The best thing about those days of my youth at this point i was 20,is there was no Internet therefore no social media, only NME,Melody Maker & Sounds, that and the fact music was 100% better is why life was better and people were nicer to each other,im afraid the world wont live much longer which is a shame for my grandchildren,😢😢
I love and miss you Dad, You were the coolest Dad ever. Thank you for all you did for me and taught me. I miss you terribly. I hope to see you again. Love Shon.......
Me too
My favorite Band in my life.
I was there...15 years old and somewhat high. Have never forgotten it....particularly Echoes.
You're are a lucky man, i've only been fortunate to see 2 Floyd cover bands, not the real thing. Both were excellent tho....
As I remember, the soundboard tape was stolen after the concert -which was at Wembley Empire Pool (not Wembley football stadium) - and hence why Animals and Wish You Were Here were delayed releases.
wish to fk that i could have been there very jealous
Brilliant. Came up in suggestions and I played it end to end. Perfect.
Brilliant. Simply Amazing. i will never get tired of Floyd
Then you must have the Pulse DVD. A must have for the Floyd follower.
Echoes probably the best song ever played on this planet!
And such a perfect recording! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Seems like Gilmour always did love to bend strings!❤😂😂😂
What I believe is the coolest thing that Floyd did was to play Minor melody under Dave and Rick's harmonized vocals and then change to Major for the rest of the verse. This was 1974. I would've been aged 11 by then and was just becoming aware of Pink Floyd's brilliance. My neighbor's at the time were Frank and Richie Bruno. They did the whole thing in the garage of Black Lights, Black Light Posters, incense, the whole nine yards. Couple of sofas. Beer, Grass and a kick ass audio system. That is where I became aware of many great bands. That whole period of time was Incredible! There were no smart phones, video games or computers. We had to use our imagination and we would invent games. The music was the Brain food that we needed in order to create with our minds. It was Freedom!
This is incredible.💯 Floyd is the best band on earth. Forever Floyd ❤❤🩹 heals the soul. Ty!

There is Pink Floyd, and then there is a large gap, and then there are whatever bands you care to choose, in whatever order you like.
The only dead set certainty, is that Pink Floyd sit some distance above all others.
@@pinkfloyd870 Naw, fer stuffed full of perfundaries, rhere wew the Doors. Sorry that you missed seeing them
@@briankorbelik2873 lol.... The Doors were not that good, and have been quite forgettable.
I deal in vinyl records, and the difference in sales, value and global fandom is immeasurably in Pink Floyd's favor, and the live performances are a completely different gravy.
Not even close, and a completely different class of musicians.
Sorry to anyone for disputing this, but this is 100% Floyd. Yes the arrangements are slightly different, but that is because of how they played shows with material before its album release back then (which I love hearing btw). Roger and Dave's vocals are perfectly clear however, especially at the end of Shine On when Roger says "Thankyou"
It sounds like Nick Mason on the drums (he’s Fantastic!)
We saw the “Eclipse Tour” that tried out most of DSotM but still went back to the Piper tunes
Absolutely them. The instrumental nuances give it away…then David’s voice…
Well, 100% Floyd for sure, but not really 100% live. This has been rearranged in the studio before release. For example, Dave would never play live that first low E during Time intro, letting Rick playing alone that note and starting the bar count.
Right on!👍
i was 3 when Dark Side of the Moon came out. Took until I was 15 to realize it was out there, now I'm 53 and have the entire PF catalog. Every day is getting shorter, never seem to find the time....
YEAH PINK FLOYD YOU ARE THE LEGENDS WHEN I WAS YOUNG I LISTENED YOU AND BOB DYLAN AND I STILL DO
Вообще-то не Боб Дилан а Дэвид Дилан !!🤔 однако да ☝
To be honest, a dream come true setlist and in soundboard quality on top of it.
Me transporta totalmente, Gracias por subir este video . Love pink floyd. The best band on earth
Must be off the soundboard. Fantastic quality and thank you for posting
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Thank you for this amazing quality of one of the most famous and beautiful Pink Floyd concert ever
So nice to hear early versions of the great albums 'wish you were here' and 'animals' ❤. Thank's for sharing!
Amazing!! Wonderful!!
My biggest disappointment in life was being unable to see Pink Floyd. This recording helps ease the pain.

I do admit, I only thought they were missing David Gilmore because of the soundboard.. until BREATHE; unmistakably his voice! Then TIME! His voice, his lead! Great stuff!!
Wicked stuff my man. Lovin' it. . I had this on a bootlegged tape in the 90s when I was 20ish. **This sound quality is pretty sweet though. 😎 Thanks for sharing...😊
Love it 🥰
Why am I listening to The Floyd 45 years on ? Because they kick ass, that's why !
The See Emily Play nod to Syd at 19:32. Just perfect.
In one word, amazing! Great sound quality for the time... Now if the Floyd come across this one, soon be gone ...Thx for the share 😊
😮.C'est merveilleux.C'est pour moi la version la plus transcendante jamais entendue.
Of course this is the real PF, in 1974 there was even not a coverband of PF in the whole world, that phenomenon came years and years later.
Zo mooi allemaal the best of the best😊
For all the good balls that don’t think this is Floyd! The only thing that may be a mistake is saying it was at Wembley. I’m not a Brit and don’t know if the spot where Wembley is was called something else at the time. Otherwise, this show happened and was recorded.
Pink Floyd's British Winter Tour '74, was a short series of gigs that November and December. They featured the debut of "You Gotta Be Crazy". Pete Revell joined as screen projectionist for the tour; lighting engineer Arthur Max was retained from earlier tours but fired after a few shows. Gerald Scarfe collaborated with the band for the first time, designing the tour programme.
The 16 November show was recorded by BBC Radio One and the performance of Dark Side of the Moon was later broadcast on the Alan Freeman Show on 11 January 1975. This recording is included in the 2011 Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here box sets, except for "Echoes" which was released on 11 November 2016, as part of the 27-disc box set, The Early Years 1965-1972 which make up Live at the Empire Pool.
Although the tour was commercially successful, with every gig sold out, it was criticised in the press, and drew a backlash from reviewers, including journalist Nick Kent. He reviewed the 14 November gig for New Musical Express and disliked the new material, saying it was over-long and unimpressive, and criticised Gilmour's personal appearance. A report in the Bristol Evening Post complained that the performance of The Dark Side of the Moon was identical to the studio version, "and that's something one doesn't go to concerts for".

Yes they are. I saw those names and didn’t remember. I believe these are the two main ladies. Good call, thanks.
Edit:
I just read that these two sang black up on Wish You Were Here.

Yes, with HP they were all on. I don’t like Wikipedia for much, but for something like this it’s pretty accurate. If you look them up on there they played on a bunch of stuff. Seems they were the go to ladies back then.😀
Great video. Humble Pie were so good.
I'm 99.9% sure this is the Wembley version.
Gotta love (any color you like)best version i ever heard, fkn amazing...1:32:10 that bass line is perfect, all the way.
Unbelievable as in 1974, they had already written almost all the best of their repertoire...
Not only that they were playing wish you were here live before the album was released and then work shopping animals. I don't think there's a band today that could get away with that.
I was there😎
Oh, Wow! WOW! Listen to Richard on that extended end to “Us and Them”!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😃😃😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵

I need that image of Snoopy! I've been hooked on Pink Floyd since 1977. Read just about every Peanuts book when I was growing up. These two together are priceless! Send me a link to the artwork if you can. Thank you!
Just take a snapshot... You are never better served than by yourself :)
❤
This is an amazing video considering it's a direct soundboard output. Perfect Floyd!!!
Ifanyone is still in any doubt, you can tell it is the soundboard (i.e. un-mixed tape) recording because the bass is disproportionately forward compared to Gilmour's guitar and everything else.
Yes..
❤❤❤
50 years ago, beyond their time
El solo en Shine On You Crazy Diamond todavía no lo tenia armado, hay muchas partes sueltas de lo que sería el que grabó.
2:04:08 ❤❤
You can hear with Gilmour in the second set why many call the Floyd a “jazz” or even “blues” influenced band. Personally, I think it is both insulting and futile to try to “label” Pink Floyd.
This is just so sweet! Fun , like a surprise birthday party. ❤😁😆😍
Awesome show. Curiuos if anyone has found any video of it?
I'm sure there's some footage out there, as soon as i find it ill post it here.👍
Phenomenal audio quality.
I have a feeling the show is pretty famous. I am assuming it is from soundboard?
Different, but they are great.

Well I don't know what's more scary, listening to how I'm going to get cancer and die a sad old man or singing about the apocalypse. This guy's got some pretty Macabre lyrics. I think I'm going to listen to the remaining half tomorrow in the daytime cuz I'm going to probably have nightmares tonight.
Who keeps posting that this a cover band? You guys don’t know Pink Floyd. It’s Roger Waters in ‘74. That guitar is signature David Gilmour. Shut up already about them not being Pink Floyd already.
I’m no pro, but I’m certain that’s Nick on drums.
takes me back
A sincere question. How come Dogs and Sheep are in the set list? "Animals" came 1977 and this concert is 1974??
cos they were written as raving and drooling and you gotta be crazy in 74 but not used on any album until animals with revised lyrics
@@briannewby Okay, thank you for the info!
In my opinion verse 2 and verse 4 in You Gotta Be Crazy is better than on Dogs.
I prefer the ambient style on YGBC too. The Dogs version is better for the 1st and 3rd verses as in YGBC they were far too quick and Gilmour inevitably struggled with the speed of singing.
I owned a bootleg Dark Side played live long before the Dark Side of the Moon was released. On the bootlog Time sounds totally different - completely different voice tones. They often played songs before the album was released.
Who are the female voices on TGGITS ? Is Katie Kissoon one of them ?
Bin my life of relaxation. Actually .ore bluez than acid rock I thought in 77
Definitely. And a genre unto themselves as well.
Yeeess
Who sings lead on those 'Animal' tracks like 'Raving and Drooling'?
If it was done the way it was if it was done the way it was on the album, Gilmore sang the first half of the song and Waters sang the second - I believe dogs is similarly done
I have no idea how these guys learned the structure of these early version of Shine On, Pigs etc.🤣 Did they have 18hrs rehearlsal sassions per day or what? Btw, here they're already playing some of the next album's songs and the one after the next.😂
1973 DARK SIDE OF THE MOON IVE NEVER BEEB THE SAME I WAS IN THE 7TH GRADE AND IT WAS BEEING PLAYED IN THS SCHOOLS MUSIC ROOM .DIDNT GET LUNCH THAT DAY

The lyrics Roger Waters sings for Sheep and Dogs are way different that the album version, curious... The album ones are way better.......
Anyone that knows PF, knows that this is real, minus the sound board.
I am wondering if Pink Floyd music is definitely linked to LSD ....
A whole bunch of those bands that came out of the mid to late 60's were influenced by LSD.
LSD is directly connected to Pink Floyd at their very beginning, Syd Barrett and others in Floyd used it.
When The Beatles admitted to using LSD during the Revolver/Sargent Pepper period a lot of other musicians
immediately wanted to try it. You also had Professor Timothy Leary telling people to "Tune in, Turn On, and drop out" basically saying you're all programmed robots and slaves to capitalism.....Wake Up!
No necesariamente, la música solamente ya te transporta a otra dimensión...
Only the early psychadelic stuff when Syd Barret was in the band. None of the others were into drugs apart from Roger waters who said he smoked hash for a year whilst writing Animals, after that he stopped. Curious that so many stoners love Floyd, dunno which came first, my love of weed or my love of Floyd.....
They reach all levels.,🤣🇮🇪
No anche Rich ebbe una dipendenza da cocaina dei primi anni 80 fino alla meta' di quegli anni portandolo all'esclusione del gruppo @@Fensta

Let's suffice to say I'm hashing out that theory now. Incredible sound. They usually sound like it's coming through a sock. Party on.

So, by 1974, they were pretty much done and dusted.
Yes apart from the wish you were here tour and album and Animals tour and album. Oh and I forgot the Wall album and concerts. And maybe not to your taste the Gilmour led huge tours and albums of the eighties and nineties. Yes apart from that done and dusted.
They were at or getting to their peak in 1974 so I don't think music opinions are for you buddy 👍
@evertonfc5380 I played through David Gilmours rig. It was beautiful. You could drop the guitar on the floor, and it sounded good.
not 1974

i love cover bands but this one sounds nothing like pink floyd in 1974 LMFAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This was definitely posted by someone in or around the cover band hoping they can say, “see, people can’t even tell”
I hope you’re joking because this is Floyd.
this Dream Theater, right??

No it’s not, get a clue. Not even close. I saw DT do DSOTM. Jame Lebrie doesn’t sound like this when he could sing and now his voice is gone. How old are you?. Have you ever seen the real PF?? I have many times.
Yeah.. they are more like the Carpenters
can't be Floyd in 1974, those songs we're not in the pipeline yet
THIS VOICE IS NOT PINK FLOYD !!!!! ...it's a COPY BAND !
Yeah I didn't think that was David's voice
This is most definitely Floyd. Shine On and Raving and Drooling is Roger. If that’s what you mean high voice. On Shine On Roger is singing the versus and chorus is classic PF harmonies and David’s voice is very easy to hear. David is singing including the Oohs on Dogs (you gotta be crazy). I think Roger comes in on the “dragged down by the stone” Like the Album” I’m pretty sure by this time they had a second guitarist and maybe some other backing musicians to fill out the sound. Not 100% about that. Basically, the stuff from Animals was still a work in progress. They always honed the songs live so they could go into the studio and not waste time.
Also, that’s a damn big audience for a cover band. Plus you can hear the vintage synths and organs. I will eat my hat if this isn’t PF. I know there is some suspicious stuff floating around the net, but this isn’t it.
Man that is so Gilmour on Breathe it’s unmistakable.
@@AudioAtmos No wucking fay ! listen to the voice in a softer ,less volume state & it's very clear ..IT AIN*T GILMOUR !
Just a record, disappointing
