That huge-flowered Phal. is so cool! It looks like the same kind as some they have at Publix near me, but they cut the spikes short leaving just a few blooms I guess because the gigantic little bouquet effect really stands out on the shelf but I figured if you left the spike alone you'd get more normal-sized standard white Phals, but apparently it really is a gigantic-flowered variety! I see it's fairly exposed to the sun on the tree, is there other shade I didn't notice? The leaves look light, which isn't necessarily bad, but it doesn't seem sunburned. Melissa at Melissa Loves Orchids (Idk how to tag a channel) is in a similar climate with ours and her Phals on palm trees in what looks like similar light have what look to me like sunburns. Maybe yours are more on the north side of the trunk?

Thank you! 😊 No, I do not have a green house. All my orchids I grow outside in an open space. My potted cattleyas are under the roof eave, they are protected from rain, so I can better control watering.
