Hi there. I am 45 years old. This year I had breast cancer surgery, a subcutaneous mastectomy with reconstruction was performed. The lymph nodes were not affected, so I did not receive chemotherapy or radiation. I was put on tamoxifen for 5 years to lower the estrogen. Before tamoxifen I had 7 day long periods, heavy pms, I suffer from headaches all my life, especially in the days before my period. Also, after giving birth, I had postpartum depression for couple of months. Also, on the ultrasound, the thyroid gland has nodules, but my hormones are always within limits. I'm from Serbia, and here progesterone cream can only be obtained with a prescription from a gynecologist or endocrinologist, but since the tumor in my breast was hormonally dependent (estrogen 7, progesterone 8 I do not know what this means), no one wants to prescribe that cream.
