I've had to put some work into that I need to make another video on but it's turning out to be a pretty nice car, sad that it sat neglected for so long.
Amazing what a little soap can do for a car! Love those iconic body lines.... And it shined up nice, too! Can't imagine what a little polish would do to that hood.... Really make it POP! Great video; keep it up!
Agreed. Thanks! Still will need a repaint but it would be nice to polish it up and make it look as best as it can for now while making sure it is roadworthy.
Looks great! Where I'm at (in the North) we don't have to worry so much about the clear coat coming off but rather the cars completely rusting out. This looks like a nice, rust-free car. I'd imagine 1 chrome wheel alone sold on ebay would net you the entire $150 cost of the car.
I get the feeling your a new youtuber by the amount of views. Just want to let you know, don't give up because its slow in the beginning. People will hook to you within the first year keep it up.
Actually funny thing about that. I bought those tires to have cheap rollers on the last project, the Mark VIII, before I got a different set of wheels for it. Still had these sitting around so I threw them on, slightly undersized but good for now.
On a machine like that, I would have expected Goodyears, Pirellis, Michelins or Contis, not what I saw on those rims…I know for a fact if I did that on my daily, it would handle like a dog and hate me for it too!! Working on a C124 now and it will be getting a good set of Michelins. I don’t dice with tyres, my life and that of others rides on them…
Any videos on it? I acquired this idenicsl model and spec it sat since 2012. The entire front wiring harness was chewed in half by mice and the engine harness was deteriated also the plastic lifter oilers were leaking with low oil pressure and top end rattle. Everything is gixed now and i absolutley love this car. Lots of presence and very substantial lol. Gazing at the three pointed star driving on back roads it seamlessly cruises through corners and accelerates with ease. Its not fast but for late 80s engineering and a 2 and a half ton car it is impressive.
They don’t make them like they used to! Keep loving and saving other Benzes!
150 bucks for this is just insane! What a steal!
