It's the new in. I'm 57 and about to full time RV. I think we as a society have felt suppressed for so long (and especially after Covid lockdowns), that it is our only sense of freedom.
@@barbibutton9619 hi. I see the comment are really old, but why i want to ask. How long did he do it? Is he still in the road? Im Thinking about doing the exact same thing 😊 im laid off because of health issues and have not lived much last 15 years, im 35 now and dream of this. Many it will give me a new spark to keep moving on and not just stay in my home. Hope to hear back and that your son had or have the best time of he's life 🙌🙂
This was my favorite 🤩 and it was the first thing that popped was my face in my face as soon we started to walk around it with our faces down like this in our faces and we started laughing 😜 so happy 😄 so excited about the opportunity this weekend I am going for our anniversary tomorrow too I am excited 😜 thanks 😊 have the whole
In 1978, my Mom, my sister and I drove from NY state to Washington, to see my brother. It was Fourth of July and we couldn't find a decent hotel room. We ended up sleeping in the a roadside rest stop (we weren't the only ones). When we woke up, we had to walk through several inches of water to get to the restrooms. In 1971 my whole family went across country from NY to Washington. We went through a major storm in North Dakota- only after we got to Washington did we find out that it had been a tornado that went through North Dakota. Only by the grace of God.... Continued safe travels for your family.
What Beautiful Country! I know you Guys are having Fun ,Traveling, Camping & seeing all that Beautiful Country! Abbie is Enjoying it too! Have Fun, be Safe & make lot’s of Memories! God’s Blessings on All of You!
Abby is doing so good! Look at her climb with no railings! When I first started watching y’all she wouldn’t have been so ready to do things like this. I’m so proud of y’all you have come so far. I love seeing your adventures 🧩
Storms can be so scary in an rv. This is a great trip for your family. I think your daughter is having a good time. Storm probably scared not only hour wife but daughter also.
I’m super impressed with Abbie which is a testament to what great parents you are for her. God bless you all. Have you dealt with smoke from the wild fires?
I am loving this channel as I watch a lot of van life, r v life, and travel. Would love to see an introductory video. FA followers know you, but now you're in a whole different community. Would like to see outside views of the new truck and rv also. Enjoyed the kitchen tour and your curtain rod hack. The outside kitchen is awesome! Sandy, Maverick, and Abbie look like they are having a good time!
I used to work at an animal shelter and spend some time there helping train service dogs... what I saw with you guys going back down that mountain, was that sandy tried to pull towards Abby and instinctively pulled herself right up next to her to offer support both fysically and mentally (fysically for Abby to hold on to her, and mentally an "I got ya girl, I'm right here"), and I have seen her do things like that in earlier vids of you guys on the other channel aswell... sandy may come across as a hyper all over the place pup, but if you know what to look for, she's perfectly in tune with Abby and what she needs when... so, my advice, if you feel sandy pull on the leash in the dirrection of Abby in situations like for instance going down that mountain, don't hold sandy back, she knows what to do ;)
Just to be clear, I am not saying sandy should become a fullfledged service dog, but only that I see some natural and instinctive behaviours (in particular towards Abby) along the lines of wanting to take care of her/be there for her, and that I think it would be a good thing to let those instincts develop and not block or hamper them (aslong as they don't cause safety issues for anyone involved including Sandy herself, ofcourse)
@@liannehoenderboom1018 Sandy knows Abby. So I get what you are saying. I think if you have a pet long enough they get to know you better than you know yourself. Animals have great instincts. 👍🏽
My husband and I owned a campground for 34 years and retired in 2017 and traveled around the country for 2 1/2 years. I love it that you are sharing the real experience, good and bad. It amazes me how well you are doing as first time RVers. This lifestyle suits your family very well and I think your channel will encourage others to give RVing a try. I have one suggestion for a little something that you might find helpful. We use museum putty to keep things on our counters when we travel. It lets us keep things like paper towel holders, toothbrush holders and many other things in place and makes it that much easier to pack up on travel days. I look forward to following your adventures.
Thats so awesome Abbie you climbed you conquered and got down really with momma and dad and sandys help I love house sandy just stood there letting Abbie hold on to her knowing she was scared so sweet
This is so great on so many levels !!!! What an amazing experience for all of you. I think your all learning during this adventure together ❤ I'm so thankful you're sharing this with us.
I love the island in your kitchen, plenty of storage and seems like plenty of walking space-not on top of each other. Was adorable you all ended up in Abbies bed during the storm
Nice RV. Stopped at the same place to feed the Prairie Dogs. They are so sweet. My husband was totally in awe of the Badlands. He said if that was the only thing he got to see on the trip it was well worth it. (It was my second time there) We did see much more and some of it was a first for me as well. I’m so glad you guys are enjoying your trip!
When my kids were small....we went camping for weeks at a time but had only a tent trailer...we made due and loved it...especially the kids. Did a lot of barbecuing and had a hot stove ...also had 2 kids and a big dog....it wasn't fun setting up or folding it down....but my kids had a blast and we're in nature.. how I miss those days...thanks for the tour of your beautiful place.
Sandy was really looking out for Abbie. She keeps an eye on Abbie in the pool too. I do believe she knows Abbie needs help sometimes. Sandy truly shows she loves you all.
I'm really loving watching all the new adventures. I've been watching Abbie for 4 years now, I see a huge difference in her on this road trip she is in her element.' She seems so happy, and content. I think buying the RV was a great thing for your family. She struggled so much on the planes. I adore her so much, and I hope she has the best adventures a girl could ever dream of💞🥰

Love how you’re all “Hey Cil, we’re all in here” 🤣😂 And she’s all nervous but all alone out there. 😂 I would have been super nervous too. Being on wheels especially. I truly love bad storms because they calm my anxiety. Especially in our cabin we had that was surrounded by mountains so the windows would actually shake with the thunder. Of course there’s always a limit and anxiety is right back in sketchy situations. Just love all of you!! And so glad you’re all ok from this experience.
Watching Sandy on her leach reminded me of one of my dogs (Sam) he thought when we went on walks he was suppose to lead. My vet recommended a gentle leader head collar. It was like I was walking a different dog!!! They are amazing! Just wanted to share that with ya! ALSO-I couldn't help but to ask if your travels will include u making a pit stop by the WEE FAMILIES new home!?!
I live in a northern state. We have tornadoes. Local weather tracks the storm & there is a tornado watch, then warning. They usually say “Take shelter “immediately” when it is coming close by, AND there is a tornado siren that is heard - even if you are inside. Hard to explain what it sounds like, but it is loud if your outside.

Thank you for sharing another segment of your travels. The scenery is amazing. The prairie dog farm/ visiting area was neat- i had no idea something like that was available. I see Abbie hasn’t been wearing her back pack, or seeing her use her ipad for communication. Does Abbie prefer to sign, instead of using her devices? Does Abbie show preferences for certain areas of sites, like the walk next to the creek vs the more open areas like on this vlog? Thank you for sharing and letting us tag along.
