oh my God.... the elbow detail such a enlightment, and which to go depend on underhook or overhook is a legit gameplan, top notch!

He labels things incorrectly but...technique is spot-on! I keep watching this video. I don't even think I'll waste another second trying to strain and fight to get an underhook back, I'm goin straight to butterfly guard!

That is what I like about the half guard. You can pretty much run along a simple algorithm. Big thanks for the episode!

Awesome stuff Coach! I love that you are open to your students showing moves that they specialize in and how you are open to other guest instructors showing techniques. Great collaboration and an awesome resource for the Jiujitsu community!

My thoughts exactly. That was a lousy lock.
Inside lockdow releases the pressure on the head. I've used several times

Solid instruction. Remember (for the new guys) not to hold on too tight to the lock down or no one at your gym will roll with you. It's a great position but don't be a bully.

Butterfly transition all day but has anyone tried his outside lockdown sweep? Given an underhook I would try to go to dogfight

SBG rules hmm. Ok well at 10th Planet the lockdown is with both feet on the inside. Confusing

@@sphinxx8881 I trained 10th planet and would do outside AND inside lockdown. How many 10th planets are there? Perhaps people do it differently all over the place...

All I can say is for us, and according to Eddie Bravo's books and videos, having both feet on the inside is the lockdown, having both feet on the outside is what we think of as traditional half guard.
