I literally just made this for my dad’s work last night! I love your recipes. I always check your website for a recipe before I start baking. So delicious! I was short on cream by a bit so I topped it off with eggnog! And I rolled some of them in crushed candy cane 🥰
I LOVE that substitution!!!
Wow ! The eggnog and candy cane sounds amazing. 👌
@@PreppyKitchen Both of My Favorite Flavors are Milk/Dark Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Truffles And White Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Truffles.
In Brazil we have the famous “brigadeiro”, a truffle made by cooking condensed milk, butter and chocolate. Pretty awesome.
Deixa os cara, eles nao precisam saber de nada do brasil nao,que coisa chata

I made these but doubled everything and used Jack Daniels liqueur! I used dark melts and it worked out perfect, I didn’t do the melt over the simmering water did my melting in the microwave. My final mixture made 30 amazing truffles! I used Cocoa powder, crushed peanuts and toasted coconut to coat them in! They were well received by my recipient! This is not the recipe I used but your other one you used with toasted pecan nuts! The easiest recipe I’ve ever used! Thank you! 🥰
How much liquor did you add? I have lots of nice ones, but I am afraid my chocolate will seize.
Gracias por decir que es muy fácil porque yo no hago casi nada con chocolate derretido me da miedo pero qué bueno que dices que es fácil. Gracias
We love mocha. So I would add some instant coffee crystals to the cream, before adding the chocolate and stir until the crystals are completely dissolved. Maybe add a bit of Tia Maria to the ganache.
Oooh that sounds SO GOOD, I'll have to try it!
The cookie selection at my house this Christmas is solely from your recipes. Thanks for your content, happy holidays!
John, I’m gonna make an official statement here. Being a chocoholic person that I am If anyone; and I mean anyone; offers me this assortment of chocolate truffles he would have his way with me no matter what. But if he offers them to me with nice champagne he would have do him anything he wishes for or wants. I hope that your husband is appreciative of the blessing of having you as his gorgeous man and chef. Merry Christmas to you and your entire beautiful family. Greetings from Damascus Syria where the Christmas tree originated from.
These are divine. Top tip - when using those moulds, once set, add some soft ganache on top of one mould, then place the other mould directly on top and allow to set. Then peel off the top mould and pop the balls out the bottom mould! Allow to come to room temp then add toppings.
I made dark chocolate ones. Added some peppermint schnapps and Mozart chocolate malt liquor. Worked great being rolled in dark chocolate powder and candy canes
I made the truffles today and added a bit of Cointreau to the mixture. The result was really delicious. Thank you for the recipe.
We happened to have all the ingredients at home and we made this recipe with chocolate chips and they turned out awesome! Thanks for the video!!!
These look amazing! Your videos have inspired a baking obsession for my five year old daughter! She has made many of your recipes and loves to watch your videos everyday. We actually just finished making macarons!
Thank you for the recipe! I prefer to roll all truffles first and chill in fridge. Less mess in your coating
I love this. It reminds me of making brigadeiro but when I make that, I have to constantly stir for about 40 minutes. I usually roll them in cocoa powder or sprinkles. I must try your truffle recipe.
40 minutes? How? It takes me less than 10 in the stove.
@@daisyo.6666 I use very low heat and stir it until it reaches a stage that when I tilt the pot to check the progress, it lifts from the edge.
I made these and added an orange cream bakery emulsion to the ganache for one batch and a cake batter bakery emulsion to the second. They both turned out delicious! Thanks for another wonderful recipe!
In Brazil we make our truffles with butter and condensed milk, I've never tried this way before!
BRIGADEIRO!! (Now I'll just wait for the other Brazilians)
Cara...deixa ele
I would try Jim Beam's "Red Stag" Black Cherry Infused Bourbon. Chocolate and cherry always get along with each other.
So excited to see your recipe for this as i was thinking of making them. Your instructions are so easy for me.
Thank you
Merry Christmas!
Thank you Sam! Merry Christmas!!
@@PreppyKitchen You are quite welcome! I am just seeing this as it has been busy after Christmas. I hope you and your family have a Happy New Years.
@@PreppyKitchen What kind of tools do you need to make these
Hello 👋 am from 🇪🇹 and I love your recipes they are easy and clear , I always try’s some of them thank you for making every steps easy and enjoyable
I like making these and then dipping them in melted chocolate. Nice, hard chocolate outside with silky ganache inside. So nice.
I just made your gingerbread cookie and cinnamon roll recipes with my 8 and 3 year old grandkids and we had a BLAST! I just found your channel this week and have watched 10 hours of your videos already. I can’t wait to try these when I’m baking for adults. Thank you for all you’ve done to spice up our holiday!
Your videos never disapoints. Every video you make is better than the other
It surprises me how easy it is! Also thank you John for explains things so clearly! I love all your videos
Added a little Cayenne pepper inside the mixture (not a topping lol). Delicious!. Also I've made these before using condensed milk.
I thought I'm done making Christmas treats and then I happen to see this video.. I luv your recipes John.. So now Im gonna make this too.. So much luv from Sri Lanka 👍
I add Bailey's and they taste amazing!!
John, I am learning so much from watching your videos. Thank you so much, not only just the great recipes and instructions, but your lovely personality and beautiful smile. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Love from Grandma Linda in Martinsburg WV.🤗
Love that you tell the metric measurements!
I absolutely love Truffles. Me and my Dad tried making them and we added Vanilla extract to the mixture. Not sure if it was that or we cooled it too long, but they went hard as rock. Delicious to taste but almost had to have a dentist visit haha.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I have been giving your shortbread cookies as Christmas gifts and they are a hit!
Lovely video mate and your energy is delightful. Thank you. Have an excellent week.
I threw the chocolate chips in my food processor and practically made a powder. Then poured hot cream in as it was running. Ran a few seconds until it was a smooth shiny ganache. Then poured the mixture in a measuring cup then into a silicone mold. Easy.
Hey John! I love your videos so much! I have made truffles very similar to these for friends and parties! They are totally the best!! Could you maybe make some more tea time recipes? I love having tea with my grandparents on the east coast during summer, but I feel like a winter tea party would be so fun and I’m in need of some recipes!!
Sounds like a great idea!!
I enjoy your recipes they are easy to follow and do, when you taught how. Many years.
I tried this recipe to make my partner some chocolates for Christmas and they loved it! I rolled mine by hand, but it was very messy and took a long time to harden. I think maybe it was the chocolate I used, or it was too hot? I rolled them in cinnamon sugar, cocoa powder, and dipped others in white chocolate and melted peanut butter chips. The dipping was risky since it melted the ganache, but as long as I was quick it worked pretty well! Did it look pretty and refined? No, but did it taste amazing? Yes! I had an easier time just dumping some melted chocolate on top of it while it was on parchment paper than dipping it directly into the melted chocolate. I put sprinkles on top to make it look a bit fancier, haha. Since my partner liked them so much I’m sending them this video for the recipe!
Right now, im making 5 pumpkin rolls with your delicious recipe! I love your channel!!!
Ahhmazing! Happy baking!
yum. i would add frangelico for a hazelnut flavor and then roll them in crushed hazelnuts.
Hola! Qué es frangelico?
Love chocolate truffles. They are so good! 🍫 😋 😋
The best!
I love making truffles & your recipe looks easier than the one I’ve used in the past-I’ll definitely give it a try for a New Year’s party. I might add a bit of Grand Marnier liqueur to flavor the chocolate or Amaretto. Thanks for all of your recipes!
You're lovely. Love your recipes so so much. Happy Christmas from Germany
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much my dear friend for sharing this lovely recipe 🌹💯👏
lovely watching your work 😍
And he has done it again! Another great recipe with some pro tips ! Thanks 🎉🙌
Cocktail sticks are great for keeping the mess down. 👌🙏 I am making these with my boys in the week . Just making sure we get everything we need , hence why I am watching you video. ❤️
Almond extract rolled in crushed peppermint candy Cane. So good with the chocolate
The only channel for the best recipes like these!
The recipe is awesome!! So easy to make, I have a question; did you say keep them refrigerated once their made? That is what is left over once you enjoy some after making them
Nice recipe. Instead of a double boiler, I melt the chocolate by pouring hot cream over the chocolate. I sometimes like to do a raspberry or Irish cream filled truffle.
Thank you, love your videos!
Also: Maple Syrup/ Maple Syrup Liqueur white chocolate ganache, dipped in milk chocolate, rolled in white shavings. They’re the best along side of dark truffles - basic semi sweet ganache, dipped in dark, rolled in dark shavings.
I discovered your channel and this recipe just in time for Valentines Day! A great surprise for my family! Thanks!
Merry Christmas 🎄 We all love you and your family 🎄☃️🎄
The sound of that chocolate being chopped is so satisfying.
Chili in the chocolate. A little just boosts the flavor, a lot can make a unique treat.
was already planning on making this to give as gifts!
Bourbon truffles are about to happen here. Thanks, John, for your easy to follow and fun to watch RUclips videos!
They look great and very easy. Just a small remark 12oz = approx 340gr. not 450.
Thank you! I knew it was off when my 10 oz bag of chocolate chips weighed 283g
Can’t wait to try this recipe, looks so yummy 😋😋
Hope you enjoy!!!
You make everything look so easy and it is! The way you explain things with your patients and manners thank you for all you do. Am such a fan✨💘🥂✨🌈🌿
Thank you so much!!!
@@PreppyKitchencan we use cocoa powder and sugar instead of chocolate bars
I bake your peanut butter blossom cookie recipe every year. It is the best!
Some crunchy hazelnut butter is nice with the Ganache aswell!👍
and i really want more video's with your kids! Merry Christmas and to your husband and kids!
you are SO 'LOVABLE' & a great chef toooo🎉
I made truffles for tge first time last night with amaretto and orange zest

4:49AM DECEMBER 24,2021 WOW NICE TO SEE A NEW RECIPE AGAIN AND THIS IS WHAT I HAVE WAITING FOR ... FINALLY I HAVE A NEW RECIPE FOR THIS EVENING FOR CHRISTMAS EVE THANKS FOR SHARING GOD BLESS AND FOR MY BIRTHDAY
In the uk we have a version of these called Rum balls. LOTS of rum in them. U can buy them from most specialist sweet shops in uk
I used condenced milk, it's so delicious 🥰 made it very gooey chewy 🩷
I think it's delicious with dried raspberry around too!!! I hope you try it someday 🫶🏼
Hi yummy truffles thank you. Quick question please, can you freeze the truffles already decorated with things like cocoa, sprinkles and coconut.
Thanks😊
When I make ganache, I heat the cream till just boiling, pour it over chocolate pieces and let sit for 5 minutes. Then stir. That way you don’t have to mess with the double broiler and your chocolate is at the perfect temp to melt!
Suggestion, you could use two molds fill them up and smush them together to make a round ball.
Can you make a party cheese ball recipe? I’m sure you would come up with something really good! looking for a really good recipe for New Years!
Your recipes are amazing !!! Happy Holidays yall xoxoxo ✨✨✨✨🙏🏽💕💕💕💕

OMG...Thank you for this video. I love your videos too!🥰
Rather than standing there Trying to chop the chocolate into the right consistency consistency I just throw The individual bars of chocolate into my food processor with is with the shredding blade.. Melts faster and is so much easier than chop chop chopping
John, I love it when you whisper to me.
LOL!!!
Made your chocolate crinkle cookies. They were delicious!
Your whispering at key times is so cute. Made me laugh.
Merry Christmas Happy New Year ! Thank you for your reels !!!!
