We had a tin roof on our house and when we had a hail storm it sounded like someone was popping popcorn in the attic, but I love to hear the sound of rain. Glad everyone stayed safe.
Last year we went all the way to Croatia from the UK and on the way back we stayed in a lovely camp in Italy for two days but had a really bad Thunderstorm in the evening. The rain turned to golf ball sized hail for about 15 minutes. It was so loud we couldn't hear the dogs barking, we could see they were but it was like they were muted. Next morning the roof of the RV was covered in Golf ball sized dints. Luckily it didn't break the roof, just dinted it. Was a crazy experience but loved it at the same time as we dont get storms like that often, especially in the UK.
What a lovely camper indeed Maybe if the company of camper vans rentals if yours is rental could also include a padded tauplin with it so if camper vans enthusiasts hear the news that it is going to hail sometimes all they do is open the padded tauplin and pull it to cover the camper vans so that the roofs and glasses not damaged
At least you are not inside a tent with that weather being in trailer is more appropriate than the alternative greetings from Canada, we see hail here usually following a nasty thunderstorm of strong winds lightning and rain before it switches to hail then it might convert to a tornado 🌪

Very true!
That’s got to be scary 😮
Is that in North Carolina?
Yes😊
That's a hail storm? LOL. We aren't even concerned in OK until they reach two inches.
