This is actually a good review, better info that from journalists. Just waiting for mine same 240 se, but added elec steering, air suspension, sliding glass roof nd 360 camera...too expensive. Wanted cooled seats but..
How's the reliability
Possibly nav designed to take route which avoids narrow roads that may damage alloys or scratch the paint.
Or takes the road that shows up the car bling ;)

6 month report, car still new. Now, provide a three year report, with mileages and how it has been running, etc! Now, that's worth a report.

Interested in this video, but had to give it away as you ramble on and it was too hard to concentrate with your camera movement too.
I have the First Edition here in Australia and it is unsafe to drive with over 44 major faults and the Dealer won’t do anything about it, nor any other Dealer due to the high levels of faults and even Land Rover Australia won’t return calls. $184,000 to drive the biggest moving junk available.
Sounds odd..Have they actually said what faults? Sounds like a bad computer with software problems!! Maybe you had the model before English launch..I have heard of Mercedes and other market grabbing German models!! If its under warranty should not be a problem. Did you buy it new?
Should have bought a $45k Honda CRV and saved the rest of the money
It must be a press launch model..I spoke to somebody who hates his Mercedes due to so many faults and fake leather they claim to be genuine. Some say give it 6 months after a new car is launched and to be fair, this is a new market (model) for LR. Honda are ok but not a luxury vehicle!

The gesture tailgate sensor is at the level of the front end of the horrizontal reflector on the rear bumper. If you wave your foot underneath the bumper at this point, the boot opens/shuts every time!
Satnav routing, if you have live traffic on, the sat nave reroutes you around traffic hotspots to get the fastest route! which in y opinion saves time!

Love this video! I am purchasing the Velar in May and I admit, I've never studied a vehicle so much in my life. I am going to freak out the guys at the dealership. I know exactly* what I want.
I love your interior. I'm going back and forth with yours or the standard black. I wear jeans daily so I'm afraid I'll ruin the white quick. :( What do you think about the white interior? That ambient lighting is on my RR checklist. 😍 Definitely the Dynamic black package as well. I wouldn't take anything less.

Thank you! Awesome, yeah the interior is great. I wear jeans all the time, the leather will show up marks but not as much as you think, I've only cleaned jean marks once or twice and they come of super easy.. All you need is a microfibre and a dap of water, wipes straight off! Enjoy your car when it comes!!

The headlight thing could be a little bit annoying, it is just Land Rovers are too high that a lot of people can't tell if you are on high or low-beam. My last generation RR Sport which is equipped with HID not LED, still too many times heads on traffic think I'm on my high-beam when I'm actually on low-beam, and I have to flash back one or two times to let them know I do respect others on road and care about everyone's safety.

We have the same issue with headlights on the Volvo XC90 with the led dynamic headlights also. I think it’s just a dynamic led headlight thing, even Audi led headlights always look high and bright also.
@@Peter-tc3ep Yes, the thing is people are not used to these headlights with new tech, and we can't explain to everyone we are actually obeying the law, and we can't make others feel better when we driving towards them.
I have the 2020 Velar. I love it, but I hate the InControl navigation. I’ve had mine for a week. It keeps saying that I need to sign-in. Also, on the 2020, you can change the song via bluetooth--even if it’s not plugged in.
How's the reliability?
How was it? And whats the issue and cost of running for annually?
@@hzqfrsh1046 I LOVE IT! I have no complaints. They updated the Incontrol navigation for free--apparently they noticed the problem and corrected it. I haven’t had it for a year, so I haven’t needed any service.

I bought a tune box for my 180 to take it 240bhp. Still get 55mpg on out of town
So your saying the 300 isn’t much faster with worse mpg and the 180 is much slower with roughly the same mpg ?
IS THAT WHAT IT IS!!? I just thought it was the new LED lights or the height of the headlights on a 4x4, but having a car like yours driving behind is the most irritating thing ever!! I do the exact same thing, I pull over and let them past. It's very dangerous I find, because I am focusing more on my rear view mirror and less on the road ahead. And the migraines it causes!
So yeh, now that I know it's not really the drivers fault, I may be a little bit less angry haha... but yes, very annoying.
P.S great car, would love to have one and maybe drive behind another 4x4 for a spot of payback!

Ah well never mind, maybe manufacturers will improve it somehow in new models.

Love your velar videos, actually ended up getting one after seeing how good it looks in your last video! (Did get the 20s though because I would destroy the 22s)
I was having the same troubles with Apple Music, but they’ve just released Apple CarPlay that you can get updated at your dealership for free. Solves the issues of SatNav/Music/Response time since you’re using your phone as the brains!
How do you like the ride quality on the springs? I ended up with a v6 so got the air suspension standard, but just wondering on your thoughts on if it still glides over potholes and the rest or if you can feel it

A A I absolutely love love love the car! It still makes me excited every time I walk upto it or when a catch a glimpse of it in a window reflection when driving. I would also highly recommend the air suspension, so much more luxurious and the car lowers for you to get it easy to get in and out! You can’t go wrong with this car at all!!

i dont recomend buying the diesel land rover engines after 2016 because the will be land rovers ingenium line engine which are incredibly unreliable so get the p250 or p300 which is your best bet

WOW! Only 30mpg? I have a D300HSE R-Dyn and I'm averaging 29.5. Did you drive the V6? It's not just performance, it's a million times more refined that the 2 litres. And it comes with air ride as standard. The salesman coaxed straight from a 240 (which is what I was going for) into a 300 and I was sold as soon as I pulled away. Absolutely no comparison. Mine's red, black wheels (21"), black roof and I love it. But hate the infotainment. Buttons/wheels look less cool but usable on the go, which this is not.

Fraser I get my new D300 HSE R Dynamic in a months time I’m told that the centre console gets scratched over time so should get it PPF coated your thoughts on this would be appreciated
How often you have to clean the leather, and dose it look like new once its cleaned ?

The only thing difference will be full frame against apsc dude! Video quality is pretty much the same if you don’t care about iso or slow motion. If you just want good HD video both are great!

Surely “My & Ownership” should only be used when the car is fully paid off? And not just rented on PCP.
You can buy a phone on finance nowadays.. you bought it with a loan which you pay. You’re not gunna walk past say an Apple store and take your phone back in and say thanks I’ve used it for the day.. here, have it back for the night and I’ll pick it back up in the morning.
Technology is always upgrading so it will never ever work 100%. In two months time all these thing will work and a new batch of things will not work. Get use to it, this is how technology works. The car on the other hand is spectacular.
