Former Semi tractor(lorry) mechanic here and I say these would be perfect for a person to work on the semi engines. I had to crawl up on a tire to add oil, water and anti-freeze. Even when doing a thermostat or head and injector work. These would have been a blessing.

Really? Because I've always thought about making inline skates that have the ability to convert the frame into a flat shoe bottom. I'm not really fond of those skates that are basically a shoe instead of a liner that attaches to it, seems like a solution that sort of kills a lot of power transfer and such.
Why don't you add an extra line of rollers (per foot) connected to an internal motor that gets its energy from the primary line of rollers that you push? So when you've switched feet the motor takes over to continue acceleration/push on those wheels. Hope it makes sense The other option is to make the whole thing electronic like an electric bicycle

It all depends on how you want to do it. It could be possible to have something that pishes while you push, increasing the push stronger.
Really? Because I've always thought about making inline skates that have the ability to convert the frame into a flat shoe bottom. I'm not really fond of those skates that are basically a shoe instead of a liner that attaches to it, seems like a solution that sort of kills a lot of power transfer and such.
Why don't you add an extra line of rollers (per foot) connected to an internal motor that gets its energy from the primary line of rollers that you push? So when you've switched feet the motor takes over to continue acceleration/push on those wheels. Hope it makes sense
The other option is to make the whole thing electronic like an electric bicycle

Using air could cause some trouble, especially if you're trying to walk when not fully extended.
