So 230 total/ triglycerides 83 / hdl 53/vldl 17/ ldl 160 is good or bad going to the doctor's and I don't think he's going to like this so where do I point him direction wise help him understand my situation.
I needed this info as my Cholesterol has gone way up as advised by my Doctor who actually scared me!! She has told me that it has skyrocketed and thanks to your video, I now know it is ok and to keep going on my Keto Diet!! Thank You Dr Berry!
What about the few people with Familial Hypercholesterolemia? My physician grandfather is suspected to have died of this with a fatal first heart attack at age 39 in 1949. My Dad, his son, diagnosed with FH, had his first bypass in his 40's. Is keto safe if your LDLreceptors have the genetic malfunction caused by FH?
I'm a truck driver my doctor told me that I need to go on insulin I tell her he was wrong doc Barry you have saved my life All I had to do was eat right I was on 5 different drugs now I am drug free
I drove too, for about 3 years over the road. I was overweight already, and I gained 80lbs in 3 years. Horrible food, no exercise. Last year my Dr prescribed metformin for diabetes. I took it for 2 days and saw some videos by Dr Berry and Dr Jason Fung on intermittent fasting. Stopped taking the metformin immediately and started low carb and IF. Initially it wasn't full blown Keto, just low carb. I lost about 45 lbs in 10 months, but kind of stalled there. I went Full Keto and OMAD and started losing again. Down about 75lbs total now and my A1C is now under 5. Still got about 50 more pounds to go to get to my goal weight of 175. Thanks to Keto and OMAD, I actually believe I'm going to get there.
My mother lived to a very active 94yrs with high cholesterol . She never took drugs to control it. She was rarely ill. She just decided one day to go home to be with my dad.
@@junacalica4517 Your Total Cholesterol isn’t a useful marker. Monitor Triglycerides and HDL. Funny enough, if you eat very low carb as Dr. Berry suggests, your triglycerides will lower and HDL will raise… as it is supposed to do. LDL-C is also useless. You want to test the type of particles. Hopefully, you asked for a copy of your lab results, including reference ranges. (It is your legal right to get your lab results). Then look for yourself. Statins don’t help; more harm especially to women.
Couple of days ago I got bloodwork checked after about a year of transitioning to low carb and since February 1st just meat eggs salt water coffee. Total cholesterol more than 400, LDL a oittle over 300, HDL 67, triglycerides 107. Not scared, not concerned, not agitated. Im feeling lighter healthier greater than ever, sleep is deep and easy and waking up I jump out of bed which is a miracle. No question here. I just owe so much to people like this precious person Ken Berry for educating simple people like myself. Keep it up doctor, you are helping the world change! Greetings from Greece!
Thank you for this comment. My markers are almost identical Total cholesterol 426, Triglycerides106, LDL 300, HDL95 ... My doctor called this morning at 7 AM wanting me in the office ASAP. Super scary. I have been doing keto for three years almost lost 100 lbs (96) and my waist to height ratio is .417 I am going to politely insist on getting the other markers Dr Berry suggested to compare.
My short story - 73 years - 270 lbs. and a life long lover of carbs - I found your site 7 days ago (virus lockdown) - I have been binge watching your video's. Fasting today and I at 16+ hr.'s. and it's not a problem (never have done this) - 0 carbs in 6 days - 0 sugars in 6 days - I am free, free of that old life style. I take ACV w/ 8oz water 3 times a day (that help w/any hunger pains) I am down 7 pounds. One of the most noticeable feeling is that this morning I had zero back pain. I got out of bed and could not believe how much better I was. I have resisted the VA Doctors spine fusion for years. I did not take my reg. dose of Hydrocodone. I want to thank you. It's hard to express how your information is changing my life. I can't wait to do my labs next month at the VA. Bless you! I'll keep you updated !
I’m down 60 lbs. the one thing I didn’t know was the cost of clothing- I have lost 10 inches belt size - Now with winter in MN. I will not worry - baggy clothes are in vogue. I got my first complete blood work up at the VA since the COVID-19 crap and I classification of Type 2 Diabetes is gone ~ Dr was impressed w/ my report he said he couldn’t believe the #’s - he cannot remember seeing such large change - I have been going through a separation event in my life and basically been living out of 2 suitcases and a couple of bags but now I’m home again and will continue my weight loss journey- - I have been struggling with sugars late at night so I have delayed my supper until 7 or 8 pm - Fasting in AM until afternoon. All the years of poor choices in food are still a challenge - I walk about 4 + miles every other day and that helps clear the mind!
@@keithgeisen 👋 wow 60lbs! That's awesome😁 I stop eating between 5pm & 5:30pm most nights now, and I don't eat the next day until about 12 noon or 1pm... gives me a 19 or 20 hour fasting time. I continue to lose weight with this eating schedule. Glad to hear your life is back to a more normal for you. God bless & continued good health sir.👍
I'm down 30lbs and I'm heading to the VA to see if my bloodwork is different. A1C was 6.7 in Feb of this year and was told I was a T2 and to take metformin. Nope. I did it with keto and will see how the insides faired. Wish me luck.
@@RestorUrPassion - - - I have to be NPO - nothing by mouth except my morning meds - I did not drink and was told that, the fact I didn't drink showed up in my testing (not drinking) Who knew? My doctor was impressed because my A1C was below normal? I am not classified as a Type II Diabetic - any more! My HDL was great from the past and the same with LDL - He said he could not believe the difference - on paper I'm in my twenties - How did you do.
Statins almost killed my husband , he got dermatomyositis from them and he never had a cholesterol issue always WNL but due to the study for DM type 2 prevention of cardiac and stroke ! Worse thing ever
@@kinflorida579 cardiac muscle is formed differently than skeletal muscle (attached to bones) or smooth muscle (aka involuntary/organs) // so in that, your dr is right - however, I'm not sure how statins affect the various muscle fibers differently

Had my first diabetic check up after starting keto and IF. Everything was much improved EXCEPT my cholesterol. Statins were advised but I said “no thanks!” Glad I watched this!
Cholesterol doesnt cause heart disease.. triglycerides/sugar is the culprit.. that’s what this video is about. New research prooves it. In fact prior to the new research, the data was made up
@@dsonyay No new research references offered just waffle. It seems easy for conmen to take money from people these days. I’m guessing the world is flat for you also yes because the people who show it is round just made it all up 👍
Your LDL is 188, and guidelines say it should be less than 100mg/dL. Are you worried about this at all? Or, do you believe the guidelines are incorrect?
@VEGAN cholesterol is only one factor. There's a lot of other factors im sure. Medical and family history of illness, diet exercise, drugs alcohol smoking, etc. Really have to consult a doctor to get a comprehensive picture specific to you, and not rely entirely from what you read online.
@@marshallderriek1858 wrong! He presents many links to studies & research to prove his point. Keto is the proper human diet (PHD) and has helped many people with their health issues. I am one of them & I am healthier now.
I am 67 years old. I decided to try the carnivore style menu early summer or late spring of this year. That was because I broke out in hives because of something that I was eating that my body disagreed with. The carnivore menu came to my attention And I immediately went to almost all meat. The rash and small little sores on my legs disappeared very quickly along with fluid buildup in my legs. After about three months I lost about 30 pounds. I wasn’t trying to lose weight. My waist is completely trimmed, and it looks like when I was a teenager. I recently had a physical and my blood pressure usually running in 120/80 range dropped to 100/66. My cholesterol went up to 201 which is about 15 points higher than two years ago. The nurse practitioner who did my physical said. I should try to bring my cholesterol level down. With this new information about our cholesterol levels, my mind is completely changed..
1. My oncologist urged me to start keto, she says the same things as Dr Berry says in this video. Triglycerides are the more important marker to watch. 2. I learned about our body needing cholesterol back in college, in the 70's., in biochemistry class.
I'm so happy to learn about this! Been doing Keto for about 2 years and my last cholesterol blood test showed my triglyceride level at 47! My HDL was 70 and LDL was 112.
Dr Thomas Friedman (Boston College researcher) has profound things to say about Keto & cancer ... starving cancer. A couple of his videos can add tremendous insight on that subject if needed
No true doctor will ever say you don’t need cholesterol that is like saying we don’t need salt but high cholesterol or high salt is bad I.e the whole subject is about staying in a safe range
I recently switched health insurance and went for a checkup. I'm 61 years old, 5' 8" 128 lbs, exercise at least 5 to 6 days a week (have very low body fat) and have been doing keto for well over a year now. My HDL came back at 136, triglycerides 46 and LDL 223. Needless to say, when I called my doctor to discuss the results she says "we need to start you on a statin immediately!" (like it was some kind of emergency). She went on to say I needed to lose weight, start exercising regularly and of course eat a low-fat diet with lots of fruit, vegetables, and whole grains. I am presently looking for a new doctor! Thank you for your videos and for your book! Have you ever been on the Joe Rogan podcast?
Almost identical situation HDL:138 LDL:176 TG:40. At one point it was HDL:156 LDL:236 TG:50 When my LDL (big fluffy pattern Atype) goes up so does my HDL. They are in complete synchronization. That tells me my body is doing exactly what it should be doing. Doctor says I hold the record in his office for both highest HDL and highest total cholesterol.
Dido! My docs over the years listen to me in the office, then forget that we had a meaningful conversation and their nurse calls with the drama about going on a statin immediately. I’ve been told that they are going to document that I am refusing and don’t care about my health. I say, No! You will document that I will discuss my health with my MD and make a plan. Then I have another conversation about cholesterol health with the doc & they back off. Who’s the doctor?
The ketogenic diet has so many wonderful health benefits, it's a shame some people worry so much about something so meaningless as their cholesterol level...
I’m wondering what to type into the search engine to find reliable scientific research (if there is such a thing) on this subject. Seems like I just come up with a bunch of junk articles.
I am so thankful to find your videos. I have been a type 2 diabetic since 1997. It started as gestational diabetes while pregnant with my first child, then it came back full time after my 3rd child was born in 2004. I feel so upset at the lies I have been told over the years from doctors and nutrition classes. The last 10 years I have been desperate to lose weight trying everything. I love to exercise and for the last 5 years I have been going to the gym at 5:00 am to help lose weight. I have not lost 1 pound in 5 years. I will say it has helped my blood sugar to be somewhat lower. I have tried every diabetic medicine and after countless UTI’s, stomach issues they gave up and put me on metformin and insulin. And then it seemed as if I was gaining weight no matter what I did. My feet would hurt like they were inflamed all the time. I was tested for neuropathy but told I didn’t have that I had some thing called reynauds syndrome. They told me to keep my feet and hands warm and I would be fine. Well to this day they hurt and burn all night. I’m sure it’s inflammation. I take a handful of pills every night and my doctor says i need it all for prevention because of my family history. I have always thought why am I taking cholesterol medicine and high blood pressure pills when I have never had those things. Finally my doctor gave up on me and my complaining and told me the only thing I can suggest for you is gasteral bypass surgery. I’m probably about 50 lbs overweight. I thought you had to be like a 100 lbs over weight to have that surgery. At first it seemed so drastic to me but I will have to admit about a month ago I felt desperate enough to inquire about it. I didn’t do it but I can’t explain the amount of desperation I feel. I am trying my hardest to do keto and I have lost 4 lbs! I also stopped taking my insulin and have kept my blood sugar at a even healthy level. I WILL NEVER TAKE INSULIN AGAIN IN MY LIFE NO MATTER WHAT ANYBODY SAYS. They made me feel like I would die without it. I still take the 2000 mg of metformin and I would like more info on how to gradually get off that and also get off some of my other medications. If you could address that in a video that would be wonderful. Thanks again for all your help. You are literally saving lives. Tonia
Hi Dr. Berry your timing couldn't be more on point! I saw my Doctor yesterday and told me my LDL is high and if doesn't lower on my next blood work he would have to give me meds for it. I need to show him the new research. Thank you for all you do!
This exact thing happened to me. I lost 20 on Keto. I went to my Dr. of 25 years and thought he'd be proud, no. He took my bloodwork and call in a couple of days and called me in a cholesterol medication which I never have had high cholesterol. I haven't taken the meds.
The fact that healthcare practitioners wonder why patients are non-compliant but never think to ask is very telling. I just shed my immunologist because she takes personal offense when I refuse the litany of prescription meds she offers (I was receiving allergy shots for tree allergy). She tells me that sometimes "knowing too much is not good, my Drs are the experts and I should learn to behave like a patient." I'm a disabled RN (under 60yrs) and my quality of life and course of disease management is sub-par. I take one medication as bandaid for a symptom and two more medications for the side effects caused by the original medication. I lost it after 3 yrs and loudly told her about herself in January and one week ago I just came off an antidiabetic drug, while still on inhaled steroids. I'm going to improve my health status without her and with my determined change in eating habits and avoidance of toxin laiden lifestyle.

Thanks for the great video Dr. Berry. I am 60 and eating LCHF for 11 years now and my CAC score is 0 for all four arteries of the heart. I eat 8-10 eggs with good amounts of butter a day. Feel much healthier than ever.
8 to 10 eggs. That's awesome. I ever believed eggs were bad not butter. They taste so good and you feel so good after them. And they're natural. Thanks for your story.
I've just started LCHF and now almost carnivore about a year ago. I quite often eat a sheet - 1 ft by 1.5 ft if pork crackling covered with salt a day piece by piece and my triglycerides are low and my sodium is low. Lol
When I have my daily “Happy Eggs” brand boiled eggs, still a bit raw just in the center, with Kerry gold butter and real salt,… I actually scream out loud every time. I’ve never tasted eggs so good. I choose that brand because when I mix up a raw one with a little warm water to drink it, it tastes sooooo good. I can’t believe it. 🤩😋
@@christinakinnear8239 we don't have thst brand of eggs and don't think I can get that real salt brand but that description of runny boiled eggs sounds so good. How long boil for perfection and do you drop em in boiling or bring to a boil? Also any tricks for getting em out of the shell whole so I can put a whole one in my mouth and bite into it there. Lol. I love eggs too. Always did as a kid. Double ommolette everyday. Frying em in lard makes a difference and wo, so does white pepper. When I got white pepper 10 years back and made one I said 'thays why my grandma's ommolette tasted better.'
@@aidanpoulter9514 I run the sink water until it’s really warm and then put the eggs in to boil them. That makes it faster to get the boiling instead of waiting for cold water to get hot. Then I watch it and when it starts to boil, I set the timer for 5 minutes. Also because it’s now boiling, I take the temperature down from high to about 7 or 8, which is about medium or between high and medium. Then when 5 minutes is over, I take them and run cold water on them until just right to handle in my hands and peel them. I actually cut them in half to add butter and it gets melted and with salt is soooooo good. I only eat eggs this way it’s the best. But also omelets is good because I can add things like fresh chopped tomatoe and whatever, maybe even some cheese 😁
4 years Keto, down 195lbs. 5.2 113lbs currant. I've learned so much from this man on my journey ... and not just for keto. Reversed diabetes, now looking for in-site for my high cholesterol and plaque build up... NOT wanting to go on statins.. (not sure yet, a walking stress test is next), His videos need to be shared. I'm still learning and sharing. *Thank you Dr. Berry!
I've been on keto for 5months along with IFasting. I'm 63yr old and at 6'4 I've lost 20lbs from 232 to 212lbs, my waist from 40 to 38, my A1C has come down from 6.2 to 5.5, my triglycerides from 229 to 112, my HDL from 49 to 72, and my bad cholesterol LdL went up from 70 - 118. Everything Dr. Berry talks about came to pass. I'm all in !
If every single thing got better except for LDL, which went up, then maybe a higher LDL is actually better. I bet you in 50 years we will look back on this LDL time with an entirely different point of view
Thank you for this video today. My husband saw the doctor this week and he said he needed statins. We're taking a second look at his weight/height and the markers you've mentioned here. No statins. We're both doing Keto and loving it.
A little knowledge is dangerous. A well read doctor will tell you recent studies show that statins perform a role of anchoring/stabilizing regions of plaque buildup by affecting the arterial lumen. While Dr B is absolutely right about the CAUSE of the buildup (which is what he was talking about...essentially diabetes and its onset), IMO you're ("we"? Is he on life support to where he's incapable of making his own health decisions?) writing hubby an Rx for a stroke if he's been diagnosed with atherosclerosis. I'm not a doctor, but know what my doc, the chief of cardiology for a large healthcare outfit, told me.
He can take the statins while adopting a low carb lifestyle at the same time. I don't think the idea is that statins are a free pass to keep being a couch potato who eats nothing but junk food.. or that eating healthy makes you immune to health problems and you won't need to take medicines ever again.
I am an MD and would NEVER take a statin. Unfortunately it is one big scam. I would venture to say the majority of MDs just listen to what the good looking drug rep states about efficacy. This is twisted and they compare relative risk and not absolute to make it look like a 40% improvement when it is actually less than 1%. Check out youtube talks by Dr. David Diamond. He goes through all this.
An M.D. is far from being a cardiologist and gets paid accordingly. Mostly runny noses and people that can or cannot defecate as they think they should.

Please, get in touch with the VA. I go to the Veterans Health Clinic in Youngstown, Ohio. The VA is still doing things the old fashioned way. I really want the doctors to be on board for me and for other veterans. Thank you.
I also use the VA also and its shameful how they practice. I've had high cholesterol my entire life, its was 137 when I was 18 then went into the service it jumped to 252 when I was in my 20's...its gone up and down for 20+ years never below 200. When My dad died of a heart attack his was " high" but never above 200 he was on a statin...I love Dr. BERG, BERRY, BERGMAN, SINATRA, Fung...the list is pretty long. They all are saying the same thing. I have started a Mediterranean based diet, but eliminated breads and super high carb fruit. My last visit with my doctor at VA I told her that I'm not taking a statin. They have never done the particle test, or the calcium test, or the ultra sound, before prescribing the drug. They are basing my dads death and a lipid panel on my risk, they didnt even look into why my cholesterol is high to begin with...and seriously what constituents state what is "normal". If the FDA, AMA, etc requires proof that this or that is right or wrong, normal or abnormal, than SO DO I! Do the damned tests, until then stick your statin straight up your butt! Dr. BERRY IF YOU SEE THIS I WANT AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU! I'm in the Nashville area.
devinefaithalchemy I’m currently on a statin. I hope to get off soon. They did recommend the mediterranean diet for me, because of hyperinsulinemia. I am hoping they will get on board real soon with this way of eating/living. People’s lives depend on it.
My VA doc is a wonderful person... she really cares... but she can't stand anything about KETO. I fasted for 8 days, just water and a touch of salt and my cholesterol went thru the roof. She told me I was eating too much meat. I told her I went from SAD (Standard American Diet) to a complete water fast for 8 days so how could it be MEAT?!? Insert the sound of crickets chirping here.... total silence. Yet every time I go in it's the same thing, "Your LDL and triglycerides are terrible, you need to stop the meat and take Stupidor." Now, in fairness to the VA, I get EXCELLENT eye care with them. All my life I've had eye problems and the VA is ON THIS. BTW each VA is different... I'm in Boston with excellent schools for eye docs who rotate thru the VA bringing the latest info with them. So again, each VA is different.
@@gypsumgoddess2828 You didn't mention seed oils. Don't take any. They are all over in processed foods. Eat low inflammatory foods. Get omega 3 from fish. All that just in case you don't get to the good Dr.
This is exactly what I'm looking for. I just had a test which showed high LDL and total Cholesterol. I was worried. Then I saw this bid. What a relief. Thank you Dr Berry. More blessings to you.
Most of these doctors are clueless. Dr. Berry helped open my eyes. Probably the most important number when it comes to artery clogging is the remnant cholesterol, which is computed by deducting your HDL and LDL from your Total Cholesterol. If you're below 22 you should be fine. Do you think my doc knew that? My cholesterol was almost 400 but my Remnant only 22, so I'm not too worried. Also have the CAC test to know what's going on inside if you're truly worried. I moved to Florida to start my Keto diet and my story and results are incredible.
Thank you for that. I've been doing Keto & IF & several 36-48 fasts for about 8 weeks...spending most of the time deep in ketosis...feeling great and bodyfat is melting away without effort. I had a lipid panel done yesterday...Total Cholesterol - 434, LDL-340...cardiologist freaked out. But when I add my HDL-78 to the LDL, I get 418. That puts my remnant cholesterol at 16. Your comment is very reassuring. Oh, and my triglycerides-81, VLDL-16...both pretty darn good.
Dr. Barry I am so in tune with you I am 66 years old I’ve always done fast thing ever since 27 years ago I was doing the Mestic cleanse I was always believing in faster than four years ago I went into keto but in the past I have done Dr. Atkins also now after doing keto for four years I’m starting To be eating carnivores thank you so much and I love you
Dr Berry went to the dr Friday. She told me to get off Keto and get on Mediterranean diet. I’m still on Keto because of videos just like this. Thank you for your hard work.
Mine insisted I stop keto and embrace a low fat, low salt diet even though my sodium level is on the low side of normal. She didn't even comment on my potassium level which is lower than my sodium, thus out of balance with sodium. Oh, and she said to eat corn flakes for breakfast and have one dessert a day. I just smiled.
I have had bypass surgery in 2014 and had a pacemaker put in. One year post op, took the statins and ate low fat and low salt. Ended up feeling like sh-t. Starting in 2015, went high fat, low carb, put the statins in the garbage, and I can say I Have never felt better in my life. Btw, all of my life I was low fat and ate the 7-10 servings of grain ended up needing a quintuple bypass. Sugar and carbs are deadly NOT cholesterol. Thank you DR BERRY for going speaking the truth.
LOL! You would give her a stroke doing that, Bill. Manny, I was on the low-fat diet for years following my doctor's (of that time) advice and it wrecked my health. I had just had my last baby and he suggested that I needed to lose weight. I agreed, so I was off on this new lifestyle change. That was 25 years ago. Now I am trying to recover what was done to me through terrible advice. Educating myself is step one. Step two is implementing what I've learned. I have a long ways to go, but the journey begins with the first step and I am on my way now.
Omg I'm freaking out because of my high cholesterol after I had my baby, but watching this put me at ease that I can still continue on my Ketogenic diet I asked my GP if it's is safe to go back on the keto diet she said " Probably not" but never gave me a reason why. Thank you so much Dr KenDBerry💓💓

Love your videos. Been watching for a long time I'm 75. Walk two miles a day. Hav been keto carnivore for 5 yrs. Lost 45 lbs and have kept it off. Feel soooo young ! Take no meds. Was weighing in thev160,s. Now 125. I'm 5' 7". Now in a size 4. Life's great !!!
Thank you so much for all of your research, dedication, & videos. It is so refreshing to have an actual doctor promote this lifestyle. After much of my own research, dietary trial & error, fluctuations & countless journals of every facet of my mental & physical health, KETO is 100% the gold Standard, in my humble opinion. Your videos are incredibly informative, & most importantly, effortless to listen to & absorb. Today's a rainy Labor Day in East Texas, & I'm gleefully binge listening to your KETO videos while cleaning my house. 😁 You're fantastic. Thank You!
Hi ... my You Tube doctors, Advisers and Nutritionists are ... Thomas DeLauer, Dr. Berg, Dr. Josh Axe, Dr. Gundry, Dr. Mercola, Ivor Cummins and of course, Dr. Berry. Thank you all so much for sharing your knowledge to the world. In a few months I will be 70 and feel great because I have been following your advice.
Has given me a recurring ankle rash even after being taken off of it after a 9 month stent of it and crestor as well. Thankfully now considered someone who can't take the crap.
Thanks so very much for this video! I had watched it when you first posted it, but two days ago I went to the Dr and the PA basically scared me into thinking I needed to start taking a pill. I wasn’t onboard with the idea so I went looking for this video. I found it and rewatched it and I feel SO MUCH BETTER! Thank you!!
Mine was over 6.5 few months ago .just got call this morning it's over 8.i have to take steins .He said this morning it's very high that I could have a heart attack. I'm only 44 and perrimonopausel.
@Обычный Парень That seems strange to me because I had high cholesterol when I was a Vegan for 2 years and then I started eating a lot of fat and meat and my cholesterol came back down and is normal all the time now. I guess people have different reactions to the same diets sometimes. I eat tons of good fats and have no problem whatsoever. I'm healthier than I've ever been.
@Обычный Парень I'm glad for you if it works for you but being a very strict Vegan for 2 whole years made my health much, much worse. And I was eating fruits and vegetables and whole grains and hardly any fat at all and I had worsening diabetes, high blood pressure, neuropathy, kidney disease, thyroid disease, retinitis in my eyes plus I had a heart attack. Today I eat a high fat, moderate protein, low carb diet and all those problems are gone and I'm off all that insulin and all those meds and not having to get shots in my eyeballs anymore. If you think I would EVER consider going back to eating rabbit food like you do, you're crazy, my friend.
@Обычный Парень Well just keep eating like a rabbit then and you'll see what happens. Some people like you just have to learn the hard way I guess. It's obvious you have a hard head and don't accept friendly advice from anyone who has learned from personal experience. You'd rather listen to those radical tree-hugger weirdos who don't want you eating any animals. Let me know how you are after 2 years of eating rabbit food like I did and if you're healthy. Here's a prediction: You won't be.
@Обычный Парень Good for you. I just hope you don't have a heart attack like I did from eating food God designed for RABBITS to eat. And I hope you're not as miserable as I was never being able to eat anything that tastes good. Like steak and prime rib and lobster and crab legs dipped in hot butter and shrimp and burgers and butter and lard and chicken and turkey and duck and cheese and bacon and eggs and ham and pork chops and sausage and roast beef and pork loin and pork chops and all the other good stuff God designated for HUMANS to eat. But I'm sure you're perfectly happy with lettuce and lima beans, right? Everybody CRAVES that! LOL. I'm sure you look forward to your next meal of that crap, right? Good luck!
@Обычный Парень Well I hope you fry your taters in lard because corn oil and canola oil and other seed oils are toxic. And apple pie is just junk food loaded with harmful oils and gluten and sugar. I never eat junk food. And if you think a cabbage sandwich and beans is good eating then you probably grew up poor and maybe unable to afford decent food. That stuff is for homeless people in a shelter. I can't eat that stuff. And I assume if you think apple pie is health food you were probably eating hot dogs for health when you were a carnivore. But I wish you luck in your endeavor to live that very dull and boring culinary lifestyle if that is what you choose or it's all you can afford. But as for me, give me the corpse of a big ol' Maine Lobster and some hot butter and I'll be fine and much healthier. Good luck!
I just got back from the VA and my doc told me that my cholesterol was too high. I didn't tell him I was on keto, just that I had been loosing weight. He was wanting me to take medication for cholesterol but I declined.(I wanted to see what I could do about it without medications on my own first, which is why I'm here)
@@Pynaegan Yeah and this happens everywhere, not just VA. My private sector doctor turned her nose up when I said I was eating ketogeniccally even tho I have lost significant weight and my lab values were average.
Thank you for your video! Had started keto in end of August...had doctor do blood cholesterol in November... 1) Lost weight from 139 to 122 and what to get lower. 2) Triglycerides went down from 134 to 78. 3) HDL went from 63 went up to 79. But Dr was concerned w/my cholesterol & LDL which both went up. Scary!!!! Doing my research but very good to see and find your video. Have to rewatch.
Hi Dr Berry, my doctor diagnosed me of severe hyperlipidaemia, very high cholesterol. He asked me to do a heart scan, CT Scan, Site: CT coronary angiography, Contrast After telling him that I don’t need to take atorvastatin. He was so worried. And i got a bit worried too. But thank you for this video after listening again, my fears and worries are gone! A big YES to Proper Human Diet👏🏻😇🙌🏻
From Linda.... thank you for the useful info. My husband was told the same thing by a Cardiologist to take a statin drug or die an early death. Well I told my husband NO to drugs and am trying to get him on a healthy program of eating better and avoiding sugar... not an easy task but I’m stubborn and will keep trying 😊
Don't forget to lose the carbs too. A great dr. made it simple : no grains, no potatoes, no sugars. It is hard for the first few weeks, but after that the addiction and withdrawal are gone and you no longer have those cravings. Low carb/high fat works.
This is some really great info. I'm trying to do the keto diet. The only time kiss tough is when I'm on shift at the fire dept. I don't want to force my crew into my dietary choices and I'm not gonna separate myself from them when it comes to dinner time. I'd really like to see you have a discussion with a doctor who has an opposing view from the keto diet. I think it would be interesting to see that conversation. I think it may help some people with their own doctor as well.
That is an excellent suggestion! I'd much rather see that than some collaboration of nodding heads. Yes, that would definitely help me defend cholesterol rating when I deal with my doc.
Do happy to find your channel. My doctor prescribed Atorvadtatin. and valsartan hctz years ago. Recent events in my life and flu events have changed my trust level. Last year I decided that I need to find natural solutions to replace the pharma meds. I stopped the Atorvadtatin because felt cloudy couldn't remember things. Within a week my memory improved. Overall, I felt fine. About 6 months ago I stated keto. Keto felt right for me. I've cut fast food, processed foods, cut grains way back, so keto was too hard. My point is went to doctor last week. He did a CBC, another test non fasting which checked colesterial. My colesterial was 200 . If had been 102 last time checked. Doctor called me later that day to tell me he has ordered double th dosage of Atorvastatin (40mg). I reminded him that I stopped that med and why. He said the mud won't cause that symptoms. No discussion of diet or exercises. Will not be taking the mud. I've increased my exercise, more prebiotics. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Watched this after a blood panel. My Doctor is saying my cholesterol is high and we have to do something about it. Been keto since 2015 and am 52 now. Am 6’ 3” and 180 lbs. I have bp of 110/70 and fasting blood sugar in high 80’s each morning. I told him “who cares about cholesterol over 200 if I feel this good?” He keeps calling about it!!! I should be on “stupid or” 🤣 Thanks so much for this video
Oh my gosh! this is exactly my situation. I was so conflicted because my doctor told me my cholesterol levels were up and I might have to get on medicine.
This just happened to my oldest daughter...she's lost around 80 pounds in the past year having been on a carnivore diet, and her doctor was really happy to see she'd lost weight, BUT when her test results came back, he called her on the phone and practically jumped down her throat, threatening that if she didn't take cholesterol meds, she'd be putting herself in danger of a stroke or heart attack. She was upset that he yelled at & was upset with her (since he already knows she doesn't want to take cholesterol meds). She has an appointment with a doctor Monday who is a keto friendly doctor, so hopefully that doctor will be able to give her more information on what she should do.
@@Redknuckles Thank you for asking. So far really good. The first visit with the new doctor went well...all my daughter's other tests came back really good, and she was told by the doctor that at this time her high cholesterol wasn't an issue that needed to be dealt with. My daughter has not been back to see the new doctor a second time as of yet. Travel time to get there is one issue, but there hasn't been any real need since the first visit to go back yet since she was mainly wanting to find out if her cholesterol was a problem or not. I will ask her if she is going back soon or not though, since I am not really sure of her plans regarding that. She has talked about going back to get blood work again, so we shall see I guess.
I just went through the exact thing with my doc, lost 70 lbs, sleep apnea gone, bp down, pre diabetes gone, IBS gone, but instead of being happy he was upset my cholestral went up and prescibed a statin that I won't take! Looking for new doc.
@@Redknuckles The new doctor was really good, doing some of the tests to make sure first, but said that as of right now, there shouldn't be anything to worry about as far as my daughter's cholesterol numbers go.
While my Dr. was concerned that my LDL level jumped from 80 to 218 on LCHF eating, he also said that for every point your HDL was above 40 your cardio risks dropped 2%. Mine went from 39 to 62 in the same time frame. Triglycerides dropped to 64 or -133% from previous levels.
Dear wonderful Dr. Ken, this video is spot on!!! I have been on keto 7 weeks. Lost 7.5kg and 7cm off my waist as well as 3 percent of body fat. My ldl to hdl doubled from 3.2 12 months ago to 6.4 yesterday's test. I am dreading a visit to my GP as it will surely be conversation about statins. Best wishes and love from London. Appreciate any comments.
Great video. I have lost 15kgs (33lbs) on the Keto diet and intermittent fasting and I did that because my fasting blood sugar hit 111 mg/dl with a body weight of 80kgs. My blood sugar now steadily runs between 88 and 95 mg/dg and I feel great, but my doctor called the other day to discuss putting me on Statins because my LDL is up. No mention that I'm no long prediabetic/Type 2 diabetic! Problem in the UK is GPs just follow guidelines and don't follow the science. I won't be accepting Statins and will take my chances!!
I know this video is older, but it really got me thinking. My doctor wants to put me on a statin. I said no way. I allowed her to prescribe Zetia, but I hadn’t taken it regularly. But now she wants me to take Repatha. Well, recently I have been having leg cramps. So I looked it up, and guess what. Zetia causes leg cramps. But I was told that my cholesterol is super high and I need these medications. Then I found you and this video, Dr. Berry. I stopped taking my Zetia, and my leg cramps are gone. My HDL is high, my triglycerides are low, and my LDL is high. I’m going to tell my doctor to back off on her quest to get me to take cholesterol meds. Hubby and I are doing Ketovore since Aug 1, and I’m down 10 pounds. And I feel better. I bought your book. Thank you for all you do!
Thank you! I was worried because my doctors made me worry. I needed to hear this! That said, I am fasting 18 hours Monday thru Friday and I do Keto. I eat clean using only avo, and olive, oils. I’ve lost 12 pounds in two weeks. More than 3 inches. I have herniations was using pain pills on and off. I have been pain free since day 2 of doing this. I haven’t needed any Tums; my go to almost everyday! I stopped because the doctor told me no and no cheese no dairy at all. Moderation is key! I am on it again as of tomorrow.
This exact thing happened to me! I started working out and started a ketogenic/no processed sugar diet in January. I had to get my bloodwork done at the end of March. I’ve dropped about 20 lbs. I feel amazing! The doctor then prescribed Lipitor, because my cholesterol was on the high end. Thank you for this video.
Do you still take Lipitor or did you not take it at all and lowered your cholesterol with keto diet? What exactly do you eat, I want to do this diet but I have high cholesterol and worry about keto diet, am also overweight
I do Orange Theory...so yes, I go to a gym. I think any exercise would be beneficial. Walking? There are a lot of free/at home options. 🤷🏼♀️ I understand being cautious.
@@Betterlattethannever307 Thanks. I’m walking and swimming alternate days. Have a bad knee so am avoiding the gym. Yes totally now there’s a ton of options online. Thanks again for responding🌷
My dad has diabetes, and every time I talk to him he has another question about Keto and why it might be bad for him. And it seems like every week you answer whatever question it was he had, I'm starting to think you have a listening device in my house.
Just got back husbands blood numbers. Keto for three wks. He is 80. Type 2 doctor has been trying to get him on insulin. He decided 3 wks ago to try keeping carbs down under 15 til he takes test. Today got the call. Triglycerides and Sugar is spot on! Doctor said “keep taking your insulin”. Lol he can’t seem to remember that my husband refuses EVERY PILL HE TRIES TO GIVE HIM. I told the girl..tell dr D it is WHAT YOU EAT NOT THE PILLS! HE DOESNT TAKE PILLS! Lol
Andrew Parke Have your dad start charting every meal and test his blood glucose levels at the 1 and 2 hour after eating. Then he can start eliminating foods that cause sugar spikes and increase foods that do not. Don't mention keto. What he will end up with is a keto diet. Worked on my husband.
Hey Dr. Berry, thank you so much for all the video's that you've made. They have all been super helpful. I would love to see you collaborate with Butter Bob Briggs. You both seem real and down to earth. Thank you for being real, and also thank you for actually caring about our health! :)
Drs. Fung, Westman, Foley, & Volek pretty please for collaborations? They are also experienced doctors with keto and can give us updated and more specific info as opposed to keto basics, such as how we may not need to worry about excess protein like we thought, more specifics on water fasting (should people with problems like hypothyroidism stick with IF and not do it), etc. Thanks!
Please consider collaborating with Dr David Perlmutter, Thomas Delauer, Dr Sarah Hallberg, Dr Robert Lustig, Dr Andreas Eenfeldt , or Dr Jason Fung thank you.
Another great video Dr. Berry! My provider is pretty decent and does at least listen to me but he still freaked a bit at my LDL going up 100 points after a year on a LCHF diet (it was already flagging pretty "high" since I quit a statin 3 years ago). With some persuasion I got him to order an actual NMR. This read my LDL even higher (a few points north of 300) but not a single one of my actual particle counts flagged outside of spec. My triglycerides were in double digits (down from north of 200 on the SAD). My HDL was 76 (up from the low 40's on the SAD). At 5'11" I've gone from a blubbery 232lbs to an almost lean 176. My blood pressure, which was never super high, is the best it's been in 30 years at 110/68. Upon receiving the NMR results my doc then wanted to send me to a "vascular specialist," calling my cholesterol "horrendous." 😂😂😂. I told him to relax and look up what a "hyper responder" is in the low carb community and that I'd just roll the dice and we could do a CAC at next year's physical if he wants (I had one 3 1/2 years ago and scored a big fat ZERO, which was the final prompting to get off statins after 20 years). It really is sad what Big Pharma and Big Food has done to human health! Keep fighting the good fight!
Thank you, due to a family history of heart disease my doctor put me on the highest dose of Atorvastatin. My cholesterol on Keto was 174. I am trying to eat a very low carb diet still but have adjusted the kinds of fats I eat. I needed this video, thanks again.
@8:20 Things to watch out for to decrease your risk for Heart Attack, Stroke, etc... 1) Height To Waist Ratio: Waist in inches divided by height in inches should be less than .5 2) High Triglycerides (150 MG/DL or more): Cut out fructose, sugar, starches, and simple carbs. 3) Fasting Insulin Level 4) HbA1c (Hemoglobin A1c) @12:00 Inflammation Markers: 1) C-reactive Protein (CRP) 2) Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) 3) Ferritin Blood Levels 4) C-Peptide Levels (similar to Fasting Insulin Test without the fasting)
@@nancydavis7499 Make sure you supplement with COQ10, not taking this with statins can cause many complications as statins stop the body from producing it.
I needed to hear this. I am an RN and doing keto. I am not looking forward to up coming blood work because I know my doctor will want me on a statin. I don't want it at all.
Leslie W. Stand your grounds. You know that we nurses have more knowledge when it comes to nutrition. I am an LPN of 36 years. My PA prescribed me a statin, which I have yet to take. When I go in for my next checkup, I will use this information that Dr. Berry gave us as my defense as to why I refuse to take the statin. Remember, it is Your RIGHT to refuse care, just as well to accept care.
Thanks for the usual great content Dr Berry. I have consistent high ldl numbers that hover just under 500. I do get my bloodwork done twice per year and these numbers have been consistent for over 5 years now since I started a ketogenic lifestyle that was very strict that turned into a full on carnivore lifestyle of predominantly beef and fat for the last 3 years. This video comforts me in feeling that Im on the right track.
You are high risk for cardio vascular disease, fact. Please research this more as all the lab trials have shown high LDLc is a direct risk factor. Ken Berry hasn’t supported his opposing theories with equivalent evidence he just talks and often at the end asks for money, I think you can work out for yourself his real motive
I have developed the same high LDL problem on carnivore after 3 months. Just over 400. What kind of test can one get to determine if it is because of that Familial High Cholesterol condition? My HDL is 109, triglycerides are 53, and VLDL is 11. No one really talks about LDL being this high.
Thank you so very much for all of the fantastic Keto information! My husband and I are in our 50's and have been in the Keto diet for about 1 year now. I have lost over 50 lbs. and my husband has lost over 20 lbs. He went off of his statin high cholesterol medication several months ago and just had his blood work done up. This week he received his blood work results. Everything except his cholesterol levels was normal. The Triglycerides went down from 232 to 97. The LDL went up from 166 to 250 and the HDL went up from 47 to 58. His cholesterol went from 259 to 327. Is 327 a means for concern? Dr. Berg is one of our favorites! :)
That’s awesome!! I had a kidney transplant last year and decided to do keto and started yesterday. How are his levels? His creatinine and his inflammatory markers? Is it okay with his drugs? I’m always worried about my prednisone side effects.
Katie Dr Ken is 199.9% on point and merely helping us get/stay healthy! Berg and DeLauer although extremely knowledgeable, sell products! Dr Ken gives us his time and research, no credit card payment needed! He’s my #1! ❤️😍💕🙋🏻♀️
I’ve been told from a NHS health worker that if I have a heart problem while away abroad on holiday, you won’t be covered by your insurance for refusing treatment for high cholesterol i.e. Statins etc.. I don’t take anything and I feel better than I’ve ever felt for a long time, I’m on a carnivore lifestyle. My Hb A1c has gone down from 48 to 37 👍
Thank you Dr. Berry. Been clean keto 14 months, never felt better in my life, I'm lean, ripped, super strong and sharp mentally at 56, my stress level is down and I sleep great!! Just had bloodwork done for the first time since keto, everything looked great except LDL way up! I know my doc with freak out but I'm going with your knowledge and not going to panic, gonna stay the course as I've never felt this amazing.
I would like to see you do a video with Butter Bob. Maybe you can get him to make videos again. He is one of the first people I watched when I started keto. Love your videos!

Dr Berry, my dad had a 165 cholesterol number, died from heart disease. Also was fond of carbs.
So 230 total/ triglycerides 83 / hdl 53/vldl 17/ ldl 160 is good or bad going to the doctor's and I don't think he's going to like this so where do I point him direction wise help him understand my situation.
Your reference do not supply needed research to back up your claim. Just one man experience with his high cholesterol. Very dispointing.
Me too, 6 meds gone
That’s amazing!
Wow ... 👍
Why can't doctors talk to patients about diet and exercise? They are just drug pushers.
My mother lived to a very active 94yrs with high cholesterol . She never took drugs to control it. She was rarely ill. She just decided one day to go home to be with my dad.
How high was her cholesterol? Mine is really high. I was put on lipitor 80 mg and life was crappy.
How about her triglycerides ??
That's a beautifully long life!
Mary Ae: You told us all a lovely story about your Mother, you put it over really well. She must have been a wonderful lady. Thank you.

Your Total Cholesterol isn’t a useful marker.
Dr Berry you are the man. I look to you and Dr Jason Fung and Dr Paul Mason for the real truth not the BS that mainstream peddles.

Heyyy, I'm in Thessaloniki & looking for a gastro Doc who knows about this stuff.. any chance ya know anything? 😅
Hi Keith👋 curious to know how your doing now 5 months later? Hope to see an update!😊

I'm down 30lbs and I'm heading to the VA to see if my bloodwork is different. A1C was 6.7 in Feb of this year and was told I was a T2 and to take metformin. Nope. I did it with keto and will see how the insides faired. Wish me luck.

My HDL was great from the past and the same with LDL - He said he could not believe the difference - on paper I'm in my twenties - How did you do.
Remember, statins come with a warning that they might do damage to muscles, like make them weak- and what is our heart? It’s a muscle! Enough said.
Excellent point!!
Statins almost killed my husband , he got dermatomyositis from them and he never had a cholesterol issue always WNL but due to the study for DM type 2 prevention of cardiac and stroke ! Worse thing ever
I asked my cardiologist about your heart being a muscle, he told me that it's a different kind of muscle and the statins won't hurt it.
@@kinflorida579 cardiac muscle is formed differently than skeletal muscle (attached to bones) or smooth muscle (aka involuntary/organs) // so in that, your dr is right - however, I'm not sure how statins affect the various muscle fibers differently

My doctor said they try to prescribe them to ALL diabetics.
But hey, statins worsen blood sugar and insulin resistance… no thx!
Exactly the same. I'm not diabetic though.
So you have a reduced risk of diabetes but increased your risk of cardio vascular disease, not much of a trade off

Your LDL is 188, and guidelines say it should be less than 100mg/dL. Are you worried about this at all? Or, do you believe the guidelines are incorrect?
Correct. I believe the new way to read lipids is the hdl/tg ratio, and that from a biochemistry standpoint, LDL is not a level which is relevant.
Dr. Berg, Dr. Mercola, and, of course, Dr. Fung! You four are the BEST!
Check out Ivor Cummins and Nina Teicholz!

My CRP is the only marker that is high at 3.5 . Should I worry ?
@@888jucu my doctor said that to me the other day - I couldn't believe it....
Brian Forsythe terrible advice from your doctor, glad you didn't fall for that trap! Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast all night!... all day!
Almost identical situation HDL:138 LDL:176 TG:40. At one point it was HDL:156 LDL:236 TG:50
When my LDL (big fluffy pattern Atype) goes up so does my HDL. They are in complete synchronization. That tells me my body is doing exactly what it should be doing. Doctor says I hold the record in his office for both highest HDL and highest total cholesterol.
Your doctor is out of her mind asking you to lose weight when you’re at an optimal weight and height ratio.
Good on you for not listening. 5'8" at 128 and you need to lose weight? She is a quack.
The ketogenic diet has so many wonderful health benefits, it's a shame some people worry so much about something so meaningless as their cholesterol level...
Get with Thomas Delauer!!!!

How is it going? Are you still off meds?

I've heard to never take stains unless I've had a heart attack. f big pharma
So glad I was directed to this video. Common sense and honesty. Thank you Dr. Ken. 🙏🏻

My Remnant is 24 and I have a CAC of 138 at 56 years old. Should I worry or keep on ketoing without a statin?

Starting in 2015, went high fat, low carb, put the statins in the garbage, and I can say I Have never felt better in my life. Thank you all so much for sharing your knowledge to the world. In a few months I will be 70 and feel great because I have been following your advice.
"I'm going to put you on stupitor." 🤣😂👍 That was great!
😁
Has given me a recurring ankle rash even after being taken off of it after a 9 month stent of it and crestor as well. Thankfully now considered someone who can't take the crap.
@Обычный Парень BOT TROLL
So funny! 😂 LOL
I would like to see you collaborate with Dr. Jason Fung. You two are the best in your fields.
@Обычный Парень
That seems strange to me because I had high cholesterol when I was a Vegan for 2 years and then I started eating a lot of fat and meat and my cholesterol came back down and is normal all the time now. I guess people have different reactions to the same diets sometimes. I eat tons of good fats and have no problem whatsoever. I'm healthier than I've ever been.
@Обычный Парень
I'm glad for you if it works for you but being a very strict Vegan for 2 whole years made my health much, much worse.
@Обычный Парень
Well just keep eating like a rabbit then and you'll see what happens.
@Обычный Парень
Good for you. Good luck!
@Обычный Парень
Well I hope you fry your taters in lard because corn oil and canola oil and other seed oils are toxic. Good luck!
I’m constantly fighting with my doctors at the VA!!!! Loving your videos!!!
How are you now, April 2022?
Hi Dr Berry, my doctor diagnosed me of severe hyperlipidaemia, very high cholesterol. He asked me to do a heart scan, CT Scan, Site: CT coronary angiography, Contrast
After telling him that I don’t need to take atorvastatin. He was so worried. And i got a bit worried too. But thank you for this video after listening again, my fears and worries are gone! A big YES to Proper Human Diet👏🏻😇🙌🏻
I'd love to see you working with Dr. Jason Fung!
It might expose the Keto diet, so that will never happen.
Dr. Annette Bosworth would be a great person for you to collaborate along side. You two have changed my life.
OMG Dr. Boz is so gorgeous I can't concentrate on what she is actually saying!
I should be on “stupid or” 🤣
Thanks so much for this video
It sounds like these doctors need to adjust for people who are switched over to fat burning instead of carb burning.
Every time my doctors say statin I say NO!
Oh my gosh! this is exactly my situation.
How has it been with the new doctor?
@@jamesparsons8006 Your experience mirrors a lot of other people's experience when it comes to the topic of high cholesterol yeah.
Exactly! Frustrating
Did your cholesterol go up when u lost weight my cholesterol went up
I know this video is older, but it really got me thinking.
I chose to not take Lipitor. I just continued to eat healthy. I’ve dropped over 40 lbs at this point and feel fantastic.
@@Betterlattethannever307 I take Lipitor. My diet is good but no exercise. Did you go to a gym? I’m around 60 too. Scared to go to the gym for COVID
Diabetes is not a disease. It can be reversed by fasting for 72 hrs or keto diet plus intermittent fasting (12 to 16 hrs fast)
not true kashsoldier type one cannot be reversed
Lol
Andrew Parke
Have your dad start charting every meal and test his blood glucose levels at the 1 and 2 hour after eating. Then he can start eliminating foods that cause sugar spikes and increase foods that do not. Don't mention keto. What he will end up with is a keto diet. Worked on my husband.
Welcome to the matrix simulation!! Ain't it grand!
Hey Dr. Berry, thank you so much for all the video's that you've made. They have all been super helpful. I would love to see you collaborate with Butter Bob Briggs. You both seem real and down to earth. Thank you for being real, and also thank you for actually caring about our health! :)
I love Butter Bob!
1) Height To Waist Ratio: Waist in inches divided by height in inches should be less than .5
2) High Triglycerides (150 MG/DL or more): Cut out fructose, sugar, starches, and simple carbs.
3) Fasting Insulin Level
4) HbA1c (Hemoglobin A1c)
@12:00 Inflammation Markers:
1) C-reactive Protein (CRP)
2) Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR)
3) Ferritin Blood Levels
4) C-Peptide Levels (similar to Fasting Insulin Test without the fasting)
Its waist to height ratio.
I was on a statins for years and it really effected my memory. Since I’ve been off them for the past year I’m not having the those issues anymore.
Really? Me too. My memory has gotten terrible since I went on statins. Did not know this.
@@nancydavis7499 Make sure you supplement with COQ10, not taking this with statins can cause many complications as statins stop the body from producing it.
Thanks!
Thank you very much Dan!!
thank u so much Sir.
I am from India
we really need more doctors like you.
keep inspiring and motivating us.
I needed to hear this. I am an RN and doing keto. I am not looking forward to up coming blood work because I know my doctor will want me on a statin. I don't want it at all.
Yes! RNs doing low carb/keto/0 carb unite!
C M yes!!!
Ditto!!
RN here doing Keto with cholesterol of 320! My dr is not worried,,, he understands keto
Wow! That look high though. Good luck on your weight loss.
How are you now?
Seriously the best video on RUclips. Period.
Got hubby on keto. He had a kidney transplant almost 4 years ago. He is doing great
We said NO to statins. Ug
That’s awesome!! I had a kidney transplant last year and decided to do keto and started yesterday. How are his levels? His creatinine and his inflammatory markers? Is it okay with his drugs? I’m always worried about my prednisone side effects.
I'd like to see you connect with Dr. Eric Berg and Thomas Delauer. Both have helped me so very much, although sometimes I disagree with Dr. Berg.
Katie Dr Ken is 199.9% on point and merely helping us get/stay healthy!
Berg and DeLauer although extremely knowledgeable, sell products!
Dr Ken gives us his time and research, no credit card payment needed!
He’s my #1! ❤️😍💕🙋🏻♀️
Katie Dr. Berg has great videos and is very knowledgeable but he is a chiropractor and not a physician
My Hb A1c has gone down from 48 to 37 👍
You should collaborate with KetoConnect. They’re awesome and so are you.

Collaboration with Dr. Eric Berg and Dr. Jason Fung. Thanks for a great informative video Dr. Berry.
Please collaborate more with Dr Fung. I work with a lot of CKD patients as a physical therapist.
Please, please, please collaborate with Dr. Annette Bosworth! You two together would reach so many people.
I would like to see you do a video with Butter Bob. Maybe you can get him to make videos again. He is one of the first people I watched when I started keto. Love your videos!
I miss him so..
I raised my cholesterol from 80 to 113 , and I reverted back eating all carbs . I'll follow your advice and disregard the cholesterol
