Ghost isn't serious with their lyrics and with the way they present themselves. They find it hilarious. This song is poking fun at Freemasonry. There's nothing subliminal about it. They're great musicians who are top tier trolls. They covered Abba on an EP, their singer used to pull out a kazoo to play part of one song live, those are just two of hundreds examples of how seriously they take it.

Ghost is actually one person who is an atheists and has created theater based on Masonic and satanic themes. Similar to watching the omen etc. and he makes awesome music. Catchy satanic music what could be better???

I love Ghost, they are a lot more Blue Oyster Cult than they are Behemoth, but their Satanism is more about the theatricality and for fun. It's fine if you take it seriously or don't, but you should know that from interviews they find both Satanism and Christianity to be ridiculous (a view I agree with). So just enjoy the music for what it is and expect that pretty much every lyric is a metaphor, never literal Satanism. Either way you should listen to a lot of their stuff, they are quite musically talented, especially the vocals. Sori is indeed beautiful, but Vin was correct in this case about that being the end of the song. But Sori was correct about Opeth.

If you aren't into classic rock like Blue Oyster Cult and Scorpions and Journey and such, you probably are never going to get into this band. That's what their music is more about than the Satanism angle. That's just the flavor on top.

I love how respectful you guys are to other religions. Like after when Vin said the Prophet's name he added"sallallahu alayhi wa salam". And the knowledge you guys have about all these other cultures religions etc makes your videos unique an very interesting. This channel has become one of my favorite channels.
LOL! Ghost is a theatrical band in the vein of groups like Alice Cooper or Kiss. It's about the show. They're actually a really funny group. Each album has had a different "Papa" (same guy in a different mask), the band is made up of "Nameless Ghouls", their cross is the Grucifix, etc. It's a whole thing. Their latest thing is they killed off all the Papas to display on tour and the new frontman is Cardinal Copia (same guy in a different mask, lol). So yeah, it's all show, theater, and fun. Plus some really good music!
Everything about Ghost screams "Soundtrack to a horror-themed Saturday morning cartoon". They have Scooby Doo levels of camp and cheese, but that's what makes them so brilliant. You guys are totally misreading this band. Behemoth's Nergal is a legit Satanist, but with Ghost, the whole Satanic thing is purely theatrical and just their gimmick. You aren't supposed to take them seriously, you're supposed to get a laugh out of it. I think you should re-visit them with the understanding that their lyrics are largely fictional.
The following is an example OF LEGIT Satanism in Metal. In 1992, people in the early Norwegian Black Metal scene committed murders and church burnings. Varg Vikernes a.k.a Burzum was involved in 4 burnings, but 28 Churches were burned between 1992-1995. The burnings were conducted both out of anti-Christian sentiment and as a rite of passage for people to gain acceptance in the Black Metal scene.
Even Mikael Akerfeldt wove Satanic imagery into Opeth's early albums (Orchid and Morningrise).
To be fair, according to Varg himself nobody was a satanist in the early days of second wave black metal in Norway, during those times (1992-1995). It was only a lable the media gave to the black metal scene given that they took everything quite seriously, what Varg told the press (with a tongue-in-cheek attitude) before he was taken into custody. The media needed someone to blame, and took satanism based solely on imagery and lyrics of the most prolific black metal band at the time including Mayhem and Darkthorne, Venom etc, and the interview with Varg where he pulled the journalists leg. If you listen to Burzum's music, there is nothing satanic about it. By the time Varg had been imprisoned he was unable to correct the wrong accusations of him or anyone else at that scene being a satanist. Of course today black metal is full of satanism, but not at the 90's. The main reasons for the church burnings during those days was anti-christianity, yes, but not guided by satanism, but by nationalism and right-wing policies. Varg himself is a advocate for nordic paganism and has always had quite nationalistic and pro-europa viewpoint desiring to make Europe into a homogenous society concisting only of white europeans and early pagan religions and practices before Christianity was forced upon europeans, calling christianity, and all Judeo-Christian religions ''sand-religions that destroy europe''. You can learn more by watching Vargs own video about this subject on his channel ThuleanPerspective, the video Satanism in Black Metal. Ps, sorry for the ramble, I love your choice of description with the Scooby Doo-refrence. You're spot on on that one, and that's the best part about Ghost tbh.

Well here’s the thing about Tobias forge who is the singer of ghost he is actually a really good human being. I say look at his interviews and you’ll see where he comes from when it comes to the band and what they are trying to do. When people come to their shows they want people to have fun. He also says that he’s open to anyone who wants to have a conversation with him about what he sings about but that all he asks is the person be open to having a thought out conversation vs someone saying what your doing is bad and at that point he says there’s nothing to be talked about. Also growing up he did go to a Christian school I believe and a teacher there was very very strict when it came to that and she always had it out for him which was then confirmed by another teacher years later when his kids went to the same school and this one teacher that was still there said that this one teacher was trying to get the other teachers to have it out for him. Growing up his brother got him into music like Iron Maiden, kiss, and others and he was told that stuff was evil it’s the devil. Everything he loved was the devil so that pushed him into that direction. The music is more about humanity and people. It’s also a way to poke at people who are strict Christian and believe they are good yet when it comes to practicing what they believe it’s the complete opposite. Also at one of their shows a fan died due to heart failure. The fan had previous issues with his heart and at the show it just gave out on him. When Tobias found out at intermission he cancelled the rest of the show out of respect for the fan. He told the audience that they would reschedule and finish the show for them and that only their tickets would accepted and wouldn’t sell others. They rescheduled the show for Halloween night 2019. The show in a way was dedicated to the fan and the fans family was in the audience but also Tobias had a poster and shirt made with him and the fan in Michael myers outfits and urged the audience to buy the poster and shirt Bc the proceeds of those items went to the guys family. So when it comes down to it I will follow the guy who sings about the devil but acts like a human vs a guy who preaches about god but tells people send me your stimulus checks to my church so I can buy a private jet so I won’t have to be stuck in a tube filled with demons. So Tobias acts more Christian and more open to different people vs people who say they are Christian and preach about being Christian but act completely the opposite.

They are also a very theatrical band and it is very inportant to see the official videos to have the whole experience.
On the other hand, I think they are not satanic, they make a parody of the "dark side" of the catholic church (lead singer names in different releases where Papa Emeritus I, II and III...and now is Cardinal Copia). As if catholic church is becoming the real satanism with all the greed, lust and everything...

I am a Catholic, Sunday school teacher, cantor...Ghost is my favorite band. It doesn't make me want to go out and worship Satan....the music is what I love. A lot of the songs..you could flip them to be about God. Hahaha. I think it's a good gimmick. No different than listening to Ozzy or Rob Zombie. It upsets some people and draws some people in. It's brilliant! Good or bad... publicity is publicity. To add to the first question....whoever edited the song looped the beginning of the song again. It ended where Vin ended it. I'd never heard of Ghost until I got my Iron Maiden tickets last year and Ghost was opening for them. I was expecting a mediocre band with mediocre songwriting, but Ghost killed it. They're amazing live. Their sound is so clean and polished. They sounded better than Maiden honestly. This was their opening song on that tour as well. It's all upbeat and really gets people stoked for the rest of the show.
Also, they're completely tongue-in-cheek. They're about satanic as... I don't know, Buffalo Springfield or something. Papa was constantly joking around between songs.
Maiden is my main, but ghost are great! And i don’t give a damn what they believe unless they are not racist, extremist, fanatic, and hateful.

Nergal and Tobias Forge (Ghost) are friends. Older ghost songs have more interesting lyrics. Again, not satanism but rather atheists exposing religious irony through language and in the case of Ghost, costume.

The members of Ghost said themselves that even though their music is based in religion, it isn't to be taken seriously. It is intended for people of an open mind to listen to and enjoy.
The lead singer literally ended a concert with talking about the "birds and the bees", and for whatever reason he almost speaks with a Spanish accent even though he is Swedish (last I checked).

Ghost is a theatrical "Doom Metal" band about satainism. The songs usually have an upbeat vibe while the meaning being super dark and about well... satainism. No one knows who the members are except the singer. And the singer changes his little character every other album, the person who he dresses as. It's actually pretty cool even if you don't agree with the religious messages.

Her reactions to the music are great. No idea what her story is, but it's like she's lived in a cave her whole life, and everything is brand new to her, and her excitement is palpable and genuine. New ghost albums are not trash and this is a good reaction to this particular song, they stated in many interviews that they want to be a theatrical band and move to the bigger things while still not moving from their original theme. They are adding new members and even backing singers to the band in 2018 and will continue to bring us that cool old vibe. Hail Papa (they are not really satanic it's all a joke on religion)
Juhaliza Ghost was never supposed to be taken seriously to begin with. The concept for the band itself is already so ridiculous and campy. The fact that they're embracing that and not taking themselves too seriously is something to be respected imo. Having to change your style is part of evolving as an act. Besides, they've never claimed to be 100% metal. That's the beauty of it. Merging pop music and 80s metal makes them a lot more interesting than if they just played what everyone else was playing.
Ghost is not a band for somebody who only listens to metal.

Oh trust me Ghost is a amazing live show. What makes them doom metal is the fact they can brilliantly write so within the realm of dark, and metal lyrics without having to be generic black or death metal. Its so theatric and consistent with the band as a concept. People who like Ghost are 99% not actual Satanists. They just love the catchy writing and cult like concept. Also if the devil would write this, than its on point lol. Ghost also draws inspiration from 60-70’s pop and horror films. Its probably one of the most creative and original bands to really hit the main market. Liking Ghost is like watching horror movies, because of its nature, you dont have to actually believe it but its really well written and executed for what it is. I mean you couldn’t watch a horror movie and than say Ghost is too demonic to like lol

In my head, this is the devil mocking these secret societies.
This part:

after the first part, this part changes meaning a bit for me.

this must have been their first listening of Ghost. I have heard them talk about ones in 2019 and are mainly fans now. That is so great.
If you guys decide to do more ghost you definitely need to check out year zero, monstrance clock or guleh/zombie queen. But as you guys may have noticed they definitely play up a Satanist gimmick so as Christian's I'm honestly not sure if you'll like any of it. But if you can put the Christianity aside for a moment and appreciate it for the artistry of the image they are trying to portray it's all very good

I did think it was interesting when you two were noticing be upside down crucifix in the band logo. I believe the only biblical reference to an upside down crucifix is when John the Baptist requested to be crucified upside down, because he felt he did not deserve to die in the same manner as Christ. Other than that I don’t think there is anything, any biblical sense, that references an upside down cross. I posted this comment on an earlier, but decided to re-post it here. Anyway, I think Vin would really like this next band. They're called The Ocean (formerly The Ocean Collective). They have six albums out and their discography so far is composed of sibling sets... So like Aeolian/Fluxion, Precambrian, Anthropocentric/Heliocentric, Pelagial (arguably the sister album to Precambrian).
Anyway, this band explores some pretty intricate ideas. For example: Pelagial is a self-titled record in all ways but name, because it showcases the band exploring, well, the ocean! lol Each song instrumentally depicts a depth zone, descending downwards from the surface Epipelagic to the black Benthic, the deepest zone of the ocean, where no light shines. The music gets heavier, more dense, and claustrophobic as well during the descent, while the lyrics revolve around an introspective dive into the conscience whose objective is to find The Origin Of Desires.
I consider Pelagial to be the sister album to Precambrian, because the instrumentation on the latter record depicts the formation of the Earth and the lyrics discuss The Origin Of Products. Where Pelagial is fluid and watery, The opening act of Precambrian (wherein the songwriting revolves around the Hadean/Archaean Eon) is dense, turbulent, fiery and tectonic.... literally the soundtrack of a formless planet. However, the pacing of the instrumentation slows down during the second act, which revolves around the Proterozoic Eon (wherein the Earth cooled and solidified). The band are currently following Pelagial up with a double-album, called Phanerozoic I & II, which are going to continue in the geologic vein of Precambrian.

I had this song stuck in my head during my entire 8hr shift last night. I still can't get enough. Sooo catchy!
My husband and I saw these guys open for Avenged Sevenfold. I thought they looked scary but they sounded good. Then I paid attention to the lyrics and it scared the shit out of me. I kept googling them and crossing myself and my husband finally told me to wait out in the corridor. I admit, I flipped out. We laugh about it now, but at the time I was scared to death.
Honestly hearing the song after the hype reminded me of the Spinal Tap "our deflated master" thing on the Simpsons.
(Spinal Tap, the band, makes a huge set dressing of the devil on stage above the band. But then during the concert it springs a leak and they end up saying "kneel before our deflated master" etc)

New Microphone Hype!
I already can tell, that there is some difference in the audio quality from your voice-overs! Especially in Vin's voice you notice a huge difference!
Some tweaks are still needed though, guys ^^
I paused the video in the beginning to make out what microphone you bought. It's the Blue Raspberry, right?
Another viewer here already suggested Audacity as software to record your voice-lines. That's the way to go!
So with your microphone and Audacity in place, there are 2 key factors you should now focus on to adjust 1 major thing - the decibel level.
Factor 1) On the side of your mic is a tuner for microphone gain. You should have that at around 50%.
Factor 2) On the upper right side of Audacity is a Microphone symbol with a volume-tuner next to it. Lower it down to 50% aswell.
When you now hit the record button (red dot) in Audacity you should focus on the decibel level displayed at the top of the software.
It should never peak at the right side. Even if you scream from a normal distance towards the mic.
Try adjusting these 2 things and try not to get the sound volume too low. Keep it at a nice medium and I promise you, there will be no crackling-sounds!
I am not sure how you record, but usually you should be working with 3 things -> 1 Video File (with audio), 1 Audacity Audio File and probably 1 Song Audio file. Most streamers/youtubers have 2 audio lines. One from the camera (video source) and 1 from software like Audacity. The original video sound gets muted and is only existing for backup purposes ... in case that something happens with the audacity audio line.
To get audacity to give you the audiofile you simply click on File -> Export ... -> pick file-format of preference :)

man i had the exact the same reaction when i first listened to this song, seeing you guys dancing to this song was priceless. Also the analysis of the lyrics was pretty insightful as aways, that comparison with behemoth and how the devil would definetly write a song like this one was SPOT ON hahaha. And not to discourage you guys from keep diving into this band... but the rest of their stuff is not superior to this in my opinion, very minimalist musicianchip, and kind of childish lyricism about the devil.

Bryce Lorton having an F5 to E5 chug in the verse doesn’t mean you ripped off Symphony. Do you know how common that little riff is? The rest of Ritual sounds nothing like Symphony, and that’s not even accounting for how the vocals are nothing like Dave’s, in rhythm, delivery or melody.
Ironically this song became their first #1 record in the US. 🤔

I’m sorry but reaction videos to metal are getting really fucking annoying. I respect Lost in Vegas because they are unbiased and deconstruct the music and actually say if they like it or not. But what happened to listening to the music. Discovering a new band and buying the album and getting submerged into the contents of the bands message. I am a proud metalhead and I am just baffled that people who don’t even like the music are turning to make these types of videos for profit. Rant over. Have a nice day.

I appreciate that you are expressing yourselves by posting this video, however please listen to the music if you enjoy it, and if metal is not your cup of tea, then listen to other genres. And if you keep doing these videos that I know you will, keep an unbiased opinion.
I don’t know how much you know about youtube, but if you post a song straight through u ususally get copyrighted by the record label. Then all the commercial revenue goes to the band and RUclips not the creator. That’s the reason a lot of channels interrupt every ten seconds or not play the song in total. We play it straight through and get scooped by copywriters all the time. So um nah bro, we’re not profiting off this.

Ghost are pretty much music's equivalent of old Hammer horror films, way more tongue in cheek than behemoth.
I wonder if Vin and Sori's opinion of this song has changed at all after hearing so many other Ghost songs and seeing how talented Tobias is. This was the first Ghost song I ever heard and I loved it so much that I bought it on iTunes.

If you haven't, I'd love to see you check out "Panic Room" by "Silent Planet". They're definitely one of my top bands for their powerful lyrics and topics they touch on. I also love the vocals and music.
Their videos they always have references in the description to elements that were used/inspired the lyrics. They have a Christian background, and often draw from biblical sources in their lyrics.

My opinion of Ghost is they are mainly mocking the Catholic Church which I think is hilarious. Numerous times nameless Ghouls have come out and said they aren't satanists. Yes they do use some "Unholy Imagery" but it's all for show.
