The knowledge you acquire as a suicide survivor can help you save lives. I know this to be true after 2 years of grief therapy, reading hundreds of books, establishing a free lending library with over 200 books, five years of efforts that went nowhere, then help from Maize Hirono to establish Kauai's own suicide prevention programs, got newspaper to abolish rule of not printing the word suicide, out of the darkness walks on the cover of newspaper, Assist & Safe Talk training & so much more. My boyfriend died by suicide 20 years ago. Thank you Wynona for spreading awareness and shining a light on darkness. I have experienced people telling me I saved their life. You Wynona are saving lives. Keep talking publicly about suicide. Nothing you say will be wrong. It is all 100% right. Trust your heart. God bless you.🙏❤️

I actually came across Naomi's book about overcoming depression about a month before she died. And it was a wonderful book about how she overcame it all with family support and different therapist and treatments some worked and others not so much, but then how she died was so like she described in the book it was shock to me so how could I get so much relief from a book when she ended up finding the gun that she tried before to use and end it - really hurt because all her knowledge and research of how to overcome it was uplifting and then a month later the news that she ended it before her hall of fame celebration is was so hard. I needed the hope from her words in the book but then a month later she took her life - and so then I was like what do I do with that - it is really hard to understand, but then I watched the CMT Love Can Build a Bridge and some interviews and the Judds concerts and cried a lot and I felt the loss of the people she left behind to make you understand that if you feel bad you have to keep on for them - even when it is hard for yourself. I hope I can continue to feel that way - but I am sure Naomi kept trying to keep going for everyone else too. Sometimes it is so hard to keep suffering but you have to try for your kids. I haven't gotten past the I can't leave my kid behind not matter how hopeless or bad I feel about going on because of what it would do to him - although for myself I have the what is it all for or why do I have to keep hurting - but maybe there will be a grandchild or two in mu future - maybe something will come along to change and be uplifting. So I don't regret reading the book, and loved the music in the 90s and like most of us I will take what I can from her words and try to move on. It was an emotional read - and felt so hopeful for both her and myself after finishing it but then so close to finishing it she died and that was pretty raw. I don't normally read autobiographical books but I was drawn to it based on how I was feeling at the time. The only other famous person I read was one of Carrie Fisher and she died shortly after that too. So is it me? Although I grew up during Star Wars and didn't get the whole family dynamic until I was older. Thank you Wyonna for giving us this concert and being apart of your healing. I couldn't go in person but saw a lot of videos and cried and cheered you on. I don't know how you did it but it was amazing. I hope your family fills you with the love and support you need after this tour is ended. You are still a star. You are loved. And we are all amazed by you. Even if you never see this message - I am thankful.

Hoda, I noticed the present tense speaking of her mom as well. My mother ‘is’ a kind person. I suppose it’s similar to phantom pain when a person looses a limb. They often say my hand hurts even if hand has been removed. Those nerve endings still register the wholeness of what was once so familiar.
Wynonna is a remarkable speaker who always searched for appropriate words in order to project the best account of her situation and feelings. This makes he an enjoyable interview in my opinion.

Maybe you can work taking care of girls your granddaughter’s age as a volunteer after you get emotionally settled. You have a great deal of love to share!! So many people can benefit from your big heart!

What a great lady to think of the ones who are more vulnerable than the rest. To engage with them when they are zoned out or have no confidence in themselves. Imagine how that would make you feel to be seen and cared for. ❤ im glad there are people like you in this world Wynonna. 🌎 ❤

She’s such a beautiful woman and she was loved. She was loved so much, that the love her mom gave her, is what’s getting her through this terrible time. Her mom did what she did because her brain was sick, but not her heart. I hope her family will remember this. Love her mom and her family. Naomi did a wonderful job and made a life that was rememberable and great with the cards she was dealt.

Wynonna and Naomi are two of my favorite singers. The entire country music community is grieving with y’all. We love y’all. Thanks Hoda for helping us through with letting us hear Wy speak. It is not easy is the truth. The first outfit I bought myself with money I won raising money selling wrapping paper for the school’s concert band was a gold lame skirt with a black and gold sweater from Parisian. I wear black a lot. It’s my job uniform for years under whatever jacket they had. I love how honest her and her family are and listening to her say we all matter is the truth. I work with women everyday and relate to her story of seeing and feeling people.
