I think I can speak for the entire viewing audience when I say this episode can go feck itself, it did a absolutely perfect job in giving detail and finality to Toga's character and it made me cry over the whole thing, I've not cried at My Hero Academia for anything, but "am I cute" broke me.
@@johmbon that tugged at my heart a lot, but it's Deku - he cries all the time lol But no, it didn't, this did though and it's because it's so simple a thing, all Toga wanted was for people to see her as cute - like any young girl - and everyone around her didn't do that. Gotta say, I wasn’t expecting to cry more than the last episode, but here we are. Toga’s finally getting the validation that she needed all this time. Wish they could’ve met sooner, since Uraraka’s really got a heart of gold.
These manga chapters blew me away when I read them. I honestly didn't care for this storyline until then. However, Horokoshi wrote this so beautifully, and I finally understood what he wanted to communicate to us the audience. Bones did a great job once again.

First Todoroki vs Dabi, then Bakugou's "death", Midoriya pulling up, Shoji's episode, Gentle Criminal and Nagant Episode, I AM HERE, and now this. Nah saying my favorite episode of this season is too low on the list, which is my favorite in the entire show?? Bones doing justice to MHA, we love to see it. 11/10 episode. 12:26 Can we just appreciate the fact that this Awakening was Foreshadowed MULTIPLE times throughout the series. I mean with what everyone has been through up to this point, it makes since for their Quirks to Awaken to new Heights!!!
I've been saying this from the beginning, but.....My Hero really has the superpower to make you Feel Things exactly when and how it wants you to. Even for character that you might not initially connect to or understand, Horikoshi will spin a tale so impactful that you can't help but get swept away by it. It's happened over and over again in these seven seasons, and today was no exception. What an emotional masterpiece of an episode, and a series. I could've never imagined rooting for Toga's happiness (or relating to her) when I first met her, but today all I want is for her to live a full and happy life.
*Toga finally got the love and validation that she needed and deserved all this time. If I’m being honest, despite everything she’s done, I do feel incredibly sorry for Toga. She was unfairly ostracized for how she expressed her love, but now, she’s finally met more people who who accept her…* *Uraraka truly is amazing.*
really good episode, god ochaco, poor toga the pain she feel right now, i have a lump in the throat over the all episode with that talk between ochaco and toga, the seiyuu of both are givin all in this episode you feel it in her voices
Himiko toga has always been my second or third favorite character. If you rewatch, there's lots of scenes with her that nake more sense when you know her. Like her scene in tfe license exam arc pretending to be camie, when deku saves her even knowing she wasn't uraraka. Toga asks if he really would save everyone. I think she always wanted to be saved.
oh damn. 😭 even tho the translation was different here, the line you wrote was how i viewed that line from the anime itself and it's also kinda like she was able to have Jin again for a lil while but he's gone now again. it's so sad. :(
That "Watashi kawaii?" Killed me...😭😭 this episode was so sad but so cute!! Im so proud of my sweet girls. I love Toga now 😭 but spoilers are fkd up...
you know what? I don't know how to explain this episode, but it was really good. I was really touched by the conflict between them (toga and ochako) in my eyes it was just like a fight that would pass like in general, but somehow it felt different and really touched my feelings. I was even moved and cried today because I watched it. This is really a very good and beautiful work. This episode really plays with the feelings when we watch it
As Toga is my favourite in MHA so I may be biased but this was hands down my favourite episode of the season, I cried a river watching this, as Toga through all this pain and suffering finally has someone who understands her in Ochoco which is all she ever wanted, boy do I just want to give both women a hug and tell them it’s going to be ok, us the fans love you as you are Himiko Toga and you now have a good friend in Ochoco Uraraka ❤❤
tbh i really really want a new deku skill set where he has fa jin, smokescreen and float. maybe even gearshift for his ult since deku's ults in ultra rumble is so dissapointing.. its just picking up your downed teammate
I'll be the first to admit I went into the episode not expecting much. I feel like the manga wasn't able to convey the emotional weight of it all. But god damn the voice actors, the score, and the animation really made this moment absolutely beautiful and gave it the raw emotion it needed
I always was able to like this storyline a bit, but I think this fight is what made me go back and actually reread through all of it to really understand it and it’s just so well done. From the Beginning, Uraraka had a love for Deku that made her want to be like him and emulate him, but because she felt like being a hero would conflict with her feelings, she concealed them and put on a mask, the same way Toga did her whole life. It’s why from the beginning Toga was able to understand and see through Uraraka and considered her “the sad one”, because unlike Uraraka, Toga was now living in her truth of who she was, someone who could openly love anyone and express it after years of repression. When the reporter from My Villian Academia shows up in togas thoughts, it reminds her of the fact that the common world sees Toga as just a help case/tragic story, and pities her way of life. But to Toga, she’s just living normally, she’s not faking. It’s why she couldn’t be twice completely, or the others. She didn’t want to murder people, she just wanted to be with the people who’d be able to make a world she could live in as herself. By Uraraka admitting her whole life story to her, and admiring how toga is able to do the one thing she can’t, express her feelings to the one she loves, she reaches Toga. Just by being someone with empathy. It makes sense because from the beginning, Uraraka’s feelings on life and people haven’t necessarily changed, but have just been reformed because of her experiences. Her wanting to see people happy stemmed from her parents. Her wanting to save the heroes comes from how she saw Deku giving his all even when broken. I even like how she admits that seeing someone bloodied and still doing their best is the coolest thing to her, because that’s what she’s always seen with both her parents and Deku. Hori just does a good job at tying things together and rewarding viewers for being invested.

INTERESTING FACT: Uraraka and Shigaraki have almost the same quirk, both require touch to activate their powers and when their powers awaken the range of their quirks increases. Meanwhile, Toga's quirk makes him not only imitate other people's forms from their blood, but also the power of the quirk is also because the quirk is part of the DNA in the blood. so maybe it's the same as OFA, maybe his powers awaken because it not only gives him super physical strength but also his predecessor's quirk because it takes DNA to transfer OFA quirk to another person.
This broke me knowing that my favorite character's final moments are approaching and the voices actresses brought their A plus game 😢. Their is so much that can be said on how her parents failed her and never took accountability.

Ok random and may be off (or someone might have already expressed this) but what if shigaraki (apologies if I spelled it incorrectly) is a mix up to the rest of the members of the league (besides compress)?
