, too, have the TT issues with Deathstroke (and Jericho and Tara) and thought the inconsistency should've been addressed later in the video.
Deathstroke > Deadpool.
Marvel copycats
Well deadpool was a parody
+Ryan Bacarella exactly he was SUPPOSED to be similar to death stroke as a joke
Marvel only had spiderman as an original hero
@@Dr_Harsh07 Ehm Captain America ?Storm ?Wolverine ?
so basically Deathstroke is Captain America gone wrong...
In a sense, only worst
Joseph was not killed, he was turned mute
Shoulda mentioned the tv show Arrow. Not the same back story but he appears in that show.
I like how he's Australian in it
SABRETOOTHMOOSELION its pretty commonly accepted that he was always australian
this video came out in August 2013 while Arrow came out in October 2013.
Ousmane Ba you haven't watched the show I take it Because slade was introduced before the second season started.
I watched every episode so far and i think the reason because of slade not being in here is because back then he was just slade and not deathstroke.
well there's one problem with this, Jericho was never killed by the Jackal, he was made mute.
besides that its pretty accurate
The DeathSkeleton Interesting,I was gonna mention that...if this narrator is going to comic source material at least get it right. Teen Titans was a title series I collected and I loved this story arc. Jericho was mute because of nearly surviving a slit throat, but his powers manifested due to Slade having been experimented on. And it is also important to mention Rose(Ravager).
I loved Ron Perlman as Slade.
Come here Slade!
When? Where?
doodl3bugg13
In the Teen Titans cartoon. His voice acting was great. I really liked the way he portrayed the character.
Also in Flashpoint Paradox, Ron Perlman voices Slade, even thought it's such a short appearance.
FatBestialSwan Not too big a fan myself.
In the comics and YJ he was a cool no-nonsense assassin. But TT cartoon made him sound like a creepy stalker.
You forgot to mention that he could use 90% of his brain instead of 10% that a normal person use
That's a myth... Humans use way more than 10% of there brain at all times. Even in sleep!
***** Yeah, I guess you're right. I'll put down the pitchfork XD
When I was a kid and didn’t really keep up much with comics and their adaptations I didn’t make the connection that Slade from TT was deathstroke and when I did connect it all together I felt as if I could give Batman a run for his money as the worlds greatest detective.
deathstroke sons throat was slit rendering him mute. or at least that's what I have heard
that's correct, then in the early/mid 90's his Joseph (Jericho) became possessed by the corrupted spirits of the place Raven was raised and in a moment of clarity asked his father to kill him to free him which Deathstroke did
He's kinda the opposite of Captain America. lol That fight would be so epic.
He is a pretty cool character in his own way
The only incarnation of Deathstroke that felt like more than just a generic super-mercenary type character was him as "Slade" in the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon. He just seemed much more interesting because he was more of the shadowy puppet master influencing things from behind the scenes, yet was still utterly terrifying to fight in person.
So basically Deathstroke is Captain America gone wrong.
I know you didn't just call the embodiment of all that is America lame. I will sic a bald eagle on you.
Marvel ripped off deadpool from deathstroke
TheFlamingDoh2 No, he's extremely lame lol
Basically Deathstroke is like if they made Captain America cool XD
***** actually captain america is not lame.
Only thing same that is the same with cap and stroke is there military story x stroke got the pussy
I first saw this guy, and only knew of him in Teen Titans the TV show on cartoon network, god he is SO BADASS! Never knew there was even more to his story!
Mentioned that he is the original Terminator.
Didn't even mention he's the original Wilson.
Correction Joseph wans't killed, his vocal cords were damaged rendering him unable to speak
Lol Jericho wasn't murdered actually. I can't remember, but I think The Jackal Took out his throat which is why he is mute and has a scarf around his neck all the time. He did come out in Teen Titans but the relationship between him and Slade as usual isn't mentioned.
Joseph wasn't murdered he just had his vocal cords severed
Deathstroke (Slade) in Teen Titans (2003-06) was respectable as fu@%.
The REAL Deathstroke could take out the Teen Titans pretty easily
I love the how the show Arrow portrayed him. And how the show ties together a lot of different characters and shows their origin stories in detail.
I loved him in teen titans as Slade. Such a badass and his voice fit him so well. Would of been cool if Ron Perlman voiced him in the new Batman Arkham city but Im sure the guy voicing him will be fine too.
I never found out who the F Slade was in Teen Titans from CN as a kid...that was mostly due to me never looking it up...but now...I'm happy :)
Next to Batman, Deathstroke is one of my all time favorite characters. Glad to see he's a major force on the Arrow TV show too.
So basically Captain America gone bad? Fantastic.
they have similar abilities and were both soldiers but the personalities and motives are entirely different. plus deathstroke usually gets shown as a brilliant tactician but a lone wolf while captain america is a team leader
immortallvulture Oh ok then.
I think you mean, "Captain America gone BETTER!"
laz kar not even an anti-hero a lot of the time. in several stories he's just a villain or working for a villain. Deathstroke has a very destructive personality. he cares only about being the best and as a result his entire life outside of the mission is a spectacular mess. his kids hate him he has few friends and allies, the mission is literally all he has.
I think death stroke is more like big boss from the metal gear solid series and less cap America because of the way he fights and the way he thinks
He is in the army, he goes in a secret experiment to be a super soldier SEEMS LIKE CAPN MURICA
That was an editing error by cartoon network, they did not want to use his mono cure as deathstroke because kids are watching.
I think it was more of what he was then who he was. And your name doesn't really say who you are entirely.
I really wanted to see Deathstroke in the big screens, it would be badass.
Marvel made Deathstroke way better
@@Scorpion-xw9bt shut the hell up
@@mingchenwei1978 Deathstroke is a rip-off of Taskmaster. They were created by the same creator. I shut you up know
@@Sub-Zero100 what is this argument even over huh
my favorite villain of all time
He not a villian he only do villianous things when he told to he the person to get hire to do the job
Slade is the dark side that good men can succumb too. His archetype is what happens when a principaled soldier becomes jaded. Everything he fought for was for naught, and in the process of trying to find himself again, he lost everything else.
Why would Slade want revenge against the Teen Titans if HIVE was responsible for injecting/killing his son?
he had to
3:43 *Live actions "series-es"... :}
for those who didnt know, slade is not only from teem titans but known to be the father of wade, deadpool, himself. deadpool had always wanted to be like his father, a mercenary, but had gone through project x. slade is also a cyborg for thosw who had never seen the episode of teen titans when they unmasked him
Deathstroke is DC while Deadpool is Marvel. They're not in the same Universe.
Sorry but none of thats true
actually tempest is right however, what u said is very common mistake that people make. This is due to both having the same last name and a very similar alias. Both are known as the best assassin's in their respected universe. The simple truth is that Deathstroke was created first and Deadpool was originally created as rip-off/parody of Deathstroke
I love Deathstroke he is underrated.
When people see Deathstroke, everyone thinks he reminds of Deadpool
Why is Deathstroke classified as a villain. From my experience of reading Deathstroke comics He is more like an anti-hero or anti-villian. He is not really a villain and has good morals.
Because they don't truly know Deathstroke.
You don't have to be evil to be a villain. By this thought process we should really reavluate how many comic book characters we can actually refer to as "Hero"
So in the New Teen Titans #20, it's the first appearance of Ravager and Deathstroke?
Deathstroke my fav of all time always 👌🏽👌🏽💯💯🔥
Why didn't Deathstroke regrow his eye? If his wife shot him after the experiment?
His healing factor in his blood that enables him to heal from physical injury much faster than a normal person; however, it does have limitations, as he could not heal his missing eye and cannot regenerate entire limbs.
Ted Canning Oh I see......So he is not exacly like Deadpool
Exactly*
Darth Revan more like... Marvels Deadpool is a DC Deathstroke rip-off
Rob Liefeld, a fan of the Teen Titans comics, showed his new character to then writer Fabian Nicieza.
Of course you do
Another great DC idea MARVEL had to rip-off.
Actually more like an character a jilted writer took to Marvel as revenge against DC after they refused to letting him work on Deathstroke.
Deadpool evolved into his own thing. Honestly he's more of a parody of Deathstroke than anything.
but deadpool is way cooler and more success full like marvel is way cooler and better then dc
I don't argue that. I was simply stating that is how he started out. The fact that he has not only managed to separate himself from but also eclipse Deathstroke in terms of noteriety, popularity, & influence is a testament to this fact as well as the talent of those who have worked on him.
And you sound suspiciously like a troll.
My favorite Deathstrokes are Teen Titans (mind games ftw) and Arrow because we can sympathize with him somewhat.
+YatzSliversword
Deathstroke has always been a manipulator and a sympathetic character, some incarnations just lack most of what he's ment to be.
He's not evil, he just works for whoever pays him the most, but yeah, he does have a pretty similar origin to Cap. :P
Didn't Deathstroke have a daughter too? Rose Wilson?
You forgot to mention death stroke from Arrow
Because arrow has no origins based on the comics other than character names.
***** But, at it's core, it's the same. Man trapped on island. Man survives. Man seeks clarity. Man fights evil.
Basically, the same.
He deserves to be on the big screen
i know im going to get hate for this but i like the "the arrow" origins more
Nope, because he is cool as well.
No hates, here. I kinda also do >_>
probably because you were introduced to that version first
Can you guys switch to HD already
Deathstroke is my favourite DC character and he always will be, also, for those that think the other way around, Dead Pool is actually based off of Deathstroke, not the other way around
Top 10 actors that could play deathstroke!
1-10 Manu Bennett.
Lali Saa yess team arrow
1.) Manu Bennett
2.) Ron Perlman
Ron Perlman.TOPS!
For me the best actor to portray Deathstroke are Stephen Lang.
He's slated to play Cable in the Deadpool squeal.
Joseph wasn't killed by the Jackal, his throat was cut but he didn't die. It just rendered him mute and he ended up becoming the hero Jericho.
Slade Wilson.... any relation to Wade Wilson?
Who's that?
***** Thanks. I only watch Teen Titans, Young Justice, Avengers:Earth's mightiest heroes and...well...Danny Phantom, which has nothing to do with Marvel or DC. So I'm not really what you'd call an expert. :D
These videos would be better without the stock music...
And funnily enough, Slade was perhaps the most serious villain on the show. Much more serious than many other villains in other series too.
Who watched this after watching justice league??
why did they change Changeling's name to Beast Boy?
Beast Boy is actually his original name when he debuted in Doom Patrol. I believe he changed his name with the emergence of Animal Man.
Deathstroke is by far my favorite comic character! You can't stop him
Death stroke is a fuckin badass
