@@Willstopher6well, technically, we don’t know if that’s the case in the X-Men 97 universe. If they open that can a worms there’s a lot more that will follow, haha.
THIS, this right here, would have been a beautiful ending for the X-man story. Genosha, alive and well. Magneto tempered. Mutants united under a common flag. Sadly, it isn't the end, and we have to watch paradise burn, and it hurts all the more for it.
If you disregard all logci and reason. 1. A nation of mutants can only stay united like all nations through the things its citizens have in common, which are super powers and victimhood. What do you think would happen next? 2. I doubt any sane faction would allow a nation of literaly walking talking weapons of mass or total destruction to exist. In short if Bastion did not destroy it someone else would have, for better or for worse.
“A dream worth dying for” and the ice in the glass breaks, yeah this show is Emmy winner. Foreshadowing. Thats why even a “filler episode” is important later
I really liked the nods to Krakoa. The cameos and how the whole nation worked with the Council and a Gala of sorts. This revival really takes after a whole amount of comics that came after the original show.
0:16 i dont know why but the fact that Magneto rightfully calls them his X-Men at that moment... I dont know how to feel about it except that it gives me chills
Emma frost is definitely them opening up the idea of a secondary mutation because in the comics she's the one who saves everyone really with her new diamond form
I got the feeling that the Magneto/Rogue affair AND Magneto not immediately wanting to wipe out the Hellfire Club in this scene is supposed to be a middle finger to the plot lines of the movies.
I quite liked the retcon in House/Powers of X, but the way she was handled at the end of Inferno and especially in X Deaths of Wolverine was a complete atrocity. Krakoa died when Moira was turned villian.
What saddens me most about Magneto as leader of the X-Men is that Xavier (and later his mutant comrades) put an enormous responsibility on his shoulders at the worst moment. The same week that Xavier left him the chair, the X-Men's enemies began to attack them from all sides, how was a hothead like Erik going to face such a situation without losing his cool? He himself expressed that he did not want the position since he did not have the temperament nor did he enjoy the public's trust to govern Genosha and lead the X-Men at the same time. Emma Frost would have been a better choice, since she had the manners and diplomatic skills that the gruff Erik lacked. They put all the eggs in one basket, so why were they surprised when it fell to the ground and broke?
Magneto had the right idea to have Rogue as Queen since as a woman she naturally has more compassion. Magneto and Rogue would've been excellent leaders of Genosha if not for the Sentinels surprise attack.

Magneto just speaks in bars. He always sounds so otherworldly and Shakespearian.
In the middle of a karaoke night, he’d walk on stage, read Edgar Allen Poe, and get a standing ovation.
"who charitable idea was it to allow a human on the council?" damn, emma
she was a diversity hire I guess 🤣

@@CesarDragulaneweraforanewdream X-Men can't have a happy ending. Hate and prejudice always find a way to inflict misery on those that are different
I'm starting to wonder is humanity is even worth saving.
Them: The worst thing he can say is no.
Magneto: You eclectic alloment of social climbers
Kinda shitting on his idea that humans are the only ones who snobbish and bigoted and most importantly, greedy

You guys don't know what filler are
Emma Frost.
Based
The one and only
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Emma. She’s so iconic. We better get more of her in season 2
This gave me Quiet Council of Krakoa vibes
It's supposed to be Krokoa.
@@ghostrouxinol6169 no? It's Genosha
@@Mauricio0973 the homage is Krokoa.
I though that is krakatoa
This scene really feels like I was reading X-Men Krakoa especially with Moira
But in this version, she’s not a mutant just a human
I really liked the nods to Krakoa. The cameos and how the whole nation worked with the Council and a Gala of sorts. This revival really takes after a whole amount of comics that came after the original show.
Man, what they did to Moira in the recent comics just invalidates her character and like existence as a whole to me. I was furious lol.
Krakoa was an insane mutant supremacist Jonestown. Don’t sully Genosha with the comparison
If they kept her as a Mutants she would had been back to life after the massacre
Hate to be that guy, but its spelt Máire, its Irish for Mary
Glad they stayed true to her appearance/outfit and personality.
It’s so heartbreaking knowing Magnus really tried to walk Charles’s dream.
@@29jemo He stopped trying after Episode 2. He was actually doing it. He was actually smiling, something he's never done.
Magneto: This concerns me & My X-MEN How? I Love it.
Im glad that the producers remember that Moira and Banshee is Scottish

The future Mrs Emma Frost Stark
Not a canon relationship
@ bruh. By that do you mean her alias was married or that it isn’t going to happen in 97
@@grimshock6983 it's definitely happening in 97 and it's not canon and never will be

I need season 2 to be like 26 episodes and Emma to be a regular, throwing more shade than Krakoa
I would never trust Shaw or Emma Frost.
Yup I’m the same way I remember her from Xmen anime and Wolverine and Xmen Emma Frost still an Enemy

@@glinkrecords not sure about that
@xervantezxvi5022 maybe maybe not but that was their reason for having her there in the comics
Especially when your name is Jean.. I wouldn’t trust Emma around Cykes…
I just need Emma shading full time in season 2
Glad they committed to my costume style from The Uncanny X-men. None of that 2-piece crop pants and crop top garbage.
So are Emma frost and Sebastian Shaw dead? Cause that would be a total waste. Hellfire club coming back would be great.
Emma survives the Genoshan massacre in the comics by developing her diamond skin secondary mutation
The voice work is on point, with the exception of Moira…
well at least they attempted to keep her Scottish that said the original was better
Moira and Emma Frost have the same voice actress 😭
I loved Moira's unique accent a lot.
I got the feeling that the Magneto/Rogue affair AND Magneto not immediately wanting to wipe out the Hellfire Club in this scene is supposed to be a middle finger to the plot lines of the movies.
May him, R I P,, to magneto,, I gonna miss him,, my darling Waifu In marvel universe,, Emma frost,, ❣️💕
Emma and Sebastian are friends again?
It is continuation of the '92 show after all
They looked like they were something more than "just friends".
I think Emma always hated him but she's good at chess
I prefer human moria.........over moria x did not like that retcon while it was interesting it ruined her character imo
I agree. That retcon was so stupid.
I quite liked the retcon in House/Powers of X, but the way she was handled at the end of Inferno and especially in X Deaths of Wolverine was a complete atrocity. Krakoa died when Moira was turned villian.
I mean, she's dead now so it doesn't really matter anymore
Her voice is so good! Better than Kari Wahlgren(Wolverine and the X Men)
Cap
EMMA!
It would be crazy if X-Men 97 ended with the start of The Krakoan Era
The X-Men used to fought The Inner Circle during The Phoenix business.
I can’t for the love triangle: Emma, Scott, Jean
Hope they do House of M in the future.
No humans allowed in Genosha because of their bigotry and crimes against mutants in the past.
Plus Emma she is Charles wife

@TheWarmachine375 Moira being a mutant is recent retcon.
