While I liked the nurgle warriors I think the marauders and chosen of nurgle need a little more while they are not bad they are also not good in design uniqueness and visual design.
Does physical resist help against missles?

@@joshpeck9266 If you have 20% phys resist, and 20% missile resist, and 20% ward save, if you get hit by Empire Crossbows you block 60% of the damage, if you get hit by Glade Guard(Starfire) you block 40% from the missile res and ward save, if you get hit by Zoats you block 20% of the damage from ward save.
That showboating wood elf at 10:05 pulling the most chad move, literally rolling into the incoming charge and shooting an arrow, knowing he'll be saved by the net spell.

I love when people cast their losses. I feel like you're able to learn a lot more from a defeat, than a victory. Great video!

New Nurgle units looking better than I thought they would
Their color scheme matches the old aesthetic of death and entropy which I love. I still wish that the Nurgle Chosen atleast maybe had some intestines exposed or something, but they look absolutely dope.
They do look very good, if a little too clean cut. I can't wait for mods to make them look.... Truly sick.
I hope they add like a different kind of warriors that perhaps loose there armor values for higher defence and physical resistance. Have them mutated instead of going chosen u can make the normal nurgle warriors more "blessed" or give them blessing like with moulder lab that could make them more bloated and mutate there models more u bless them
To be honest I was worried they would just be a reskin of the normal chaos warriors. And to an extent they are but they do feel more unique than I thought they would
@@wrathin99 you are thinking of Putrid Blight Kings, Nurgle Chosen have never been portrayed in that manner in the tabletop
Also its highly unlikely we will ever see exposed guts in this game regardless of lore because that's too much gore for the game to sell in certain countries
I think a few of the glowing/reflection effects could do with a tuning down. It's kinda weird seeing Nurgle Chaos horses with Mountain Dew for feet, or Saurus armour shining like the fury of Chotec

Not many people talk about it for CA too notice.
Empire glow has been significantly tuned down by a reskin in the workshop which for me tells that this problem will be a community fixed one again.
@@loowick4074 It could also be a matter of importance. The glow is distracting, but it isn't exactly game breaking, so maybe they are now just focusing their resources on more gameplay issues.
Good to see one of the oldest old world races pull a win out on the forces of chaos. the last few have been overwhelming losses.

Small addition just my opinion, I think the Nurgle lord could’ve been used more aggressively to either threaten his lord or hop on some of those enemy archers along with your cav/furies. Yes he might get popped, but he DEFINITELY won’t find any value chewing on some 500g elf spearmen. I understand the logic was probably to terror route that clump to free up infantry though 👍🏼👍🏼

wouldn't starfire shafts be insanely good in this matchup? AP and fire damage counters both the heavy armour of nurgle mortals and any regen they might bring.

Xiphos one of the best wood elf/elf players I ever seen in TWW 2 competitive play, right with Felkon and few others.
Xiphos is the master at surgical Knife ear tactics, maybe to the chagrin of other players who hate kite style builds..but doing those builds effectively and winning is super challenging

I just noticed that the Nurgle Deamon Prince's tail is basically an elephant trunk, which means that he can sniff his own ass. Sounds OP. Nerf it, CA.
Its meant to be used as a direct feeding tube , not just sniffing

Oh I do love a good Wood Elf play. Really want to start one with the Sisters but that starting position is rough man hahah.
Its not too bad. They stack hawk riders amazingly. Make friends with a strong nearby faction and let them gaurd the healthlands(gift it to them for money and let them defend it).
I can't wait to see what kind of mods we get after the IE update.

If you get wildwood rangers, spend that extra money and get the Wardens of Cythral. They are so freaking scary to play against.
Chaos knights are cool and all but the twilight twins and the elves of the forest remains the only ones to give me a tree trunk.

I'm gonna need someone from the lovely modding community to create a nurgle-wood elf hybrid faction, living in some swamp. I'm talking poisoned arrows, nasty nurgle summons, vile corrupted dryads, etc.
I am suprised at how well the Wildwood Rangers held up there - i've always dismissed them as overpriced and underperforming. Or maybe I am just that bad at this game :D
They are for sure an odd unit but at 900 I think they have a very nice price for MP
They were fighting in a forest and they have decent AP and anti-large so they would do alot to knights. They are also immune to psych I think so you cant terror rout em.
Typically they do underperform, but that's more to do with the rest of the WElf roster than the unit itself imo
@@techelitesareadisease8816 yeah the woodelves have always had a really good roster even before their big dlc so its easy for wildwood rangers to not be as dominant. I find them incredibly useful especially when paired with treekin or branchwraiths. they also just look cool lmao
well in forest they are deceptively buffed. not only do they get charge defense vs large and +12 anti large bonus. they also get the WE standard +15% MD buff and most large units also get a -20% MA/speed debuff..
So fighting them in trees with cav is hugely different form fighting outside the trees.
Fantastic video: tried something new, I saw so many times when a spell could have devastated the Wood Elves, so I know he could have won with that build. Well played 🙏🏻

It's nice to see a faction that doesn't have crumble win a WH3 game lol.
I think there may be a tiny bit of balancing issues here. Even if you had got the charge in I feel like what you had wouldn't have been able to win. Happy to hear opinions otherwise.
Wood elf wins one game = balance issue. Chaos dumpstering 90% of the factions = nothing to see. Chaos in general need a price increase IMO.

I've been watching a lot of your replays and from the community and i always have the feeling that Khrone has low bodies count and they don't fare well enough to not have Magic. I mean Khorne armies tend to be a bit elite and i dont feel the hit enough hard for their cost.
So before this DLC i was expecting to somehow DEVS give Khorne a cheap trash unit, to go broad and i was expecting the marauders units (and the cav one) to fix the holes on their playstyle.
So yeah, do you feel that the inclusion of these cheap bodies fix khorne armies?

Nurgle really did get the best out off the dlc there units all look way better then the other god touched units there chosen while not as visually good looking as there chaos warriors in my opinion still look good.
There marauders still look better then all the other gods marauders by a fair bit they look like they come from nurgle both slannesh and tzeench just look like basic marauders with different colours while nurgle and khorne just look better overall even if khorne just reuses marauder champions still have no idea why they have no armour when the champions have 80 there literally the same unit.
But the chaos war shrine and the chaos knights do look amazing the chosen really should have had the badges like the chaos knights or at least have there specific gods marking on there armour.
Overall I still think nurgle has the best looking units my favourite god is khorne so abit disappointed when there khorne chosen looks like normal chosen with no differences apart from their helmets I’m hoping kidders take the armour from the exalted hero’s and khorne chaos lord because all the lord models are amazing and it’s a shame that they didn’t put that much attention into the units in the dlc.
I'm pretty sure the reason they didn't put that much attention to detail into the units as the lords is thats how all the factions are. lords/heroes always have more detail overall. both because they are more more visually important and because of performance of the game. also because there are 4 lords while there are like 50 units. so unless you wanna wait another year for the dlc to come out thats not likely
@@joedatius this dlc has been in development for over 6 months probably more the leaks came around the same time as game 3s release do you know what else took that amount off time to make? The tomb kings and the vampire coast so me wanting better looking units is completely warranted.
since they created an entire race pack in the same time period that it took for this dlc to come out and as far as lords and hero’s go I’ll have to disagree with that strongly there are multiple cases off the lords and hero’s being worser In quality then the actual units are you telling me that the lord magistrate‘s look better then celestial dragon guard or that the prince from the high elves looks better then the Phoenix guard? I think not.
the only reason they did this with the units is 2 reasons the first being they didn’t know if immortal empires was going to be a success with the feedback and the overall support that they’ve gotten back I think we can mark it down as yes it’s going to be a resounding success and reason 2 is that they wanted to stream line the dlc and just get it out quick so they can start working on other projects there thinking that as long as there called chosen and there helmets are different that’s fine as long as our other dlc units look satisfactory when there released witch is logical but me and a lot off people in the community are still disappointed and rightfully so.

A bit disappointing that the Nurgle Daemon Prince isn't using the head with the ugly one-eye. That head was peak-Nurgle as far as design went, and if you want anyone who is peak Nurgle, it's the Prince.
I don't like nurgle much but his mortal units look really good.

I know tah Zoats are part of the later edition rosters, but Zoats are imo not lore friendly in Woodelves builds. They belong in a Kholek Suneater build.
That'd make no sense, they've been good aligned creatures living in forests since 3rd edition. It wouldn't fit with their lore for total war to make them side with chaos

See how does Domination have anything on this. The jockeying, the back and forth, trading poking prodding before a big engage. Knowing you have to clear EVERY bit of value from your opponent’s side. No respawns no do-overs
its almost like they're two different modes with their own pros and cons.
Don't be so reductive over things you don't enjoy yourself. Domination has a ton of things going on too on the micro as well as having a macro perspective to manage on top. Both modes are good content

Of course Domination has tactics and interesting facets. In my opinion, they pale in comparison to a proper battle (no capture the hill points mechanic)
@@SonofKiernan I like the focus on microplays in land battles, but playing it directly.. it's so discouraging to play some matchups where you've already lost in your lineup cus you've been 90% countered by their build. This is a function I really like that Domination helps you with as you can have units in the back depending on what the enemy brings and how the situation develops. Having a capture-the-hill scenario also brings out the importance of speed versus the capability to hold which are often contradictory elements for a unit to specialize in (and doesn't come up for land battles because you can't expect to hold any ground at any point, movement is king).
Im just not seeing ANYTHING at this point in the IE map that doesn't just point to warriors of chaos nurgle aligned being hideously brokenly OP, every MP battle they just STEAMROLL through every opponent they come into contact with, their high health mixed with their WEIRDLY absurd high damage makes them just simply the best army in the game at the moment.

You lost because you over thought this whole scenario. They have ranged superiority and all you have is brute force. You need to decisively push the gas pedal and not stop. Split your "fast" units up carefully, but move them collectively so they are more likely to reach important units. It doesn't matter if your lord gets netted if all his ranged units are busy fighting dogs and shit. You can just heal him after when he gets into melee and can't get shot as easily. The sooner you get everything into melee the better. WE ranged units have way too much DPS for any other strategy to take place before they are taken care of. Going for lord snipe and terror routs is just gonna get you shot to pieces.
The average Wood Elf woman smells worst down there then the average Great Unclean One
