Thanks for video. In USMLE, imgs usually get internal medicine, pedia and patho and what about PLAB? I want to be a Radiologist. So its easier to apply for PLAB to get our own field of choice?
Is the English speaking exam necessary if you are an IMG from a Caribbean medical school that has a route for the usmle, with residency in the US? Meaning if I am considering the PLAB route I have to take the usmle step 1 &2 in order to get my MD degree, then I would have to apply for PLAB 1?
If you are not a native English speaker originally from Britain, America, Canada, or New Zealand, you have to take the test of English language to be eligible to sit for PLAB exams.
Please I am in my 5th year medical student in Ukraine. It is my dream to practice in Uk. I need your mentorship on how to transit after my study in Ukraine please.
If I may replay, yes, you still need to take the English Test, I am from an English speaking country also, but since you are an International Medical Student it is compulsory to take the English Test before proceeding to taking the PLAB.
Wow, thank you very much for all your videos I stumbled on this page today as I was being bothered by a lot of things concerning working out of my country, but I think with what I have seen here, I believe I have made up my mind. And also coming from your previous videos I will say you're doing a great job with the video editing now(sorry I am a medical student but also into graphics design🙈), thank you for putting efforts into these videos. God Bless, love from Nigeria❤🇳🇬
It's obvious that USMLE is tougher than Plab as I did both..so one has to be smart focused and ready to devote time without working to succeed. Again there is no debate that Usmle is much tougher and time consuming than the plab
@Nick I left the UK 🇬🇧 because I was never given the training pathway I desired. I am a Surgery Resident 5th year Chief of a Program . That could never have been possible if I was in UK.
@Nick Rich??? Very funny .. no that's a lie !! USMLE is determination yes its tougher but doable and you have got to score high to ne Matched unlike the Plab you just work not necessarily a training pathway... All the USMLE wants you to get a great score match up with US grads ...
I’m graduating soon and I’ve been torn between PLAB and USMLE. This really clarified things. Thank you so much for this video.
Happy you find it useful
This editing is everything... I like this willing to see more...

Thanks for video. In USMLE, imgs usually get internal medicine, pedia and patho and what about PLAB? I want to be a Radiologist. So its easier to apply for PLAB to get our own field of choice?

If u have a carribean passport u are exempted from an English test. Check the GMC website
Nice video. Epic verification is not necessary to apply for US residency
Thanks for that. Last time I checked it was but things must have changed so fast. Thanks for pointing that out
It means plab exam wouldn't lead us to get residency in uk?
Yes plab is for you to start working
Can you make a video on journey to residency in UK as an IMG

In summary usmle is for smart folks and plab for average fmg
It's obvious that USMLE is tougher than Plab as I did both..so one has to be smart focused and ready to devote time without working to succeed.
