Hi Jon. The volume knob seems to be in the way of the player's hand (like a fender strat). Plus, the pickup selector is pretty hidden. Isn't that a playability issue?

I love mine and always get compliments on it. It’s my go to! HOWEVER, Major warning here, LTD is horrible at keeping a consistent paint job. This looks great and looks like the photos on the site. But mine, light purple hardly any black near the bevels. Make sure you order from a place that shows you the actual guitar. I got mine straight from LTD and it did not look like this. But I still love it
These new LTD 1000 Series models are great value for money, they come with ss-frets, brand name pickups (either passive Duncans like her or active Fishman Fluence or EMG).
I agree. Not just the pups and the frets, things like locking tuners, a ton of quality bridges to choose from, and set thru neck make this series a no Brainer.
Fantastic playing Jon, as ever. I love your tone and composition. The guitar is just not just awesome looking but has an array of sounds with those tremendous Seymour Duncans. It is a bit pricey though for an average Joe.

This guitar is my favorite of all the ones you've reviewed but I started learning electric guitar almost 2.5 years ago, with a PRS SE STANDARD 24, it seems to me with medium jumbo frets. What is the difference between medium jumbo and jumbo frets? As you have a lot of experience, can you advise me if this type of fret facilitates general playability and bending?
Tried this out in the store, it was perfect. It felt so high quality very similar to Music Man Majesty, or other models with 5 times the price of this. Really dig this, and some light weight EC-1000's I have tried one, and it was very light weight. Amazing guitars.
Hey Jon .. Great jazzy and shredding intro. I know you don’t play by the ‘book’ jazz, but that certainly doesn’t hinder you from sounding like you do. That’s a nice guitar with an attractive set of appointments. Not least being the stainless steel frets. The price is inline with the features, so it’s a good deal overall. Thank you for the always inspiring guitar playing, and informative reviews!
I've tried this guitar out and found that this extra thin U neck was too thin for my big hands. I've seen you've played other esp guitars with normal thin U necks. How much bigger do you find thin U vs extra thin U? (I don't have the possibility to go to a store to try one out in the near future)

After I got the green GRECO, I began to like other, especially unusual colors. On this LTD, I would have missed only one thing, this is floyd rose, the rest is just a fairy tale. I think a fixed bridge is much better if you perform solos on the stage. This guitar is perfect. There is also MH 1000 series, but they have the Floyd Rose Special (a bad type of tremolo with fast wearing down problems.)
I ordered an EC-1000QM Purple Burst in April from Sweetwater and still waiting for it. Not Sweetwater’s fault but frustrating that the factory isn’t getting production models out sooner. I’m about to move out of state and debating whether to just cancel the order.
Not a big fan of the Pegasus Bridge for cleans, but the sentient cleans up pretty well for a high output passive alnico 5 magnet. I enjoyed your choice of songs. Shows the cleans pretty 👍 good. But I would change them out for Tosin Abasi Fishman Fluence! The guitar is good quality! No mud even at high output, yet the cleans are brilliant with 3 voicings to chose from. 👌 Have you demoed the Fishman Fluence Tosin Abasi pickups yet on a guitar?

It’s basically a bit fatter than the medium jumbo.. it helps in ease of playing and string bending.✌️❤️
