WHAT IS DISCUSSED IN THIS VIDEO
Angle Closure Glaucoma can be very painful. It can also happen very suddenly, in fact, it is often referred to as Acute Angle-Closure Glaucoma. It is also a more serious condition that can cause rapid damage to the optic nerve head, and cause blindness. This video explains the angle of the eye, what causes open and closed angle glaucoma, and the main difference between open and closed angle glaucoma. Main treatments and symptoms of glaucoma are also discussed briefly as well.

I have a friend that is legally blind now because the first doctor that seen her didn't catch what she had. The doctor made her feel like she was crazy. My friend was so discouraged by the first doctor it took her over a year to see a different doctor. It's sad because if that doctor would have caught this she would still have her vision.

Hi there. Could you kindly let me know that as I've been diagnosed with glaucoma. I'll be having cataract surgery soon. After that will it be safe to have laser surgery to drain water so I don't have to use drops. Will appreciate your guidance. Thank you.

I had acute closed angle glaucoma in both eyes. It was painful. My eyes were red and watery. I had a headache but I did not realize it was an emergency. I waited 3 days. The only reason I went to the doctor was I couldn’t see my computer at work. The eye doctor sent me straight to the eye surgeon. I had surgery on my right eye that day and surgery on my left eye the next. It significantly damaged my sight.

According to my eye doc, I apparently had some different type of glaucoma called neovascular glaucoma, which is a secondary type of glaucoma where blood vessels that form due to ischemia clog up the part of the eye that drains excess fluid. For me, the ischemia probably came from the radiation treatments I got for cancer in my right eye when I was a baby. It has caused rampant neovascularization in that eye. Can you talk about that at some point? I’d be really interested.

After getting cataract surgery, frequent dry eye heat mask treatments, fish oil supplements, and regular exercise, my eye pressure is now consistently below 20. I was an extreme double digit myope. I now no longer take any glaucoma meds.
Wondering if you saw anyone else who could lower his or her eye pressures with lifestyle changes post-op? This didn't happen immediately after surgery either. I didn't make these changes until more than 6 months after surgery.

Yes I have... I have seen people make healthier lifestyle changes that causes lower eye pressure. But doesn't seem to work on everybody, unfortunately.

Can you use eyedrops for dry eyes with mild narrow angles? I went to an eye center but I did not get this type of information. They did not even tell me anything about archs in my iris. I feel I paid a lot and did not accomplish anything.

    • @user-xe5vn3dd5s

Lubricant or artificial tears won't affect narrow angles. So yeah, it's safe to use eyedrops for dry eyes
