It has been my experience that when you lower the truck down to the floor it helps to roll the truck back and forth a few feet. This will help settle the suspension angles and tires stopping the suspension relaxing to near ride height. Think of twin I beam suspension being lifted up off the ground. The wheels will camber in at the bottom. Now lower this and the tires will keep that camber till the truck rolls. This is an extreme example of what happens with the Independent front suspension.
Please tell me you don't have the caliper hanging with the line putting stress on that line.... because you should never be letting it dangle you will break that line
People get bent out of shape about things like that, but you have to realize how strong brake hoses really are. They have to handle thousands of pounds of pressure, it's not difficult for them to handle the weight of a brake caliper for a short period of time. Granted you wouldn't want to leave it like that for extended periods of time, but it's not nearly as bad as people think it is.
Sweet! Thanks for keeping with just the simple hand tools and showing how easy this is to do. It’s going to look real nice with other end lowered.
Thanks Joe 👍
Drop spindles along with the springs will get you down more

A Mustang owner could do that!
I own a mustang and I’m doing this same kind of engine swap ( 5.7 Hemi into my 71 c10 )… hence why I’m watching these videos for reference material
