I love it. Huey was a low key psychopath and liar, while his son became part of the dynamic duo that basically fullfilled the boss's will of unification. Great kojima
I'm not so sure. Venom cared a bit about Eli, but the same can't be said for Big Boss. He didn't give a shit about Eli or the his other two kids. He knew Eli was his son, but couldn't care less. That to me shows that they are not TOTALLY the same
When I first watched this scene, I wanted Huey dead just as much as Kaz. But Venom Snake's choice hurts Huey so much more. Huey tried hard to hide behind his lies and run from his mistakes by trying to be a part of the family that was Diamond Dogs. But Snake here calls him what he is, the enemy, and they don't judge enemies. Leaving Huey alone, and alive to force him into confronting his demons eventually. If they had killed Huey here, his misery would have ended, and Kaz would still be angry at him.
I spent the whole game wondering where Strangelove went. When this scene played, and I learned Huey killed my favorite MGS character, I was pretty much Kaz.
As much as my heart is completely at ease with revenge killing Hewey, I know Venom is right. They fight the enemy, they kill the enemy, and for that very reason they must never be the one’s to judge the enemy.
That’s honestly something that confuses me. If they kill the enemy but not judge the enemy, why not kill Huey? I know for timeline reasons he had to survive. But In-game universe, why didn’t Snake just kill him?
Would that be the best conclusion for Huey? In my opinion it probably isn't because venom snake knew exactly how delusional Huey is to the point that he sank into his lies and fully believed in them if you've ever noticed venom was never mad at any of his enemies, never at liquid, skullface and Huey. He never tried talking and understanding skullface when I the car ride because he would be judging him without knowing his reasons and only killed him because he had to. Huey wasn't as big of a threat and venom knew he was very much a coward and so with that, putting him in mother nature's hands in danger with no one to help him he is forcing him to confront himself and become fully convinced with himself and for kaz, sending Huey whom he hated so much into the sea like that very much satisfied him because he knows Huey is facing something even worse than diamond dogs, nature itself.
Cizma77 yeah. I’m damn sure venom snake loves his own men more than Big Boss did, Big Boss didn’t even tell Kaz, who was his closest friend about his plans. I don’t think the real Big Boss was a good man anymore after the fall of msf. Venom snake was arguably the still a good person throughout the game, you can tell by how much he spares people who have done him wrong. And I think that’s a leftover part of his personality as a medic. He wants to help people, not kill them.
I agree. To solidify that even Big Boss acknowledges their differences: "...And thanks to you I've left my mark. You have too. You've written your own history. You're your own man."
Cizma77 I just wish we saw what Big Boss was doing, this game needed at least one or two more acts. It was supposed to show how Big Boss descended into madness and became the villian he was in the very first metal gear on the nes. But not only was the Big Boss we played as not the real one, but he didn’t even turn evil. Both venom snake and Big Boss turn evil at some point before the 90’s and we never see that. That’s my biggest disappointment with this game. It was never finished.
5:58 Oh how right Ocelot was Having your wife cheat on you with your son and then killing yourself is not a good way to go. Ironically it would have been so much more merciful killing him right then and there knowing how his story will end
I love how Huey looks in this game, especially in the scene when the AI pod is playing the recording. He looks like he’s trying so hard to ignore it. He’s a bit of a psychopath if you think about it...
I have seen people questioning Venom's line and choosing to simply kick him out of DD. But it fits Venom's character progression, getting to the realization that revenge only consumes with no resolution (yes there is a character a progression, believe it or no), but more importantly that "trial", wasn't about justice or punishiment, it was moved by the same self righteousness Huey had, it was another desperate atempt to get revenge from whoever did them wrong, killing Huey would set a precedent that could turn DD in to a bunch of self righteous psychos
Kaz was so desperately looking for a target to take his pain and anger out on. Skull Face, XOF, Huey. It didn’t matter. The problem with a mindset like that is that it’s never enough. Taking your revenge will never give back what you’ve already lost
You know waht i wold have done ? I wold have Order EVREYONE on mohter Base to Take one of the lmg with 200 rounds and them all fier at him untill the belts were empty to See the fear in His eyes before he dies oooh IT wold have bin justis
Mr. Perfect cell nope, he attempted to restart a normal life with Hal, his son with strangelove, by having a new wife and a daughter but ultimately found out that his wife is banging Hal. Leading to his suicide and attempted murder of their daughter by drowning from their own backyard pool. What goes around comes around.
Man the amount of hypocrisy in this scene is fucking astounding. "See through the lies he's built?" Really Ocelot? You the triple backstabbing spy? Hell, he evens backstabs Venom at the end of it all without a care in the world. And Venom. "Not responsible to judge an enemy?" So that whole deal with Skullface was just for...? Talk about incoherence in character.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, listen to Chico's 6th cassette: Skull Face: "Thanks to your report, a nuclear inspection team's being sent to their mother base, the scientist was our way in" Also, i made a screenshot prntscr.com/idctm6 regarding IAEA about the inspections from metal gear wikia metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/United_Nations with ulterior proof that Huey was a traitor ^_^ just saying
This games story is all fucked up... this game took place before MGS 4 Guns of the Patriots and in this game, Huey has been paralyzed from the waist down but in the future story Huey is walking.
I'm just surprised that Ocelots bullet didn't ricochet and kill anyone
lol get out of my mind xD
Get out of my mind, Liquid!
Bullets don't ricochet unless at very shallow angles, they fragment. Just another aspect of the insane realism of the game.
I love kaz's voice actor! He's really good acting like he is angry.
He also knows how to do a good mad doctor impression
I think he gave the best performance in the game.
Robin's really fucking great, his role as Travis Touchdown was fucking aces too since he can go full HAM as that character.
DD is that you?
I love it. Huey was a low key psychopath and liar, while his son became part of the dynamic duo that basically fullfilled the boss's will of unification. Great kojima
THIS IS THE ENEMY, AND HE'S HERE ON HIS KNEES!!! I eagerly await the day when I will have an opportunity to use that quote.

I use metal gear quotes regularly. The most common one is damn the patriots.
Same
Law and Order: Mother Base edition
DUN DUN.
SolidShibe's lost brother Law and Order: Tactical Espionage Action and Private Infiltration Team
Kazuhira Miller: Ace Attorney
At least hal was able to do better stuff in his families legacy
like his stepmother
Felix Walton Goddamnit
Felix Walton lol well said
So huey went Neon genesis evangelion on Hal?
"Get in the fucking robot, Hal"
D.Va's Butt LMAO
Lol this is so true xDDDD
Suicide, eh? She did it herself, eh?
"HUEY OPEN THIS DOOR! "
Hmmmmmmmm.
Cizma77 lol!!!
“Am I the only sane one here?”
Me: Maybe, it’s basically a cult you know...
-Get CQCed
-Thanks for that boss!
“We live and die by your orders, Boss!”
This shows that Venom Snake has a heart after all, pretty sure Big Boss would've shot him right there.
Pequod Wouldn't really make sense, since Venom has the mindset of Big Boss, I think BB would have done the same thing.
I'm not so sure. Venom cared a bit about Eli, but the same can't be said for Big Boss. He didn't give a shit about Eli or the his other two kids. He knew Eli was his son, but couldn't care less. That to me shows that they are not TOTALLY the same
Girt Troll the whole point of the story was that the brainwashing was flawed and that bits of his old persona were emerging throughout the game
For those scrolling by, the person before me meant "his old persona" I believe.
L7vanmatre i did. I dont use auto correct on my phone so my thumbs cause me to fuck up all the time

there is a theory that says he didnt kill strangelove and didnt nothing wrong, but its just a theory
@@Deathnitivo there's a theory that venom snake and kaz had gay sex, but that's just a theory
The only dislike, high chance of it being Huey.
And now he has idiots nodding to everything he says
Dat cinematography though...
For all the crap this game gets it had some incredible acting, soundtrack and just the beautiful moments in the game
GUILTY! All counts.
I spent the whole game wondering where Strangelove went. When this scene played, and I learned Huey killed my favorite MGS character, I was pretty much Kaz.
All diamond dogs will follow the MEDIC (snakes phantom)
So weird seeing this scene without mods and model swaps...

4:18 S H O O K
Best quote in any game, ever. “We are not responsible to judge an enemy.” Makes so many things makes sense.
I wonder if the real Big Boss would have killed him.
R. Walker He's but a phantom. They'd act differently, I'm sure of it.
Cizma77 yeah. I’m damn sure venom snake loves his own men more than Big Boss did, Big Boss didn’t even tell Kaz, who was his closest friend about his plans. Cizma77 They made him be like a mental copy of Big Boss, BB even said they are both BB
Brilliant scene where Hideo Kojima just let slip his thought about the Nuremberg fake trial through this.
I like how Big Boss is all chill n shit , while Kaz just yells in his face😂
that's what a good old Phantom Cigar can do for you :)
5:58 Oh how right Ocelot was
Having your wife cheat on you with your son and then killing yourself is not a good way to go. Ironically it would have been so much more merciful killing him right then and there knowing how his story will end
4:00 - 4:05 is the best bit here imo ;)
I fucking love Kazuhira's Kangaroo court
"I havn't killed anyone!" Bitch please SkullFace didn't die from SkullDie did he?!
T H I C C Boss
The Phantom Thighs
Fishmael so how do we get that armor again? I forgot
The story we've lost. It won't stop hurting...
ocelot coulda killed everyone with the ricochet of his bullet
I love how Huey looks in this game, especially in the scene when the AI pod is playing the recording. He looks like he’s trying so hard to ignore it. He’s a bit of a psychopath if you think about it...

Every line is hilarious
3:25 - Just give the order. From your iDroid
Big Boss lookin thicc.
I knew Huey was a lying bastard but I couldn't fucking believe he did this.
Kaz was so desperately looking for a target to take his pain and anger out on. Skull Face, XOF, Huey. It didn’t matter. The problem with a mindset like that is that it’s never enough. Taking your revenge will never give back what you’ve already lost
What if he bump in to a support beam ?
Huey should have died there, he killed strangelove and tried to suicide and kill E.E at the same time
Sergio Sarmiento yeah but don’t worry about Emma, after all Raiden has her and they’ve managed to avoid drowning!
2:31
seriously why did nobody mentioned "That's why the called him Saladin!" I mean honestly after watching this scene?!?
Damn it, just kiss already.
Is Huey/Hal the Alter Ego of Kojima (The abandon one/underdog)?
4:50 I would have been like “yeah never mind shoot him. Not like I’m letting you live or anything “.
You know waht i wold have done ? I wold have Order EVREYONE on mohter Base to Take one of the lmg with 200 rounds and them all fier at him untill the belts
were empty to See the fear in His eyes before he dies oooh IT wold have bin justis
Pizza time
Dose he ever come back?

You dont have to shoot him
Huey was the real hero of MGSV
Get out
Guilty
All counts
Huey did nothing wrong. #FreeMyBoiHuey

just saying
Roberto Racz he's just kidding oMG
the title actually have a little meaning " How Konami betray kojima "
This games story is all fucked up... this game took place before MGS 4 Guns of the Patriots and in this game, Huey has been paralyzed from the waist down but in the future story Huey is walking.
thats otacon dumbass
Lmao Marco you dumb piece of shit
That is Hal's a.k.a Otacon's father. This takes place before the original Metal Gear Solid.
You're kidding, right?
