I'm pretty sure it's actually Isha the elf goddess of healing that Nurlge has imprisoned, not Shallya. (Though it is debatable that they are the same deity)

I hope they change the default raze mechanic for when chaos razes a city to something more akin to sfo as well as making the conquered territory become a small infested/corrupted settlement that is infested by demons, kinda like norsca, but with weaker default infantry. You would have basic marauders and cultists as standard and demons on a scale based on corruption level or some other mechanic. Also maybe some mechanic like the high elf influence that increases corruption for certain factions or areas.
Essentially, I want chaos to be able to control the map to a degree where small empire armies cant just waltz into territory you just razed 2 turns ago which often leads to you running around the same area for way too long to deal with the small armies. Also want to control the map without relying on skaven vassals, due to conflicting corruptions.
Also saw a comment mentioning no upkeep. It would be a nice change to have another faction with that mechanic. Maybe what you can recruit and maintain is tied to the level of corruption and or some other mechanics, like buildings or events.
I would LOVE the glottkin! It doesnt matter they were added in the end times because they really embody nurgle and are unique in their look and mechanics! They are truly iconic for nurgle

A cool mechanic for Nurgle Daemons could be that if you infect a settlement with Nurgle's Rot than every few turns it adds a unit of Plague Bearers to a recruitment pool similar to the Imperial Reinforcments for The Huntsmarshal's Expedition or the Raise dead menu, or if a unit of Plague Dogs is defeated then a few turns later a unit of Plague Drones/Flies are added to the recruit pool
Great ideas. Glottkin would be great for a Warriors of chaos undivided lord. Warriors of chaos are missing that forth lord and they would be a good representative for Nurgle. I agree with Festus and the Plague Father being the starting lords. I think CA is gonna stick to 8th edition for WH3 Base game.
Nah warriors of chaos need be'lakor as their fourth LL. The Glottkin should be one of the nurgle lords, they're not really chaos undivided in any way, shape, or form.

A slow, grinding approach to war sounds like Dwarfs to me. Imagine, an army of diseased, rotting dawi in rusted ancestral armor, toasting the Grandfather with flagons of rancid beer, weapons inscribed with perverse runes of rot, enduring everything the enemy throws at them with a smug, pus filled grin.

I really like the design and look of Chaos faction in Total war.. but I kinda hate how they implemented it. It's so slow and kinda unchaotic, were it should really have multiple factions of chaos fighting across the realm instead of this basically singular horde that basically fights the Entire map (more or less). I hope for Nurgle they can mix it up, maybe have something like.. Nurgle colonies or Flesh cities that can pump out Nurgle units (maybe even where an entire province gets turned into some kinda Nurgle plague city.
I'm not very familiar with the overall lore or how Nurgle works from a.. logistics stand point, but I hope CA can find some kinda novel way of doing them in Total war.

Kind of like what the flood was in Halo universe, flood were once pretty much old ones who aimed to be the protectors of all life, but after a conflict with super old ones and their banishment their hate merged with their duty to protect all life and so they mutated into the flood, a race that protects all life, but by consuming it and merging it with them... You think this is dumb but actually, this could be the easiest answer to all things that happened. Tyranids came from every corner of galaxy? These were the hiding places of old ones! Tyranids don't alter genetics of any other race but gather them , learn from them and go on? The old ones want to reform entire Galaxy but first need to kill all that could mess with them. Tyranids are really good when fighting with chaos? They obviously know it is the biggest threat to the Galaxy.

Wouldn't it be cool if the daemons of chaos had their own campaign? like you play one of the 4 gods and try to defeat the other 3 with total control of the Chaos realms, thats the "main" game and you start with no upkeep but you don't produce any gold or high amounts of gold, but lots of upkeep and the only way to mitigate or gain more money is that over time pockets around the old world open in different areas (places where you sent heroes to create cults and spread corruption) where you can try and squeeze your armies in destroy as much as you can for gold before you have to return to the warp. With that gold you gain to upgrade your patrons realm (nurgles garden, crystal labarinth, etc..) build bigger armies and then invade the different enemy god's realm
Essentially Total War Warhammer combined with the Chaos in the Old World board game... That would be pretty amazing, and give quite a bit of replay-ability. You get to corrupt and conquer pockets all over the world, while still trying to expand the core of your reign in the Realm of Chaos, and expand the Realm itself. Friggen Y E E T
Here is the thing, CA tried separate mini campaigns and no one wanted them, they preferred more complete rosters and was not willing to pay for both a mini campaign and a complete roster since many have complained a lot about the price of dlc factions so no we won't get that

It occurs to me that the victory conditions for the Chaos divided factions would likely involve hunting down and destroying the other Chaos divided factions, and then destroying the rest of the world.

Hey indypride, Love your video, and I had a specific question. You have a lot of battle music in the background, Some of it from age of empires, Dawn of war, and the warhammer soundtrack. Is there a list of all the music you use?
I had that same idea about the Chaos Lords striving for Daemon Hood. But instead of reaching a certain level to unlock it. I was thinking that, perhaps a mechanic should be available for each Lord where they would gain favor from their respective Chaos God that they serve as they win battles and defeat Legendary Lords or complete a certain quest or quests that they have been given to complete, and with this mechanic they would gain powerful artifacts or weapons or armor or blessings as they progress their favor with the mechanic bar before eventually reaching Daemonhood. Maybe there could even be a mechanic bar available for Exalted Heroes aswell. I mean they strive for the same ideals and goals as the Chaos Lords (more or less).
1:03:20 I don't recall every hearing of them having that as a ability on table top, I think it was just made for DoW 2, I do know that Blood Angels dreadnoughts (not sure about those of other chapters) had something similar for Vehicles only with the Magna-Grapples however GW re-worked them to no longer have that drag effect on vehicles they used to, which pretty much removed any usefulness, you can still take them on Dreadnoughts, but your better off saving the points for something else,
one other similar ability exists, within the Blades of Khorne army in Age of Sigmar that makes a enemy unit move I think it was 3 inches towards the closest Khorne unit, though effects that make enemy units move tend not to be to common, though I think it's a side effect of GW essentially "dumbing" Warhammer down in general, magic/psychic powers are way to predicable,
and in some cases with say the Primaris until very recently they had no flexibility compared to regular space marines, and even still they lack a lot of flexibility due to a lack of options on a lot of their stuff or heavily restricted options on others, case in point Intercessors who only really get to choose between Underbarrel Shotgun or Grenade Launcher and can't take any support weapons like a Tactical Squad can and Hellblasters who all have to take the same type of Plasmagun out of the three available,
while lack of options isn't as much of a issue for them as it was at the start of 40k 8th, it's looking like the trade off is going to be a massive unit type bloat for Primaris in the long run, though thankfully I doubt 40k will be getting a Total War game so in the context of TW:W we shouldn't have to worry much about having some 4 or 5 different units that effectively do the same thing but slightly different.

Chaos undivided sounds really scary, I mean you said it yourself.
Imagine a front line of Nurgle style units who are slow but durable, and have tons of staying power,
Add range and air support of Tzeentch that can weaken units and do strong fire damage,
Get some powerful killing units from Khorne who become more lethal the more they kill,
Round out with some cavalry of Slaanesh, who can shred their way through enemy lines.
Intimidating to say the least.

Now I want to see some changes to Warriors of Chaos. Where creating alliances with chaos gods build respective corruption meters. After maxing out a particular meter you become a follower. Giving you bonuses and demon units to supplement your forces.

I definitely think we should be able to get 2 or more greater daemons in an army. They are the centerpiece unit and it would be a shame if they are restricted to the lord slot, which is not even a guaranteed as a daemon prince should be better in some situations. Although I would make them heroes, as they could be more interesting that way from a campaign perspective and technically speaking the lord variant would be the Exalted versions from ForgeWorld.

Disease is already something the skaven can inflict in campaign. I think Forces of Nurgle should be able to do the same. Also, I think maybe the Demons of Nurgle should gain an army wide buff when there is disease (e.g. all nurgle demons gain +1 leadership in battle for each ongoing plague on the campaign map).
Also I think it would be good if in some circumstances armies that fight a force of Nurgle can in some way get infected on the campaign map. I dunno, maybe if the Nurgle faction wins, they have the ransom option in the post battle menu replaced with something that makes a surviving defeated army suffer plague or something.

I think a cool mechanic for the daemons would be the more settlements razed by a chaos faction. The more income a daemon faction gets. When norsca razes a settlement in honor of a certain God then that daemon faction gets more income only for that settlement.

I've been thinking that one way of getting the maggot riders into the game would be to have, rather than the named characters themselves, generic lord or hero Champions of Nurgle based on their esthetic, including the Pox Maggoth as a mount option.
Edit: How about a "Realm of Chaos" stance that would function much like underways or beastroads. This would offer battle maps that could give us a glimpse of the Realm of Chaos itself, and simulate the daemons ability to seemingly teleport around the world and avoid attrition.

Since we will likely get a separate roster for nurgle, CA will likely need to use forgeworld to fill the roster. Plague toads, pox riders, etc. Maggots are unlikely since they're endtimes and hard to make but that would be cool.
Why do you think it is likely we will get separate rosters? Based on their previous rosters? I am curious. I agree that it would be best, but I think you are setting yourself up for disappointed by expecting it
I hope it will be as with every faction of Chaos, unique models for mortals with own sorcerers and Lore of magic.
Each Chaos god has own models, animations, mounts, lore of magic etc.
Besides for the sake of Lord packs and rivalry theme, come on only Chaos Gods have biggest rivalry.

Khorne units should have high magic resist though so they shouldn't be vulnerable to magical attacks.
Bodvarr RIbspreader would be the best choice, considering that the only other option is Gord Lhulmagack, who was defiled.

I think Total War Warhammer 3 is gonna be the best yet with all the chaos demon factions now, Especially if they implement the demon prince idea you talked about like leveling up your lord from level 1 all the way to the end where you can choose to turn them into a gnarly ass demon of your choice. That'd be so fucking cool

Nurgle should spread plague if they control a spot that borders somewhere else
a cool mechanic could be "sending an insurgent". You send in a hero who causes plague in the province, but there is a chance he is caught (higher = lower chnace of caught). As long as he is present the plague gets worse (your opponent can't see him), but the more the worse the plague gets, the increased chance of your hero being caught each turn (just like how it is hard to hide nurgle worshippers in a city).
There should be a penalty to opposing siege duration
obviously posion attacks and regen (but maybe regen on lower class troops only when using epidemius' plgue tally)
I think most of the troops should have lower stats (except maybe melee defence and HP) than other troops but have an aura around them that makes enemies weaker. You could also make it cumulative, so the more grouped up your troops are, the more powerful the debuff gets (but also makes you more vulnerable to spells encircling, etc.
and we need epidemius who gives bonuses to troops, similar to tomb kings and dark elves as total troops are killed by your soldiers. (he's also mounted on a palanquin)
Imagine if Von Carstein armies get dimplomatic bonuses with empire whilst chaos invaded, representing the alliance.
I agree that demons should be only summonable after completing missions. For undivided, you should be allowed access to certain demon units after sacrificing in their name. So razing a single town to khorne grants you bloodletters, but killing a hero + razing a town in khorne's name gives you bloodletters + something else.
Should ascendency to demon prince be: you get a point to ascend but still ahve to complete a mission to prove yourself and should there be a risk of becoming a spawn as well?

i think having your favorite Chaos Lord turn into a Spawn would be incredibly frustrating lol, not sure people would like that very much even if it is lore accurate to an extent. but I imagine ranking up to level 25 or whatever would be proof enough that they can take on the gifts of Daemonhood. on par with the top tier mounts of other factions in terms of when they're unlocked

For the end times it's not that the character concepts for all the new chaos Lord's were bad, it's simply the way they had it all play out with the gameboard they set.
So yeah as fervently as I hate the end times a lot of new characters they introduced were very interesting and I would love to see them. It's just that this time I will not be lamenting the nerfs they get for game balance reasons.
I kinda want, nurgle to have diplomacy bonus, to clan pestilens. Awsome video. I hope CA watch these, and pick the best ideas.

Nurgle is also the Chaos God of mockery, and much of his humor and exuberance is to mock the misery and despair of his unwilling followers. And he also promises to soothe the misery of his followers, which causes them to dwell on their unhappiness instead of exercising some discipline and restraining themselves.
