- The rigidizer needs to set for a long time before we use the forge. I just brushed it on and walked away. Hopefully it will keep me from dying from lung cancer.

Quick tip Justin, add a tiny amount of food colouring to help get even coating!
That's brilliant.
Another great video
I got the same exact product coming in the mail tomorrow! How has it held up for you??
Some people say you should also apply a layer or refractory cement?
Did you have any problem with the leftover material hardening in the original container?
Not yet. I'm sure if I left the lid open it would eventually dry out.
About to do this. Others used a spray bottle to apply. Do you think that would have been a better method or not?
I haven't been able to figure out if I need to glue the wool to the walls first with something? Could you let me know if you did please.
I think it's just wedged in there.
Hey man im just setting up to apply the exact same stuff and i am using ifb as a base layer as well just running them in the opposite direction. Anything youve learned you wished you knew 2 years ago before i proceed with this application? I have a old wood stove i filled with 2 layers on all walls of a old rectangular wood stove looks like we have the same burner set up so just curious i made my cavitie alot amaller then yours did you achieve welding temp? Thanks in advance
It still runs fine. Although, I don't have a huge number of hours on it. I have learned not to run it for a long time on a wooden bench top.
I'm making a propane forge right now. Is this stuff worth it? Does it actually work? I bought some refractory cement to coat the wool but if this is better.
It works for me.
Did it want to soak into the wool
Very much so, yes.
Fettermans body double?
The Senator? I wonder if the job is available.
