Its has its own flag, assembly, president & prime minister. It has its revenue generation mechanism and revenue board. That is the reason for its development. I was working in a company in Karachi in finance department and whatever we did business there, we have to pay all income & sales taxes to the AJK treasury.

Before Kargil war, there was no patrolling or precautions in the Keran sector upto interior Neelam valley upto Uri. Indian army was monitoring only insurgents in this sector. After Kargil war Indian army acquired powerful radars and night vision cameras as well as advanced weapons to deal with insurgents. There were 3000 Kashmiri Pandits resident in Keran valley-present Sharda district prior to 1947; mainly because of Sharda Peeth Mandir. Majority were killed or converted, some managed to escape to Kupwara. One of our KP neighbour who was in the area was forced to convert to Islam in 1947. He resurfaced in Srinagar in 1971 after the war when he managed to escape from the Jihadi Muslims.

Most of Kashmiris are found in Kashmir Valley, Pir Panjal Plains, Kishtwar and few colonies in Kargil and Gilgit Baltistan. There are only few Kashmiris in so called pok residing in a remote neelum valley There is many difference in Pahari and Kashmiris. 1) Pahari culture is influenced by Panjabi and Dogra's 2) Pahar language is actually considered a dialect of Punjabi 3) On the other hand, Kashmiri culture is indigenous and influenced by many civilisations like Indus valley, Iran, Turkistan, Tibet, Afghan and Xinjiang. 4) Kashmiri Language is Dardic and is more close to languages like Shina, Balti, Kowhari, Kalashi of Gilgit Baltistan and kargil 5) Pahari People are also genetically a bit different from Kashmiri people. The people are not allowed by Indian and Pakistani officials to intermingle. Karen village is surrounded by dense forests. By rules you can't make buildings near LoC. Pakistan has violated the rules.

Yes till Shardha roads are well developed and smooth made according to international level. So many resorts and hotels have been made. I visited Azad Kashmir in June 2022. From Karachi, Pakistan.
Infact what i heard from my friends n family around that area in Neelam valley is that the Pakistani govt is actually exploiting the natural resources in PoK thats why the roads there n the general public in PoK do not get jobs so they have resorted to tourism where as in India the govt doesn’t want to meddle with the nature which is the heart n soul of Kashmir and also do not risk the local population n others near the border areas since Pakistani Army cannot be trusted with ceasefire violations. The Pakistanis trust the integrity of Indian Army that is why they can dare to have their tourism activities do close to the border 😊

absolutely brilliant... this is a very special vlog... The resort you see across the river is the PTDC (Pakistan tourism development corporation) resort. A few years ago, I was staying there, and I remember looking at these buildings on the Indian side and wondering why they were empty. It is so surreal to now see them from so close. Thank you DG bhai! Some info, the road from Keran goes on to a place called Kel and from there to Taobat, which is the last village on the Pakistani side. All along this road you can see the Indian side, though most of the Indian side is mountainous terrain without villages. From Kel also, another road enters a beautiful valley called Shaunter. Beyond the mountains of Shaunter is the Gilgit area, which is bounded by some of the highest mountains in the world, including the famous Nanga Parbat.
I have seen photos of some photographers from your country posting on Instagram and they exhibit pictures of a part of heaven each time they post scenic beauties of gilgit baltistan. I am in awe of that place. With both these sides of Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunwah collectively they are the most beautiful piece of land on Earth. Pakistan trained army+terrorists keep firing from PoK on Indian Kashmir people. So there was no big development here in Indian Keran & LoC. Even the previous Kashmir governments which were hand in glove to Pakistan and also kept swindling funds from Indian government did not do any development in Kashmir when Kashmir had article 370. It was only after removal of 370 article by current Modi government, Modi was able to start development in Kashmir.
The developments & infrastructre on the side of kashmir is done by the AJK government and hotels & resorts are owned by the kashmiris living there. The massive development just accross the river shows that they are bold and brave people and are ready to face God forbid any adverse eventuality. I visited this place in 2022 on 14th Aug. I wanted to witness their Independence Day celebration. I took a solo scooty ride from Srinagar, halted in Kralpora for a night and next morning it was Keran. There were 7 checkpoints between Kralpora and Keran… The army people took really good care of me throughout, they were surprised to see me going alone on scooty… so they kept informing the next check point before hand. Roads are really not good, I was worried about the scooty rest I was never scared. People there were very friendly, I met few old aunties and they invited me for lunch and asked me Humara mulq kesa laga…. I never wanted to get into any discussion or argument I just replied Sab ek hi hai na Khala… she smiled and blessed me… 😊… at the border, feeling was really different… that time camping group was different I believe… but rest of the things were same… I hope the roads get better… rest that place has good environment because of no hotels, it is better they continue with the camp sites.

The Indian side has risk of terrorism from Pakistan while Pakistan doesn't have any such kind of risk from India. Thus, Pakistan can develop the side they annexed freely while India has to first take care of security measures and then maybe India can look at development from a tourism standpoint.
I have been on the other side of the river...Neelam river and there is a guest house where v stayed. Just a throw away from the other side.I literally stood so close and could see people like you but most of the houses were empty...there were mosques too made of wood.Past Keran valley Aarang Kel and Tao Batt is truly heaven in Earth. Till Keran and Aarabg kel Road is better but after that jeepable. However in the rainy season lots of landslides block the roads for hours. There were 3000 Kashmiri Pandits resident in Keran valley-present Sharda district prior to 1947; mainly because of Sharda Peeth Mandir. Majority were killed or converted, some managed to escape to Kupwara. One of our KP neighbour who was in the area was forced to convert to Islam in 1947. He resurfaced in Srinagar in 1971 after the war when he managed to escape from the Jihadi Muslims.

@@ShahJee101 first of All there is no pok. The kashmir occupied by pak is actually inhabitant by Pahari-pothwari people not Kashmiris. Most of Kashmiris are found in Kashmir Valley, Pir Panjal Plains, Kishtwar and few colonies in Kargil and Gilgit Baltistan. There are only few Kashmiris in so called pok residing in a remote neelum valley
There is many difference in Pahari and Kashmiris.
1) Pahari culture is influenced by Panjabi and Dogra's
2) Pahar language is actually considered a dialect of Punjabi
3) On the other hand, Kashmiri culture is indigenous and influenced by many civilisations like Indus valley, Iran, Turkistan, Tibet, Afghan and Xinjiang.
4) Kashmiri Language is Dardic and is more close to languages like Shina, Balti, Kowhari, Kalashi of Gilgit Baltistan and kargil
5) Pahari People are also genetically a bit different from Kashmiri people.
So we should call pok/ajk as Western Pahari area/ or Muzaffarabad county.
Secondly The most of the real Kashmir is under India, only Neelum valley is with Pakistan...

Yes till Shardha roads are well developed and smooth made according to international level. So many resorts and hotels have been made. I visited Azad Kashmir in June 2022. From Karachi, Pakistan.

Infact what i heard from my friends n family around that area in Neelam valley is that the Pakistani govt is actually exploiting the natural resources in PoK thats why the roads there n the general public in PoK do not get jobs so they have resorted to tourism where as in India the govt doesn’t want to meddle with the nature which is the heart n soul of Kashmir and also do not risk the local population n others near the border areas since Pakistani Army cannot be trusted with ceasefire violations. The Pakistanis trust the integrity of Indian Army that is why they can dare to have their tourism activities do close to the border 😊

absolutely brilliant... this is a very special vlog... The resort you see across the river is the PTDC (Pakistan tourism development corporation) resort. A few years ago, I was staying there, and I remember looking at these buildings on the Indian side and wondering why they were empty. It is so surreal to now see them from so close. Thank you DG bhai!
Some info, the road from Keran goes on to a place called Kel and from there to Taobat, which is the last village on the Pakistani side. All along this road you can see the Indian side, though most of the Indian side is mountainous terrain without villages. From Kel also, another road enters a beautiful valley called Shaunter. Beyond the mountains of Shaunter is the Gilgit area, which is bounded by some of the highest mountains in the world, including the famous Nanga Parbat.
I have seen photos of some photographers from your country posting on Instagram and they exhibit pictures of a part of heaven each time they post scenic beauties of gilgit baltistan. I am in awe of that place. With both these sides of Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunwah collectively they are the most beautiful piece of land on Earth. Pakistan trained army+terrorists keep firing from PoK on Indian Kashmir people. So there was no big development here in Indian Keran & LoC. Even the previous Kashmir governments which were hand in glove to Pakistan and also kept swindling funds from Indian government did not do any development in Kashmir when Kashmir had article 370. It was only after removal of 370 article by current Modi government, Modi was able to start development in Kashmir.

The developments & infrastructre on the side of kashmir is done by the AJK government and hotels & resorts are owned by the kashmiris living there. The massive development just accross the river shows that they are bold and brave people and are ready to face God forbid any adverse eventuality.
Why you continue to call POK and object when some one call the other side as IOK. Actually POK term is only used in India. To us it is AJK (azaad jammu kashmir). AJK is a separate autonomous territory. Its has its own flag, assembly, president & prime minister. Although security is provided by Pakistan. It has its revenue generation mechanism and revenue board. That is the reason for its development. I worked in a company in finance department and whatever our company did business there, we have to pay all income & sales taxes to the AJK treasury.
Instead of hating each other, we should respect each other's freedom and thus peace will prevail.

I visited this place in 2022 on 14th Aug. I wanted to witness their Independence Day celebration. I took a solo scooty ride from Srinagar, halted in Kralpora for a night and next morning it was Keran. There were 7 checkpoints between Kralpora and Keran… The army people took really good care of me throughout, they were surprised to see me going alone on scooty… so they kept informing the next check point before hand. Roads are really not good, I was worried about the scooty rest I was never scared. People there were very friendly, I met few old aunties and they invited me for lunch and asked me Humara mulq kesa laga…. I never wanted to get into any discussion or argument I just replied Sab ek hi hai na Khala… she smiled and blessed me… 😊… at the border, feeling was really different… that time camping group was different I believe… but rest of the things were same… I hope the roads get better… rest that place has good environment because of no hotels, it is better they continue with the camp sites.

The Indian side has risk of terrorism from Pakistan while Pakistan doesn't have any such kind of risk from India. Thus, Pakistan can develop the side they annexed freely while India has to first take care of security measures and then maybe India can look at development from a tourism standpoint.

I have been on the other side of the river...Neelam river and there is a guest house where v stayed.
Just a throw away from the other side.I literally stood so close and could see people like you but most of the houses were empty...there were mosques too made of wood.Past Keran valley Aarang Kel and Tao Batt is truly heaven in Earth.
Till Keran and Aarabg kel Road is better but after that jeepable.
However in the rainy season lots of landslides block the roads for hours.
