@@andrewmoffatt7046 Yep, had him for 4 months and he became a friend. I took him out every morning to the backyard and he enjoyed it. I never clipped his feathers and that was a mistake, close to sunset one day he got spooked and just took off really high to a a big tree where it got dark quickly, I called and waited but never saw him again. I guess he was free, hopefully he joined other Galahs and survived.
@@azmagaref Probably not. You really should never take your bird's out without a harness. You pretty much let a 2 year old go into the wild to die cause you didn't read up on the bird enough before.

i have a big issue my female galah is so weird somedays she will let me put my hand inside her cage, scratch her head and she would stay on my hand yes she is a little scared during this and might fly away but she’s accepting me, and then the next day she would act like she doesn’t know me at all!! too scared like it’s her first day with me and this irritates me so much i don’t know why she acts like that i know that they are moody but i see all galahs owners playing and grabbing their galahs without them being so scared and she is tamed the first day she came to the house i would call her and she would come to me and set in my lab and let me scratch her head after putting her back to her cage that day she completely changed! what should i do PLEASE HELP
sa mo i have a few cockatiels and a Galah, and my girl was hard to train until I let her set the rules. Also, birds can sense irritation and fear, so if your emotions are of that nature they could be scared to come to you. Oh and treats! Entice with treats....this could take weeks so the most important advice I can give you is please please show patience. It goes a long way. Good luck! 👍
Your wings clipping modality is the worst modality I’ve ever seen. Please stop that because the clip you do is unless and ugly to see. If you won’t have a flyable bird, even if it’s animal cruelty, cut the first 6 feathers and not the secondary feathers. Please read my comment
Really hope the OP and others with birds or thinking of getting birds are reading this comment and pay attention to it This may entertain people but aninal welfare should take higher precedent than human entertainment
