This is what I did yesterday to reduce water flow... There are two outlets, first one from the filter media box and the other one into the Acquarium. Install L angles to the second outlet and see to it that this water flows into another filter media box instead of into the Acquarium. This way the flow is reduced a lot and you get the benefit of added filtration. I wish I could share a video of it. Hope this helps.

Wrong way to set media filter.. For your info... sponge stays on the top to filter water & at the bottom filter media..

@@PetsmemoIf waste gets collected on bio media then beneficial bacteria wont get generated. Clean water should pass through the bio media.

Fix L-Angles and pipes to redivert flow... You can buy them from your nearest plumber shop
