Grim realities of India’s unsung spies in Pakistan are far from the reel-life fiction of Black Tiger

  • In the movies, R&AW spies end up in Geneva and Paris, and are only locked away with Katrina Kaif. But the real stories of R&AW’s deep-cover agents in Pakistan were full of flies, heat dust and danger-and their sacrifices have mostly gone unrecognised.

Families of Indian spies across the globe must be protected and taken care in all aspects. A stronger nation needs a well trained spie network. India salute RAW personals and support teams working secretly to protect our motherland without been openly recognised for their immense contributions to our nation. Take Care.

Thank you for covering this sad reality of the lives and careers of Indian Spies. Please do cover more on this topic, so people can be grateful to these unknown & unsung heroes.
Being disowned by bureaucrats is bad enough, but seeing that powerful NSAs are seemingly not doing enough is rather distressing.
We know that not much can be revealed by the government to the public. However it would be good if the government can show us how they honour these heroes who should be treated at par with soldiers. 🙏

Ravinder Kaushik was renamed as “Akbar” and made into a member of another community in Romeo Akbar Walter… One of many examples of how Bollywood makes Heroes from the majority faith into minorities and villains from minority communities into members of my faith (Sherni has both)… Unfortunately, this plays into the hands of those that boycott Bollywood movies as there is no logical reason other than propaganda

    • @mrgyani
      @mrgyani Год назад +2

      You are wrong :
      1. Akbar isn't a real life portrayal of Ravinder Kaushik, the only similarity is that he was a spy who went to pakistan. The story itself is loosely inspired by true events.
      2. This very video lists Indian Ms who went to jail in Pakistan, and sacrificed their lives for India (inayat masih) who was caught while trying to bring Kaushik back.
What's the point of your comment? That only majority community do it, while minorities often villains?
      3. Raazi is apparently a true story of an Indian M spy, according to Harinder Sikka. Very similar to Ravinder Kaushik's story.
      4. There have been other movies like eek Tha tiger, also loosely based on Kaushik.
And there have been countless movies where members of minority community are portrayed as terrorists and negatively stereotyped.

This is extremely unfortunate that their services are not recognized. Atleast our government should make list of all those great spies and help their families atleast anonymously. Their sacrifice should atleast support their family. They remain happy in heaven with peace. Soldiers welfare fund like Scheme can be initiated to help them, like national security service (NSS) scheme for helping spies, which would generate funds from public and yearly 200 from all employees of government and private sector drawing more than 50k per month, also 1 to 2 lakhs from companies or private industries making profit more than 10 crore annually.

People who work espionage take on some of the dangerous tasks for their country and regarding recognition for their work, if they get that then the whole purpose of their job is finished. Majority have accepted this mentality when they decide to dedicate their lives in this line of work, unfortunately ordinary civilians can find it hard to understand.

These unsung heroes need to be recognised and given their due respect by the nation, anonymously as its not possible to always give out their names .
The families of those who died and those who are still in pakistani jails need to be taken care of by the government with their full salarys paid to their families till their normal retirement ages. The government can do this without openly acknowledging them as government agents as undercover agents might need to be still denied. Thats how international espionage works.
And there needs to be a memorial in RAW Headquarters dedicated to the unknown spy. The CIA has a similar one in their base with a star representing each agent lost in action.

The USA's CIA had a heavy involvement in South and Central America in the 1970's and 1980's. Apparently many of those agents came from post-Castro and post-communist Cuba when Fidel Castro claimed he was running organized crime out of Cuba. As the story of the former USSR and now Russia has taught us just because a country has chosen communism as its form of government doesn't mean that they have succeeded in running organized crime out of the country although you would think it helps. On the contrary, the USSR with its massive natural resources - to include gold mines and gold reserves - and its poorly trained police forces proved to be a good place for organized crime to take hold and flourish. As you said: the spy business may seem glamorous but you do have to question the motives of those who choose this profession but if their intentions are for good and they have a comprehensive understanding of human nature and good and evil they should be rewarded for their services to their country.
