You are going to love it and you're definitely in the right place!! I've only had my hand with plants for a year now!! It is absolutely wonderful when you start having some success!! Enjoy! 🌿🐟🌿💚🙏
Thanks Bentley. It's always that initial period I struggle with and these are tips I could have used years ago. Now I just need to buy me some new plants...!
Didn't know about those stem plants with weights. I get some from time to time and just remove the weight and plant them. I've gotten lucky most of the time, but the method you highlighted will be my new and improved method. Thanks
Great advice on dealing with a variety of different plants, as well as how to identify submerged -vs immersed grown. It was great to see you interacting with Papalimo. He’s so cute! 😊❤️
Great advice Bentley. I have some new crypts coming this week & I’ll keep them in their pots for about 1-2 weeks in my aquarium while they get use to my water.
These methods are Papalymo approved! Depending on the type of stem, I sometimes just let them float for the first few days before resting them on the substrate.
I figured out my windelov java fern! I had root tabs and easy green and they just looked 😬 I've had them in there for 2-3 months and they just looked terrible. Cut off all the old growth about a week ago and now I have a TON of very healthy new leaves growing 🥳 thanks for the tips a week or two ago! Now how about vals? Mine are struggling... Plants are way harder than fish 🤣
Very informative video can someday u do a vid are different choices on dry fertz and the pre mixing measurement on how much on each fertz for different set ups.lighting and etc since different doses can archive different result in growth rates plus in tank sizes i think it would be interesting to learn these variables.
I’m in Arizona I don’t believe we have any clubs. I just occasionally buy a new plant and see whether I can grow it or not! So far I’ve had good success with most plants I’ve tried
Hey Bentley, I got a question about the brightwell substrate. Since it lowers your ph, if I want to raise it up, will it stay up or do I have to fight it constantly? Thank you.
I just throw everything in and see what happens. I don't like these well manicured tanks. I do like his tips though. I may make a little more effort in the future.
LOL so much love for Bentley and his tips??? Heckin yes!!!!

Lmao...I got what I think is Porto velho when I ordered s repens, and I'm annoyed about it. But I bet if I got it free unexpectedly I would be stoked.
Wish there was an aquarium club in my part of my state.
plants are fun video always good info but the corgi wins it this time :D
I really like videos like this. Thank you Bentley for your plant expertise.

If you have a more constant buffer like crushed coral it will stay up
@@BentleyPascoe I’m using seachem alkaline buffer. Will that work?
@@ChrisSmith-hi5ew yes, you just have to redose when you water change to get it back to where you want
Get a dojo loach that poops a ton!
this is probably fail so much. I usually just bring home and plant them, then watch them die for a couple weeks.
Instead of plant’s maybe I should try corgis, JK
