    One of the problems with these repro Army revolvers is the loading lever catch on the barrel can open the dovetail and come off, especially is heavy recoiling loads are used. It's best to epoxy the retainer catch in place to avoid this.

      Cattleman's don't have loading levers. That's why I carry those.
      Also, don't load over 30 grains with 44 caliber and that shouldn't happen.
      Keep it at 25 and there's no recoil.
