- The 2 Stroke bedside lamp is every mans dream surely, in fact anything 2 Stroke is a thing of dreams so why not a Lamp.
So I've sacrificed a chainsaw to create a Steampunk masterpiece.
Demo video will be out tomorrow as needed one night shot.

A CHAINSAW POWERED TABLE LAMP!! I mean come on who wouldn't want one of these, I actually think you could see these as art pieces if not just for fun but no idea where you'd get another lamp like the one a made it from. I've made a video of me messing with it which will be out tomorrow (Friday) as got lent a car by Ford so I don't destroy my own tyres muhahaha. SUBSCRIBE PEOPLE its always like this.
colinfurze yeah you are nice video
colinfurze i wuld want one
你好牛🐮
WoW, I want it!
colinfurze I want one for Christmas
At first I wondered why this was a thing. But then he explained that lamps aren't manly enough and you know what? He's completely right.
Electronic lamp? Pussy
Petrol powered lamp? Slightly better
Nuclear powered lamp? Yes.
Why not power it ya self
True
There were experiments about the nuclear one in Japan, they decided it isn't the right answer after two flashes
Ernest Y I recommend giving "nuclear light bulb" a Google
Loving the fact that you are coming "back to the roots", with those "silly little inventions" we all love!
His big invention are good to
@AnTrAxX Slingshots
Totally agree. His huge projects like the AT-AT were damn cool, but it's the silly stuff that we really love.
Yeah I see it the same way. Even though the big projects are cool, there is just more heart in the little silly stuff. And we get to see more of the fabrication which I always enjoy, it comes with the feeling that you could go into your own shop and make something similar just for shits and giggles
Exactly, this is the kind of stupid shit I subscribed for, lol.
Yeah, I love it more than 'pool car' project. Just my two cents.
The core philosophy of Colin. Taking things that work perfectly fine on their own and combining them to work less fine in a way the were absolutely not intended. Perfect I love it.
Looks like an excellent prop to be used in a post apocalyptic game like fallout.

[equip] Chainsaw Lamp
2018 everbody discussing gender equality and how to not trigger someone.
But there is Colin checking his balls to justify his 2 Stroke lamp.
Niiice
Boo SJWs! Did I scare ya? Fuck off man why is gender equality a bad thing lol
Theerolis I love triggering those fuckheads! My favorite thing to say to those gender confused dickweeds is..... You don't identify with a gender but I identify you as a snowflake! LMAO
Leon Byrne I got the joke, just think the implication is stupid and unproductive. As you can see our boy John Hannon got what he wanted out of it lol
Can we just watch this guy make a chainsaw lamp without political discourse? Please??
There are only two genders.
Neighbour knocks the door... "Hey Colin, what's all that racket?"
Colin: "Just reading a book before bed"
Neighbour: "Okayyyy" *Walks away slightly confused*
Jay Jay
Is "making a chainsaw lamp" better?)
No. Post build scenario.
"Science isn't about why, it's about why not!" -_Cave Johnson_
I read that and then I re-read that in his voice, thank you for this memory
We're done here !
@JetFPV E-Sports He got the likes though
when life gives you lemons dont make lemonade. make life take the lemons back! get mad! i dont want your damn lemons what the hell am i suppost to do with these!? demand to see lifes manager! make life rue the day it thaught it could give Cave Johnson lemons! do you know who i am? i am the man who is gonna burn your house down! with the lemons! im gonna get my engineers to make a combustible lemon that burns your house down!!!!! (thats from the top of my head)
@@demijne9 Yes
I love how Colin can take two very practical useful things and make something stupid awesome and manly
Man: Do you sell petrol lamps?
Cashier: Are you crazy that's impossible
colinfurze: Hold my beer!!
Evor its called a coleman table lamp. Fuel burning lamp.
Evor well, there is kerosine lamps around🤷🏽♂️
haha indeed... he will fix that
hahaha
"do you mean an oil lamp?"
"nope..."
YO I AM DIEING
"To power it, we have the old chainsaw of course!"
Ah yes, I can relate, I remember my college years when my dorm's ceiling fan was powered by a full size V8
Bit hard to fall asleep back in those summers. Can definitely relate.
I live in Europe, so we only had inline 4, but I can relate.
Builders: Who are you?
Colin: im you except without health and safety rules
Don't you mean engineers
a lamp powered by a chainsaw?? that's so pathetic *gets a beer from nuclear powered fridge*
Can we get 5000 subscribers with videos?
Sounds like fallout to me
flamingo
Well that makes sense being that those refers were made out of lead lined construction just like in the movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. They're Nuke Proof!
Totally science bro!
Nuclear reactors make a lot of heat so more likely to be an oven
@@dietznutz1 So do compressors, but if you compress the right substance, as it decompresses, it gets very cold!! This is how fridges work! :D
Went off this channel with all of the 'sponsored big builds' but I came back to see what has been going on and I'm so happy there are these old style videos again!! Roots are always strong
yessss exactly
Yeah I literally haven't watched any of the big builds, just doesn't do it for me.
its good to have a mix I think
The big builds were epic mate. A mix is always good. I'm just glad your making stuff. This was beautiful. I would go as far as to say art. When's the museum exhibit?
Scotty Cranmer I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!!!
Watching the smaller projects are so much more exciting to me. I learn so much from watching you make metal plates and fittings. Its beautiful!
Do It With Dan yes r kid how are ya doin
Sup Dan.
Dan quick question so a friend has never ridden and is getting a liter bike how fucked is he? On a scale from 1 to 10
i never knew dan watched colinfurze videos haha
@@nelsonglover3963 no he had it for a summer almost got ran off the road three times and sold it after the third and made $300 profit on it
I always like steampunk devices that look that way because they actually use those parts to work, as opposed to having random bits attached to something very generic inside, no matter how artfully. This lamp's clever design and build quality makes it look like it's been made by a company that also makes motorcycles in an alternate reality where power stations do not exist because either there is not enough people using electricity or they were destroyed by a worldwide disaster or war, rather than something hacked together at home. It would fit great in a post-apocalyptic game like Fallout or a movie like Mad Max.
Now... that's actually a fu**ing piece of art!
I was reading XD Now... that's actually a fu**ing piece of s**t
@@KawasakiMotoX2T okay boomer
OUTSTANDING, LIGHT HAS NEVER BEEN SO MANLY!
Isn't having a plasma CNC table wonderful!? It makes making brackets soooooo much easier! And everything looks so damn fancy =)
I should do a steampunk project at some point...
its a life changing tool for sure
yes you should make a steampunk project you could make a clock but instead of chiming on the hour it could fire a rocket or something else that is loud and explosive
the Hacksmith this is amazing maaan two really famous RUclipsrs in engineering commenting 💯💯💯💯🔥🔥
How about a steam punk railgun?
hello Hacksmith
I love the groovy music selection in this build! Found myself bobbing my head and humming a long more than once, which gets some funny looks during Mass...
What an excellent idea for a bedside light. Keeping one hand on the throttle you can use it for a bit of reading, remembering to 'blip' the throttle when you need to turn the page over, then get a great night's sleep when the exhaust fumes render you unconscious, then as it ticks over in the dark it will keep you asleep until the fuel runs out. Perhaps you could fit a larger fuel tank to help you get a lie in at the weekend?
5:03 I love that little ring.
*"FREE AT LAST! THEY'LL NEVER CATCH ME! **_FREEDOM!!!"_*
You go, little buddy. Be free!
wondered if anybody commented on that... did not have to look very far : ]
Haha I thought he had a “wedding” ring with this inscription, fuck it, I’m going to a jeweler getting myself one!
what is the name of this song?
Even when you run out of content you can come up with something that seems like you haven't run out of content... respect
is that a dig or a compliment I'm not sure haha
colinfurze Compliment, 100% compliment :)
i never knew how much i needed a lamp before i saw this video
As a diesel owner an steampunk lover this is quite the crossbreed between the two an i love it!! Colin i want one for my shop, absolutely brilliant
I would like to see a 2 stroke vacuum cleaner. 😊
what about a leafblower?
2 stroke microwave
450CC 2 Stroke vibrator dude!
2 stroke generator + vacuum cleaner + tape. easy.
ohyeahtotally08 no the electric motor would be replaced😑
"Bedside table lamp"... you're the best!! Absolutely the best!!!!
I work on a small engine repair shop, Stihl dealer and when I saw the clutch with no bell before he started it, I thought he was going to cut the video and remove it, but then boom!! haha made me laugh so hard! Go Colin, youre the best!
I just found this channel last month and it has consumed my life.
In the event of a zombie apocalypse i'm living with Colin.
I appreciate every single thing you make . It’s crazy how many people don’t actually no what it takes to do something like this . The time and the thought that goes Into it . Good job man . Keep up the awesome inventions . Make me want to go make something
I love how you bring every idea, to life, with so much charisma!
This chainsaw lamp was a bright idea indeed.
Steampunk?! It's dieselpunk, mate!
"We're using the CNC, we're cheating a bit"
Tools don't make you better, they just make you quicker.
debatable, For example a hacksaw and a circular saw do the same thing, But my cuts are a hell of a lot straighter with a circular saw, and some tools do the same thing but require different skills to do that job, A cnc machine I'd imagine this varies, But I know some use cad to tell the machine what to do, And the machine does it very accurately, Where as with a plasma cutter instead of being skilled with cad you have to be skilled with plasma cutting, And you won't be as steady. You're welcome for the essay you didn't expect nor want.
perfect response
beastm0de7, I found I can get a good straight cut but stone me it takes effort with hand tools. I'll have to jig it up, or just take my time. I take out a track saw though, buzz, done.
My uncle taught me something in his garage when I was a young boy it's two quotes I live by till this day when making something: "work smarter not harder." And "don't do the tools job for it; when you use it correctly the tools does most of the work for you."
that's not true in the case where you aren't directly using the tool; you can download a model and cut it out without ever doing any real work, aside from downloading it and sending it over to your cutter
yes it does the same thing as some other tools, but there is no human element to using it unless you manually change the settings on how the thing cuts.
I am not sure what impresses me more anymore: him actually making a chainsaw powered lamp, or him looking at a lamp and thinking to himself "Why is there no chainsaw underneath powering it up ? Why is it so quiet ?" and then coming up with that idea.
Back to the classics. Beautiful.
The most Colin video in existence.
Colin I think you should make a two stroke pogo stick now that would be something
Forget steampunk, this is actually brilliant.. At first I was skeptical, but my goodness man.. Awesome job done. I'm blown away on this one.
This may be one of my favorite ones you have done. I can't wait to see you top it.
use the exhaust as a fan !
That really would be the manliest fan in the world, having it pump two stroke exhaust in your face, but a fan running off the same belt might be more practical, and help with the voltage spikes too
While a fan running off the electricity from the belt might be more practical, practicality isn't manly.
no as a heater
omg, best idea ever!
sam rowland i think The best way to add a fan functionality to that lamp would be to mount an exhaust gas powered fan, which is gonna act a bit like a turbocharger (except on the other side of the shaft would be a fan)
Who needs electricity when having acess to gasoline!😂
Love it! Great work!
Wow! nice steam punk 2cycle lamp. You gotta love that!
I'm in love with this lamp.
I love lamp.
Loud noises!
Put the toggle switch as close to the hot muffler as possible!
Lol
4:03 What a fantastic and gorgeous welding shot. So satisfying.
The two stroke lamp... too good. Cheers sir.
I’m a man! Even better Colin! YOU’RE AN ENGLISHMAN!!!
"Hey can you bring some fuel for my electric lamp?"
Friend: "Ummmm????"
"... & so was the thermite launcher." Just by way of casual conversation - informational tidbit is offered up like an observation regarding the weather then right on to the next thing! Awwww God, I'm *DYIN'!!!!!* XD
I have never seen so manny tools in 10 minutes of footage. Insane
Imagine walking down the street and hear him screaming in his shad and going "Oh, there's that chap Colin" just a normal day
Where is the dad version of the jet scooter
He said it would not come right now, he first had to finish some smaller projects (like this one), make a 6 million subscribers video, and then make the jet scooter
I love the steampunk look it has
My favorite build you have ever done. You have outdone yourself.
Year 2085: "Ah yes, a classic Colin Furze lamp. These were only made in low numbers so they are pretty valuable today."
5:04
Washer: "my people need me"
You sir are MAD! Love your work..
GEEEENIUS thanks for sharing maaan !
Love your vids keep up the great work
In moet poepen
Ok😐
Yoshi Monda 😂😂😂
Colin, not like you weren't already but now that you've pronounced it 'CENtriFUgal force' rather than 'cenTRIFugal force' you're even more my hero 👍
English English, the proper English.
CENtriFUgal Furze
Minus the part where it's not an actual force...
Great stuff Colin! Crazy and fun as always!
Well, I've never seen a video start quite like that before... IT'S GLORIOUS!
I bet your neighbors love you colin
So many details Colin ! So many details of creative in this project ! I love it ♥️
I want one! And the music in this video was AWESOME.
lmao I love the on off switch like you'd have the thing running but the light off.
Every "Free Energy" video be like...
Is there a tool you don't have? XD
I believe he doesn't have a hydraulic press. But yeah, he does seem to have most of everything that is sensible and can fit in a small workshop.
Colin *is* a tool so he's already got every tool he could ever need! ;)
well not a chainsaw anymore, obviously
Mini digger??!!
Restraint. He doesn’t have any of that.
That is quite some nice crafting.
THAT IS BEAUTIFUL Colin
You should make a new musical instrument, I feel like you have the brains and skill for it
Should have kept the chain drive. More manly than belt drive.
Jim Fortune there are advantages to the belt over the chain that makes it smart. and smart engineering makes it a intelligently manly.
Imagine the noise if he'd done a gear drive. :D
Square-cut gears, the manliest of gears, no less.
Mitch Holladay
Smart or manly. Pick one.
Triangle Gears
Looks like something from the movie Brazil!
Even with all your tools, I'd still have no idea how to do any of the stuff you do!
Keep it up. I love it!!!
Utterly amazing! Good on ya!
Best intro ever :)
Do you think he's a man?
Ohh!! Excellent idea!!! LIKE it!! And like music too!!! CF! CF!! CF!!!
I love this lamp !
You should make a project of sorting everything in your little shed and buying new things and just making things look better. would be fun to watch
I see a new colinfurze video, I watch a new colinfurze video.
man, that stuff is just what I subscribed for
So amazing!! Good work!!
Absolutely awesome!
Next, swap a V8 engine in a Tesla.
Ed Weird in Smart.
And then turn it into a lamp
why would you downgrade a tesla?
/r/woooosh
Someone actually made something better: a diesel in a Prius!
That vacuum seems a little week, I think it might need a chainsaw engine too.
the welf how about a small block v8?
your past couple of videos have been some of your best! keep it up!
Sick table lamp!!!
furze's music choice for every one of his videos reminds me of early 2000's alt-rock radio.
*Everyone Need's a 2 Stroke Spot Light/Lamp :)*
I'd prefer a 4 stroke one. It's more silent, so you can work more efficiently.
I'd prefer a Wankel lamp it's way more noisy
how good is this mon absolutely brilliant
Colin I have watched every video you have ever done & I must say this is awesome & want one In my life congrats Colin congrats
I'd say this is more dieselpunk than steampunk, especially considering you are using a gas engine and all.
Then its gaspunk
Petrol is not diesel :p
I get your point, but the two styles do look basically the same.
@@CockatooDude When I think of steampunk, I think of 19th century fashion and bronzed metal machinery; for dieselpunk, think of interwar fashion and tech.
Yes, for steampunk, he should use a small steamengine to power the generator.
Petrolpunk
Next time make a steam powered one. so its actually `STEAM` punk :P fantastic work anyways.
You are really awesome you have power to make anything
You're the man with lots of talent 👍
Who needs mains anyway
Fergus Griggs didn’t expect to see you here.
Where’s the next YTP :P?
yhh screw mainstream
Soy Boys?
Heh, I just realized this works as a backup light as well.
Mains is a void. ;)
How fuel efficient is your lamp mate?
i think it make like 10h? maybe 6
It gets 15 minutes to the Liter
This is the CF that I know and love!!
Dude I wish I had at least half the creativity and innovational knowledge that you do.
