I saw Alan in Knoxville a few weeks ago. I cried through most of the concert. It was a grand performance but as a nurse I could see his progressive disability. It hurt my heart because I watched my life through the music. My 20 year old daughter suffers from a similar condition. He was saying goodbye and he is so loved. I appreciate that he speaks for just regular people like us. My daughter, by the way, had an experimental procedure and after 2 years in a wheelchair she is walking again. I pray for this family. Pray for hope for a solution for this good man that represents an America that is rapidly disappearing.
Charcot-Marie-Tooth is well understood genetic disorder, and politics has nothing to do with it. This means that the best chance for treatment is early stem cell transplantation or at least genetic testing of embryos to avoid passing it on. I sincerely hope your daughter doesn't have CMT.

I appreciate that U remember all your fans at this time. Just shows what an amazing man U are. I too just received a devastating diagnosis from my Neurologist as well. It totally rocked my world. I have had CMT for most of my life. I was diagnosed at age 12. So I know what you are going through with this disease. Your concert was the first one I have ever been to. It was in Lafayette Louisiana. That was an amazing concert and I wish I would have had a chance to see you again onstage. You are an amazing artist and hearing that you suffer from the same disease that I have and that most of my family has had is mind-blowing. As other people have said if you have to go out onstage in a wheelchair and not be able to play your guitar is okay with me. And if I ever have a chance to see you onstage again it would make my life complete. You are a legend and an amazing person.
Jenna Bush was the perfect person to interview Alan and his wife. First of all, she's beautiful but I felt she was sympathetic, respectful, and understanding of their love of classic country music, his illness, and their life journey together. Loved this piece.
I truly don't mean it unkindly, but she really doesn't have a good voice for media at all. Listen carefully and compare, it's very apparent. She's not very attractive in the way so many TV personalities are. It really does seem like she got the job bc of her name, same as Chelsea Clinton did hers.
Yes, it was surprisingly good. I love Alan Jackson, and he has always been a man who wrote about life the way it is lived, so his music is personal. She approached the interview with insight and understanding, and she listened to what he had to say with real compassion. It was a much better interview than most you hear on the news. It's not about clothes or voice or any of that, all of which are more than fine here in my opinion. No, in conversation what you really want is a good listener, and Jen Bush is a really good listener. 'How I Do It' is right on the money.
Alan has been my favourite Country Artist from the first time I heard and saw him. His humble attitude and the beautiful songs he has written, and his lovely smooth passionate voice - how could you not love him and his music ?? Such an amazing talent and gift God has given him and us. I took my three granddaughters to his Red Deer Concert (my 3rd) about 18 to 20 years ago (they are all in their 20's now) they were so thrilled, as they were all raised on Alan's music! I have a video of my oldest granddaughter when she was about 20 months old dancing to "Chattahoochee!" she was/is so adorable! God Bless you and your Family Alan. We are ALL Praying for You! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💕♥♥♥♥
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story about your painful degenerative illness, the loss of your mom, your wife’s Cancer and treatment and the loss of Maddie’s husband in a tragic accident.

His outlook is similar to mine. To not want to complain about living with CMT bc frankly we are lucky that we can still flourish and live full lives. I am so amazed and grateful he spoke out about it bc I cannot tell you how much people need to be educated about disabilities and how much it is needed to have compassion, empathy, and patience with those who live, like myself, with physical disabilities. This is so so sad. I have a friend with whom for many years I was a lay preacher in our faith group and we traveled to many other faith groups playing our guitar and singing our own songs. He was a fantastic guitarist natural talent but not so me I had to practice hard but my gift was writing. He suffered from a similar condition and he lost the control of his fine motor skills in his hands before he lost the ability to walk. It broke both our hearts and after over thirty years of friendship we parted when he moved several hundred miles away from home. We met up recently and his voice is still velvet we did a tribute night for his retirement from his role in the church but for there only to be myself playing tore my heart. Stay strong Allan keep your faith shining trust in God he never closes one door without opening up another. Thank you for all the precious hours and memories you have given millions around this world. We will pray for grace, strength and healing for you and your family. Many blessings from a fan and sister in faith far away in Bonnie Scotland.

I actually was watching “You Can Be a Star” with my parents on TNN when he was asked to sing from the audience. I remember my dad saying, “Listen to this guy!” When I first heard “Here In the Real World”, I knew we had another star. Man, the early 90’s were a great time for country music. Hello. Abby Mitchell Thanks for the likes on my page and all the love shown as a special fan of mine, i hope you don't stop supporting and believing in me
Abby mitchell I agree with you about prayers being needed, so will be praying in agreement with you for healing for Alan Jackson. Mine has been diagnosed as Parkinson’s Disease a few years ago, sounds like the same symptoms but several of us seem to be contracting something doctors are having trouble treating other than trying to treat the symptoms. I’m praying for the Great Physician to step in and heal us all, as the medical community says there are no cures. Hopefully God will send the wisdom and cure, with enough prayers from caring believers. No offense or expectations to or from non believers, as we all have free will. I appreciate prayers from believers of all faiths bc we all grew up with different teachings yet agree there is One God. I am a follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ and accept the KJV Bible as the Word of God over other books, but to each their own. I love everyone without discrimination, including non believers. I’m just at the late part in my life, do not try to change anyone’s mind, yet am always willing to discuss the love of God, the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus and His return to Heaven so He could send the Comforter to us, my current companion. Please pardon typos as my vision is weak due to malnutrition but I’m back up to 83 pounds for now. Hopefully through prayer, Mr. Jackson can continue his works here and keep his strength bc my gallbladder went bad unknown to docs so long is why I became so small and gained 10 lbs. since that surgery last winter, so of course I do believe in science too, when applied properly. Just got a late diagnosis LoL. Hopefully his doctors will stay ahead of such things bc I doubt he’s Medicare reliant. Medical care is very important but prayers are too. GBU Sister. 🙏 Have a safe, warm winter.😊 ~

I started buying them from the very 1st time I heard U on the radio when U sang your very 1st song. It's a wonderful memory. Have attended several of your concerts. I appreciate that U remember all your fans at this time. Just shows what an amazing man U are. I too just received a devastating diagnosis from my Neurologist as well. It totally rocked my world. I've survived 3 cancer surgeries but God is good & for whatever reasons, I'm still here. You're Mom is such a beautiful lady. I cried of course seeing her b/c it made me think about my amazing Mom as well. I miss her every day of my life just as U miss your Mom. Thru my trials, I learned a lot about faith. I love all his songs. The funniest is the one with George Strait
My wife and daughters have it. My heart goes out to you. My wife is in constant pain and I wish I could take it away from her

Jenna Bush was the perfect person to interview Alan and his wife. First of all, she's beautiful but I felt she was sympathetic, respectful, and understanding of their love of classic country music, his illness, and their life journey together. Loved this piece.
No she was not we all know how she got the job
I truly don't mean it unkindly, but she really doesn't have a good voice for media at all. Listen carefully and compare, it's very apparent.
She's not very attractive in the way so many TV personalities are. It really does seem like she got the job bc of her name, same as Chelsea Clinton did hers.
I Love Jenna too. She is the best choice by far. She is Beautiful, empathetic, sympathetic and true. Her smile radiates the room

God Bless You Alan. I grew up listening to your music. My daddy and I used to listen to livin on love. I remember sitting on my daddy's lap and riding in the car when your music comes on the radio. In January of 2020 my daddy passed away. We miss him a lot we know who had a relationship with Jesus Christ so we know where he is.
Hello there Ashley nice meeting you here
Just a regular guy that has the same issues as all of us. Humble.
I am impressed with both of them, and that's not easy.
