      We are planning to go in October 12, 2025. Based on your insight, how would be the temperature like at that time?

      Around that time of year things are really changing. That's about the time that Trail Ridge Road typically closes for the year. It could be warm or icy cold and windy. Check out this video of mine on what to expect in October. ruclips.net/video/fTflxSoQJFc/видео.html

    Great video as always! 😊 We’ve visited the area before, but next month we’ll be there for the first time during the time of year when Trail Ridge Rd is open. Really looking forward to making the trip across from Grand Lake, and I’m glad to have this video for ideas on where to stop. Thanks!

      I love little Lake Irene as well. Sorry I didn't feature it. There was just no way to fit everything in there I wanted to add. Someday I may do a full hour long video on all there is to do and see along Trail Ridge Road.

    Thanks for the incredible views! Where do you stop for gas?

    • @ErikStensland
      @ErikStensland  5 месяцев назад

      There is no where in the national park to get fuel, so you'll need to fill up either in Estes Park or in Grand Lake. You'll find more options in Estes Park.

    We are planning to visit RMNP in Mid-Sep '24. This will be our first time there. Your videos have been very helpful. This one in particular helps me plan my trip over Trail Ridge Road. What is your recommendation on starting the road trip in Mid-Sep? Looking forward to stop by your store in Estes Park. Thank you!

      Glad it was helpful! Doing it in September will be very similar, just colder up high and the tundra will have begun to move into its winter phase as it awaits the arrival of the winter snows in early October.

    hey erik, what entrance did you enter in this video? also, is there an entrance that you would recommend to get into the park that doesn't have as much congestion? planning to be there 7:30- 8

    • @ErikStensland
      @ErikStensland  4 месяца назад

      Ian, use the Fall River entrance on highway 34. They have nearly finished construction and its a great way to avoid the crowds.

    • @ErikStensland
      @ErikStensland  4 месяца назад

      Ian, in this video I used the more popular "Beaver Meadows Entrance".

    Hi Erik, are there snow fields that can be accessed in RMNP? If so, how do you get to them? Thank you!

    • @ErikStensland
      @ErikStensland  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Molly, it depends on the time of year. By the end of July, the only snowfields left are high up on the peaks and are difficult to access. If you come in early June they are all over including all along Trail Ridge Road. Hope that helps.
