"Soldiers of the union, broke the citadel" , is referred to the actual name of the operation, on the German side ,"Operation Citadel" (Unternehmen Zitadelle). Very clever songwriting 🤘🏻
I started watching because of the Sabaton reactions. I stayed because of your awesome personality
Sabaton has a way to make you feel pride for a country you're not from, but would die in battle for while listening to their songs
That opening line of "Into the motherland the German army marched..." pops in my head from time to time and I immediately get goose bumps and a patriotic feeling for Russia, then followed my inner McCarthy blowing a gasket lol.
Last time I was this early the Germans still had the upper hand

I've never seen these footage in mainstream documentaries, dang independent content creators are much more informative than history channels
When you were listening in the car, were you caught driving at 200 MPH?
I would say that calling them Germans and Soviets are correct, not all Germans were Nazis, but in the Soviet Union, they were made up of all kinds of different ethnic groups that were allowed in the military. If you had pulled a random person from the Wehrmacht, there was a chance he wasn't a Nazi, but pull a random person from the Red Army, they could be Russian, Ukrainian, even Polish or Estonian, so a be all term would be the name of their country, "Soviet"
Calling the Germans Nazis is like calling the soviets communists

Fun story: This was the first Sabaton song I've ever heard. It was in my Spotify discover weekly list. I was working and when the song started i wasn't sure what was happening. I was really confused by listening to a song about Battle of Kursk.
