I want to thank you for doing these short educational videos for everyone. I refer new people to the hobby all the time. Its so much simpler to send them to these types of videos that to repeat the educational process you have already done. Thank you fine sir.
My second experience with superglue I didn’t realize the tip was clogged so I kept squeezing until it finally blasted out all over my Buce my hand and the rock I was attaching it too! Couldn’t get it off my hand for weeks 😂 you live and you learn! That’s the first thing I check now
For whatever reason, gluing epiphytes to rocks is one of my favorite planting methods in the tank. Burying roots in substrate is more frustrating, but gluing plants to rocks is peaceful.
Great stuff as always Bently. Practice and experience is obviously a big thing here. It seems so simple. But yuck! What a mess untill you learn the subtle finesse of this. 😮
Keep them coming Bently. Love the short videos on plants. I know there's more. My issue is getting my plants to stay in the substrate underwater. Im going to try to cap my Fluval strabismus with eco complete and see if it helps. But ya love all plant videos. Need more. 👍
When I had that happen it tended to be not enough substrate to bury a stem sufficiently deep to prevent it from coming out. Just some food for thought with your capping plan!
Ok thanks. I value what you say very high. Ill use it. Im setting up a new 40 breeder just waiting on more plants from Cory before i fill it up with water. I also got a new Fluval 3.0 36in light for Christmas from Cory to. So all the plant videos you can do is very appreciated.
Literally a year late with this comment but I got my first buce (ended up with a dark skeleton king!) today and this video was so helpful - hopefully I can take care of it it's a beautiful plant!
I noticed that you’re exercising much more control in your application of the super glue. Ive seen some people apply globs of glue, and was always concerned about either attaching myself to the aquascape, or killing the plant. Plus, I could see the glue globs, and that was very distracting. IMHO I much prefer your precision application method. Maybe precision isn’t the correct term, but you get what I mean. LOL
Sitting here trying to keep my fingers from sticking while typing ( no gloves) starting a new tank under gravel filter ( everyone needs to do it once) .a few crypts and Anubias gold coin on drift wood. Two questions any other plants that I should try ? New Aqua Clear on my grow out tank some people say lubricate the o ring when I split to clean impeller some not,if so what do you recommend?
I have used super glue for corals for years but I have only tried it once with plants. Every plant that I glued rotted where it was glued. I haven't used it since. Has anyone else experienced this? Cheers, Chris
Hey Bentley, I want to support your channel and would like your input...what's better for you? Patreon or Channel Membership? Thanks...loving your content, and your live stream is the best!
Both are good, but technically I get less money, but more RUclips algorithm magic through members, so I would generally say, become a member, plus you get the badges and emotes that way
Oddly, I searched for “sniffing glue” and RUclips sent me here! J/K amigo, great video! Yes, CA glues are simply a Godsend ❤️

Happened to me too!
@Sam Central Indeed it does!
Good to know! Hopefully I learned my lesson and don’t do it again
ive always used those tiny elastic bands, they last long enough for the roots to take hold then the just rot and fall off.... easy :)
Thank you Bentley and all the best for the New Year
Thanks for this tutorial! I really liked the plant profile pictures at the end.
appreciate your vids Bentley, helped me right out a wile back with the fluval light setting's
Thanks for sharing great idea 💡😊

Superglue's the way to go with epiphytes! Great video Bentley!
Great video pall! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I have learned a lot from your videos.
Yes, I often get a finger or two glued together or glued to something they shouldn't be, lol.
Happy New Year, Bently.
👍💓👍
Really, really helpful thank you!
Colorful lights and sparkles.
🤣
I hate the feeling of superglue on my fingers so I always wear gloves and sometimes use a popsicle plant to hold my plant in place.
Great stuff as always Bently. Practice and experience is obviously a big thing here. It seems so simple. But yuck! What a mess untill you learn the subtle finesse of this. 😮
Great content. I use super glue gel to seal up cuts haha
Thanks for sharing Bentley, I’ve used the super glue method as well.

Ok i was just trying to save some money. Is it ok to use eco complete or is that a bad idea?
@@kevinneibergall9420 eco complete is fine, I use it pretty often as part of my substrate

I forgot to ask you how are your yellow shrimp doing? Did they start breeding yet? That my next bucket list idem to get some shrimp. Cant wait. Lol.
I'm doing a little scaping with some buce I just ordered

Happy New Years Bentley and congratulations on your 10K subscribers coming at a video near you 💦📦💦🌱🐌🦐🐟👍🏻👏❤️✌️and 😊ness
Thank you for liking and highlighting my comment Bentley AKA Mr.Awesome
I wish the glue didnt look so bright white under water, really emphasizes any mistakes I make
Awesome! I've been trying this method out! Will to much superglue cause the rhizome to rot?
It can, a good short bead is all you need
@@BentleyPascoe Ahhhh. Pretty sure I nuked my Gold Coin just globbing it on. Thanks!
Hey Bentley do you sell plants attached to rocks or wood and how can I purchase some
I don't currently. If I get to where I can reliably sell plants, I'll make some announcement about where, how etc
there are some suggestions that we can glue even while under water, any experience in it?
I typically do my best to have things out of the tank when I glue, the glue cures VERY fast when it contacts water.
Does the Hygrophila Green Olive have a rhizome? Did you put that on a rock also?
Nope, just a stem people asked about.

I like doing a thin, solid bead. Hides better, attaches and less likely to hurt the plant
Won't the rhizome melt if you use superglue?

Java fern or Anubias nana petite. I've never lubricated them, only cleaned

Gloves are your best friend
But it dries white and looks horrid
