Hey man, i love your videos on the Ralliart Colt. I'm from EU, and i have a Colt 2004, 1.3. Love the car for it's mechanical quality and durability.
I'm interested in buying the Ralliart Colt in the far future. I want to ask you, is it possible to convert a Ralliart Colt from Right hand drive to Left hand drive?
If it is possible, what would i need to do to di it right? How much do you think (just a basic assumption, i know it varies with how it's done) it would cost?

Would be costly to convert. I don't think the colt was sold in lhd anywhere?

@@driftcarsjp Yeah the colt was sold in EU even from the early models from the 1980's. I myself had a 1991 Colt, also 1.3. That baby was so fun to drive. The gear shifter was smooth as butter and the carburator was so nicely adjusted, it felt alive. I was able to toe-heal downshift with ease. This new car, for fuel economy i suppose takes almost half a second to register the gas pedal being pressed.

I wonder why your lowering springs sit loose, would it be from tight bushings on the hinging point of the torsion bar? I would think the weight would push it in but then on big bumps what is pushing back on it? People rate sway bars for track use on these since high center of gravity from the roof.

I think the OEM rubbers that were on the bottom and top of the original rear springs were not put back when the lowering springs were put in. Top one not sure but the bottom one definitely seems to not be in place, I think they would fixate the springs by adding just a few centimeters. And also take out any annoying noises from the metal to metal contact of the spring on the seat. Nice car btw. You can buy both rubbers for a few bucks from Febi/Billstein.

The lower rubber that goes on the spring is only about 2mm thick and was worn through. It really needs lowered shocks to reduce the hang travel..

Great video, any plans on doing the gearbox yet?

@@driftcarsjp I think threading the top rods to size w a die set is the way to shorten shocks.

Hi mate how is reliability for this car? Iam not familiar with this platform and was wondering how reliable are these cars with 180-230k kms.

They seem to be a very tuff engine I have seen ralliart versions with 330000ks and there still going strong. The only issue is poor tuning and running high boost. If close to stock they are very reliable.

@@driftcarsjp appreciate your reply! Hopefully I managed to find a decent one in Sydney soon
