I think Nintendo wanted to make clear that FLUDD was getting damaged every time we ground pound in the final battle, if we read FLUDDS texts we can see that, but when you're playing you barely notice them XD so the ending cutscene is kind of cringey idk.

A humanoid carnivorous plant that attacks you by throwing up. A giant squid that you kill by slowly ripping off it´s limbs. An angry caterpillar the size of a train. A mechanical dinosaur with a flamethrower and 4 missile launchers. The ghostly siluette of a giant manta ray that divides into two when you try to kill it. A giant ghost playing tricks on you. An Eel that can eat you whole in the bottom of the ocean.
