Well, 2 years after watching this video we finally made it here. Ate the Shrimp and Crawfish Étouffée today and riding trail ridge road tomorrow! Keep up the good work!
I get what you are talking about when you mention the snow! My Wife and I went "west" with two other couples in '18. We had been several times previous and kind of knew what to expect. We told them about clothes and so on. This was first week of June. Rode across the top of OK and it was 101 degrees! The other two couples thought we were crazy packing all the heated and cold weather gear. Until two days later and going across Wolf Creek Pass Colorado! Went to RMNP and Bear Tooth later in the trip and snow was piled high! Just beautiful! I never get tired of it! Thanks for the ride!
Yep!!! Thats exactly it! You get it. :) I get asked often if April or May are good times to visit CO since it's warm everywhere else, and people are always shocked to see that its not Summer here yet, lol! Thanks for watching!
Hi Stacy. That town where you stopped and got coffee. I lived there for 37 years. Rocky Mountain National Park was my back yard. Great video and beautiful pictures!!
Staci. Thanks for these great videos. Being from New England I especially like the history and narration of the areas you ride. I am planning to get out there during the summer of 2022, these videos will help me plan the perfect ride. Keep the videos coming, ride safe, and I hope to see you in the road. (I’ll be on the Blue Harley Davidson 😎) P.S. Your Ride to Food coffee mug is my favorite!
The scenic views in this video are KILLER. Love the look of that section that drops off on both sides. Reminds me of a section in Utah on Hwy 12 heading into Escalante, so freaky but so cool!

Wow!! What a beautiful ride! On my list for this up coming year. Must be freezing cold now. Thank you for sharing, you won a new subscriber (from the far south Argentina♥️)

Great video! I always liked to ride at when it opens for the season as well (I live in Colorado). I take turned on which way to go in. If I take Peak to Peak Highway I take the back road Mary’s Lake Road, on bike to avoid Estes Park traffic. Then I like to stop at The Country Market of Estes Park and they have a deli that makes good sandwiches and I have one of those before heading into the Beaver Meadows entrance. If I’m feeling like heading into Estes I park behind the Library and go to Claire’s Restaurant and Bar. I’ve always had great food there! It’s been a few years so I cannot speak to it since 2020 craziness. Excellent French Onion Soup when it’s chilly.
Noted!! ill have to check Claires out sometime. The traffic entering from estes is always soooo bad compared to the grand lake side, so I always ride over there and go in from the West entrance. The ride to get there is always enjoyable which is a plus ;) lol!

These roads would be Nice driving on a BMW 1250 GS(A). Maybe some grevel there too. The capability, driving pleasure, power is about a starship better:-) Nice pictures.
I live in Loveland and the Estest Park dining changes a lot with the notable exceptions of places like the Buckhorn & Stanely (make your reservation early for either of those and bring money). But Ed's Cantina & Grill and Mama Rose's are both just west of the 34/36 interchange on Elkhorn (South side overlooking the river) and are both decent.
I can’t wait to ride some of those roads, just beautiful. Is there a way to find out if the pavement is clear and dry before you go or is that sort of a gamble? Loving having some ride to food videos!
My favorite is skyline drive outside of canyon city. Took my truck once and I about shit myself it’s literally 800feet above everything around it and straight down on either side. It’s like driving through the sky no joke.
Great video as always, Staci! I rode Trail Ridge in '97 on my first solo cross-country trip. Been out to CO as recently as '18 but missed Trail Ridge (opted for Pike's instead). Have you done a video on the Million Dollar Highway (US 550)?
I tried to film MDH 3 different times this summer and the weather didn’t cooperate. Next summer, though! I’ve ridden it a dozen times in the past couple of years though
Staci, First thing first. Another good video. I've never been to Colorado. You said "we" a lot but I don't remember you identifying who "we" is. Maybe I missed it. Is that your boyfriend? And is he camera shy? Now my other questions: (Sorry, I'm a journalist.) What's the range of your bike and how much has your fuel costs gone up since 2019? Also how many days can you go without riding before you go just bat crazy?
Thanks! I say we in most of my videos because you are there with me via the video. You're the second person to ask me this actually! I don't force people to be in videos that wish to just be along for the ride while I'm working. So the person in this video did just that - they rode their own ride and stayed off camera. Gas is through the roof and my cost of travel has more than doubled in the past two years. I can't afford to ride daily anymore, only when I leave to make videos and work.
@@ridetofood Now that's a shame you can't ride every day now. I'm sure it's worst for the independent truckers. I like your explanation of "we". Thanks for inviting us to go along. I was watching American Outdoors, a PBS program Saturday night and the destination was Death Valley if you haven't been there you show go. And yes, I think your videos could easily convert into a show on PBS. Maybe you aren't ready right now but it should happen within the next 2 years. Here is the RUclips link to the show: ruclips.net/video/sHwNH1U0mHM/видео.html

@@ridetofood sorry to be annoying, in your list you have listed a handlebar mount. I brought a cheapo and it was a bit shaky. so, I threw some coin at it and got a genuine GoPro handlebar mount.
I'm running a Dyna FLD and the genuine GP mount is worse than before. any tips on keeping a nice stable shot?
@@benaberhart1925 hmmmmm... mine vibrates but nothing to the point where im concerned, and my footage is always crispy clear. Are you running OEM bushings or polyurathane solid bushings? I run the latter. I believe these ones are what I actually use, but its been six years since I installed them: imp.i104546.net/MXRg6Y
Looks like an amazing ride!
Its my faveeee! Well....one of my favorites. it's honestly so hard to choose hahahah!
These roads would be Nice driving on a BMW 1250 GS(A). Maybe some grevel there too. The capability, driving pleasure, power is about a starship better:-) Nice pictures.
Those are great bikes!
Another for my bucket list.
🤘🏼amazing content like always!!!
Its a bucket list ride for sure! Thanks dude!
Good to know!!! Thank you :) Have you ever stopped at the pie place on 36 between Estes and Lyons? It's been on my list for a while
@@ridetofood I have not. It's been on my list too but I have been too good about eating healthy! The cherry/peach place down 34 is also on my list.
Beautiful mountains. Was it cold? You have have pretty eyes!
Thanks! Not as cold as you would think since you're at 12,000 feet in elevation!
Can this be riden in November?
looks like whoever was following you went wide in the turn in the opening curve shot. 🤫
They were doin fiiiine! :)
Indonesia watching
nice!
How long is the ride? End to end?
48 miles according to the National Park Service :)
top content )
Thanks!
What is the ride like to Aspen from Salt Lake City going to be part of my ride in July towards the end.
In July it’ll be hotter than heck in Utah but beautiful! Just depends what route you choose to take as far as the scenery is concerned! :)
@@ridetofood thank you much appreciated.
Lots coming off my bucket list
Wow, Oskar Blues prices are crazy HIGH for what I am use to. Guess I am just use to Florida prices for food.
They're a little pricey for CO as well, but the portions are pretty big, luckily.
Can this be rode in November?
Highly doubtful! It’s usually snow packed by then
I can’t wait to ride some of those roads, just beautiful.
Is there a way to find out if the pavement is clear and dry before you go or is that sort of a gamble?
Loving having some ride to food videos!
Check the motorcycling guide in the caption! I think i linked all that info in there 🙌
I have ridden Beartôoth on June 1st...25 foot snowbanķs...
I hope to ride that one on opening day one year! I bet it is just mindblowingly beautiful!
Yes it was...
Can we ride next summer? I’m in Montana
I honestly don't meet up with total strangers from the internet. I'm sure that's understandable lol
My favorite is skyline drive outside of canyon city. Took my truck once and I about shit myself it’s literally 800feet above everything around it and straight down on either side. It’s like driving through the sky no joke.
i've done it a few times on a motorcycle. that's a fun one!
@@ridetofood I hear it’s good at night as well.
Here is the RUclips link to the show:

Your not even wearing winter gear. I know your crazy ass is freezing your legs off on the bike.
AND I saw you on a certain channel (🥧🪰) on a certain bike (🍳🇺🇸)
14 more videos to go right?!?!?!
Yeah I'm on the count down😁😁
Great video.....as always....
Lol!! I love the emojis. Nope. Wasn’t cold at all actually. I wear base layers under my Jeans and had that down jacket on beneath my leathers. I was too warm actually 🤣👏
Editing my brains out, but getting through the videos as fast as I can! Hoping to have everything up before the end of January
Are you from this area in Colorado?
I have visited Colorado often over the years!
I love that road, missing God's real mountains. Living in Oregon between Mt hood and Mt Adams, but it's funny when people say mountains here, do they even know?
hope nobody picked on your bbq nose...lol
I think those are both mountains, just a little different! Thanks for watching! :)
Highway 36 to Lyons
Canada Rob - Great ride...hey, can you do a blip on your boyfriend and what he is riding?
He's on a 2003 Dyna LowRider! :)
@@ridetofood Ahhhh...a real bike ;) I run an 07 Dyna Superglide...all very cool...bookmarked your vid as a place to go...thanks!
@@robertmacdonald2735 awesome! thank you! And, great bike choice. Dynas are fun bikes!
Great channel.. love your videos. Just starting out here creating some content for the riding club. Check me out when you get some time. I could use some feedback.. Thanks!!
Thanks for watching!!
