Thanks for sharing. I think alot of Filipino Americans experience growing up like you did. I migrated to the States when I was 5. Grew up in So Cal and my parents would speak tagalog to me but I would respond in English. You speak way better tagalog than I do and I give you props for making this video. I see that youre struggling to get it out and I feel the same exact way lol. Now we need Jason to make a Filipino video.

Filipino boy here in Australia, thanks for sharing your history! While I wasn't born in the Philippines, I suppose my story is super relatable to yours. My Tagalog sucks, if I'm not at my parents house I don't really eat filipino foods, and I don't have much Filipino friends at all. But somehow my culture is reasonably strong and when I can represent, my Filipino comes out and I "feel" Filipino. Love your stuff man, let's represent!!

Wow, that's so cool, seeing an Asian American (Filipino in this case) speaking Tagalog is so rare and cool. I'm Malaysian, wish I knew Tagalog, but everything has to start somewhere, it's okay if your Tagalog isn't good now, it'll become better the more you do it. Plus it's a good topic, motorcycles are a part of South East Asian culture.

  • @iChimchar_

Hell yeah! I grew up in Ilocos Sur. Drove bike all my life until I came here after nursing school. I went to University of Northern Philippines which is located at Vigan! I work as a nurse now in SCI and Brain Injury unit in San Jose. Weve had patient that was injured from riding bikes especially jigsters😂😂 jk. Kidding aside, my brothers in law just got into biking and it is kinna rekindling the spark of riding again. Maybe someday, but right now I just cant get past that thought of the risk🥲.
Just to answer your question of what is like to ride in the Philippines. Cant really speed that much since the roads are narrow and cities are so close together that you slowdown every 5-10 km. No speed limit but road conditions does not favor banking and maneuvering. I rode those underbones before and transitioned to those ktm’s. I even rode my bike to my wedding day😂. Anyways, much love bro!

I've seen a video of yours before and I had already thought you were a filipino because of your channel's name. Anyway, it's nice that you try to speak in tagalog which made me watch the whole video. And to answer your question about motorcycling in the philippines, I would say, this is the peak of motorcycling in the philippines. A lot of people now ride motorcycles because of heavy traffic especially in Manila. I hope you visit our country again. Kudos to your channel and ride safe! 😊
