I always enjoyed tf out of it. To me it played like H2 just with sprint. I never paid much mind to the loadout systems
Halo 4 was always fun for me personally lol
I think people only focused on the negative comparisons, and didn’t give it the same chance they gave reach and halo 3
No fr, not to mention custom games of halo 4 and 5 were freaking amazing! So many cool game modes. I still remember all the recreation of creepy pasta games like baldies basics XD
I think most people have been saying halo 4 multiplayer would’ve received 0 hate if the name halo wasn’t tagged with it.

I enjoyed halo 4-5, the story was kinda wack especially in 5 but the MP was fun.
Not to mention the custom games! Will remember the baldies basics recreation to this day freaking awesome!

Honestly, Halo 4 and 5 were great, people just wanted More Generic Halo from them and that is not what 343 was interested in delivering.
The fact that they steered so hard for Infinite to make it so the whole Created incident basically got dealt with off-screen is so profoundly, deeply tragic to me as a storyteller.
They literally smothered the story because of community response instead of finishing it so their creative vision could be realized. Imagine if George Lucas did the same after Empire Strikes Back, which, at the time of its release and for years after, was apparently treated very badly by a lot of people until time made people realize how good it was compared to the other two in the OT.
We will now NEVER know what story they had planned for 6, because the community became so violently toxic that they pulled the plug on it before it was even finished.
Always has been, just had more potential than what was actualized.
