  • In this video I'll be removing the hood of my Saturn Sky which is the same procedure on the Pontiac Solstice. I need to remove the hood to make it easier to work on taking out the charge pipes as well as coming up with a solution to put the OEM air deflector back in.

Hey Mike! Glad to see another Sky video. I think you could trim the OE piece and make it look like it belongs. Air saw would work good. Bosch makes a plastic blade for a jigsaw that is used for acrylic but would probably work with that ABS? plastic you have there also. I would be really good to deflect the air into the radiator. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Mike I have a 2007 Saturn Sky also and I am getting ready to start a channel under epic aspect . I have the 2.4 l also and I was wondering if you thought it was worth putting on your turbo I haven't heard much about it. One difference between yours and mine is that mine is an automatic. I was wondering if the turbo might do even better on the automatic. Please write me back.

Hey there. I love that I added the turbo to my 2.4L Sky. I had it dynoed before and after and I basically picked up an extra 100 WHP (guessing 115 to the crank). The difference is night and day. It pulls with ease even in the higher gears. I can be in 5th, give it a little bit of gas and next thing I know is I'm past 100. It's definitely worth it if you already have a 2.4 and don't want to sell it to buy a 2.0.
As for automatic vs manual. I'm thinking that the auto would be faster off the line (at least against me since I suck at launching and shifting fast). But if you're up against someone who can really shift well, it may be a draw or at least very close.
I do autocross racing and I've had others drive my Sky. Every person that does was amazed how much it pulls when boosted and everyone added how much fun it was to drive. And these are the top drivers in our club.
So if you can afford it, I'd say go for it.

Have you ever had the service airbag light come on? If so what did you do about it?

Hi Gunny. No I haven't had the service light come on in my Sky, however I used to have it come on in my old Kia Sorento and it was because I had a bad clock spring in the steering wheel. You may want to look into that.

Someone tried to pry the open on my 07 Saturn sky. What are they after?
