- We traveled a couple thousand miles to meet up with Ben & Ashley in South Dakota for the 4th of July. Ashley is from Rapid City, and her family was kind enough to show us a good time while I was there. We rolled down dusty roads down to the Badlands, one of my favorite places in the country, to film this video.

They **may**, but I get the impression Ben's almost more pleased to busk on streets and stay out of the actual music industry. I can see some major label A&R guy trying to tell him why they've decided he needs electro-beats and a lead guitar solo on his songs...can't imagine that going very well.

I agree country music's really making a come back the new generation are all very talented. I didn't listen to new country music until about the time I found Sturgel Simpson. Then heard these two and now I'm hooked I frequently listen to country now.

Maybe it’s just me and the way I listen to music, but when I find a new song that I love, I don’t necessarily fall in love with the rest of the music made by that artist. I found “When I went down to Georgia” first, but this song made me fall in love with Lost Dog.

The way he sings reminds me of the Hound or the wolf crying out to the night for all to be heard. He means what he sings. It is felt so deep in my soul. Beautiful scenery, a lot of their songs sound the same when they start but it always has a different meaning.
