Yo, Much Luv @DIY Creators. Hey, those drywall anchors you used. Do you know of anything like that, that would make drilling in Wall Paneling stronger? I never see anyone post about flimsy old wall paneling, but in the south, that's all most old homes have?
DIY Creators try toggle bolts or try and hit a stud with a drywall screw
DIY Creators for $7 this is awesome!
Its more like $21 if you include the paint finish. Still awesome.
@@kevinisawake $11 if you use spray paint
I like how you used various cutting tools from simple tools to power tools
Those shelfs look waaayyy more expensive than they really are. Great job
Thank you!
I agree. Will be making these.
This is a great project. The best tip was one you didn't even narrate. I love how you used the painter's tape to hold up the end of the tape measure.
Painters Tape? Where was it please? Did i miss something?
3.36 min from video
me too
that achieved nothing tho ngl
@@theresanguyen9133 when he was measuring the wall to mark for the anchors and screws.
Painter's tape?! And here I was, always relying on another person to hold the other end of the tape measure.
lol Yep the simple things in life.
I was dumbfounded at such a simple trick to help self-measure. I'll certainly be using this trick as well.
IM HAVING TROUBLE MEASURING MYSELF AS WELL, NOW I KNOW THE TRICKS LOL :D
yea, this was my biggest takeaway from the video! It's the little things...!
Blew my mind. Was just measuring some stuff last night and enlisted the wife and kids as royal tape holders.
Pretty sure this is doable for a beginner. Thanks Glen, always wanted to start working with wood and this might be my start!
That's the goal :).
@@DIYCreators contact please
Nice quick and easy project. And I liked the dowel usage vs screws. Good stuff!
Thank you!
@@DIYCreators I am going use dowel but I am not professional
@@B.Natesan How did it turn out for you?
@@quinnthereaux7719 somehow I made it
For the love of holy crap you are amazing. Thank you for doing what very few people can do. Make a video that is perfect. It is a level 10 informative and a level 0 on "hey look at me try to be funny and cute". People like you are an endangered species on RUclips. Keep it up I'll watch every one you've got cause theres actually something to learn and it wastes non of my time. Glad I came across this stuff. Thank you.
I'm a beginner woodworker and I'm hooked! Have built an Adirondack chair and a French Bench so far and have been stunned and elated at what I apparently can do. Just found your channel, you describe everything so succinctly and explain your choices. Thanks for sharing your talent!
You made it look so easy to make those shelves, the tutorial was great. I like the paint you used, rather than just black. Richer look. Lot's of good tips. Thank you
Wow! Simple and elegant. Nice project. Thanks!
That scrapwood method of transferring the nail locations is freaking GENIUS!! I'm going to use that all.the.time.
Love these shelves! I am doing my whole house in mid-century modern and these will fit right in. Love the paint and all the great tips!
hey, that's a pretty good tip using the strip of wood to mark the hole locations...I'll will for sure use that next time. keep the great vids coming.
love the limited tools series! So everybody can build along 👌
Bro your fucken beast. 3 Years late and i cant help to admire your craft with simple instructions.
Every time I see your videos I’m amazed by your creativity. God bless you & keep on creating showing us how too
Glad to see your channeling blowing lately Glen. It's about time with all the amazing work you've done brother.
Thanks Chad! It's been unreal to see the growth. I can't thank everyone enough for the support.
DIY Creators are you still going to restore a table
Wyatt Delashmutt Yep I gave you my word a while back. I been crazy busy. I have to find one at a yard sale or something.
DIY Creators I got a bunch of tables! lol. Those shelves are beautiful. Tfs.
DIY Creators what is the paint that you chose for this project? I love this paint!!
Thank goodness! I dont need a bunch of crazy tools or unneeded steps to build something! Great for beginners like me!
Those are beautiful, and they look so easy to do. I really love the paint, too, I don't think I've ever seen any like that before. Thank you so much, you've given so many good hints. ( The painter's tape to hold the tape measure was awesome!!) Thank you, again!
Love the tip on matching up the key holes to the wall screws. Going to use that every time now.
Yes, that is a great tip.
Excellent! Love the choice of paint.
There is a lot of beauty in simplicity. This is just about as simple as it gets. Very cool. Love it.
I love the realistic ways you work by giving the different possible ways of doing a particular thing depending on the tool one has. Thank you. Beautiful job.
I really like how this video is something I can create without a whole bunch of tool!!! Thank you will be makeing these shelf's for sure!
You're welcome!
Wow is so beautiful. Great talent! 😱. Keep it up . And thanks for tutoring. I will try this for my restrooms
I love a man who can build..these turned out beautiful..love that paint color also.
Best box shelf tutorial out there. And one that doesn't require a miter saw or table planer. 👍
Love the transfer hole guide
Thanks man.
Really simple and elegant !
I have been a woodworker for about 20 years. Good job! Ideas that I had not thought of before.
Thank you! :)
I love this project. It's so simple yet very elegant.
always nice and smart with you. greetings from France
Love that trick for hanging man going to use it 😄👍🏽
This is one of the best diy shelves I've seen so far. Thank you for sharing.
I really like this guy. He explains things very well and appeals to the average guy trying to get a job done!
Don't know why I never thought of the scrap wood trick to space the mounting holes. Great tip!
great project for beginners..
Thank you for showing just how easy these types of projects are. Very helpful!
Wow dude!!! I’m amazed by your video! Thank you sooooo much for showing how-to with different tools; not everyone has power tools!!! I really appreciate it. Love it!
yass genius! can't wait to try this!😁
hi man, i love your work, and i was wondering if you can show us how to make a terrarium with plexiglas and conctrete or wood
Very simple, very elegant! Well done. This small project should encourage non-woodworkers to build this for their home.
Nice work. The paint looks metallic, very pretty and useable shelves.
This dude is a madman
GOOD WORK ! :-)
Thank you!
I love how you give many options how to tackle the different steps. Really encouraging if one sees that there is more than one solution. Keep that up!
Thanks!
This is just what I wanted.. You were to the point and all your ideas are really great. Very well explained for a novice like me who doesn't have good options to buy in market and carpenter charge a bomb to make it for you in INDIA... You are a life saver...
😍 such a beautiful shelf and I'm from Cali you don't see too many brothers handy with a tool so this was uber sexy to me lol
Nice and So Simple !! ::) Tks
Thank you so much! I dreaded starting a project for the first time, but came across your video. I have received so many compliments thanks to you!
I'm new to your channel and it's helping me to imagine myself making the things that i want to do in my home and apply all your tips and everything that I'm going to learn by watching you.. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge .. God bless you. 💚
thank you men I am going to make one for my daughter
I'll try to impress my wife with this one.
hahaha, nice :D
Excellent demo! Crisp, clear, and concise!
Your videos are just on another level they are quick, informative and straightforward to follow.
Really smooth & simple with the tape no need to call my wife to hold the end of the tape for me lol
Mannnn you're too ill.....thanks for taking the time to make these vids
Thank you for showing the use of other tools. I have pretty nice tools now but when I started I did not and I wished there would have been some one like you! Thanks!
Thank you soooo much for keeping it straight to the point & simple on what you used and how to do it. That's the best way to teach in my opinion. I'm 41, however I'm easily distracted and can't focus on a 30 minute video that explains exactly what you just did in under 5 minutes. Thank You 💜✌😊
You're welcome :)
wao!
Good rule: Keep it simple😃
This is great!!! Definitely going to try and give this a go as my first project! Thanks
Great video - I like how you show both options (people who have hand tools and people who have power tools). Also, just very clear, easy to understand and a nice length of video too!
I swear my future husband needs to be handy.
Alexis Patrice
I am, could do this no problem!! 😁😁😁 lol sorry I had to!!
Never know I’m still available
Just marry a man with loads of cash then pay someone to do all this stuff for you.

Thank you for a great tutorial. You explained everything clearly, I can make this now.
I love the oil rubbed bronze paint, too, burn using the spray paint on a lot of projects.
I'm new to your channel it blown me when I saw your videos. it's really a nice place to learn all about DIY carpentry work. It's amazing, high informative.. thanks bro.. keep going 👍
Help I accidentally built a floating shelf !!
You kind of forgot to mention the $5000 tools to use
Yea homie, I was bout to say this
I made these about three or four years ago and I used only $300 worth of used tools most of them were handles. It really can be done and I sold quite a few of them.
Right on time! New place not enough storage but a lot of wall property.
Thanks for another great video, Glen! I appreciate the great tips that you give, and simple or complex, you always make it look easy!
Thank you for such detailed and clear instructions. I've subscribed!
Haven’t got to make it yet but I could rewatch it over and over . Thanks for sharing . I love how you did the key hole portion ; never thought of that :) continue more great videos 🖐🏼👍
I've been hooked on watching people build this style of shelf. I worked on my first one today. My miter saw died out of the blue today. I really wanted to cut miters, but at least I've got a cordless skillsaw. This rectangular shape just looks so cool.
Love these! That paint color is gorgeous! I’m definitely going to have to find a use for that in a project soon! Thanks for another great video. Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow! Thanks 😊
Brand new to woodworking - your videos are gold!
Nice video. Straight to the point. Even leaving out the obvious stuff that even beginners know how to do, which is perfect. Am going to use this idea.
OMG this might have been 3 years ago but, I needed this. I have a woodworking class and i have to plan my project thx so much ❤️
Hey Glenn? You're a genius! In all my years I've never thought once about using painters tape to hold my tape measure. Thank you for the quick tip!
Thank you for the video. I have been looking to install shelves and though it wasn't the main topic, seeing how you installed them helped me out in understanding the process.
Wow that’s awesome I really like your videos. Simple but effective. The video you made with the wooden bed frame and, led puck lights and blu led tape lights wall wash was really cool!!
OMGosh My Brother!
Thank you for your videos....simple and easy to understand. In my fantasy life I'm a Badass woodworker and you are helping to make this come true.
Shelves are beautiful too! 👍✌🙏😀
Love this! Ive been wanting to make shelves and this is a great way for a beginner to start! Thank you!!
i'm starting my own workshop at home because of your great vids, I wish I could have all of that usefull tools you got, thanx greetings from Cancun, Mexico
Binge watching... Great video!! I thought it would be more difficult, but you made it look so easy!! I think i can at least try it now! Thank you!
Excellent channel - Done 2 projects from here already (TV back panel and this one to go underneath the panel for the soundbar + electronics hidden in the shelf)
Thank you for sharing this very nice and simple way to make shelving this is what I have been looking for a perfect look Thailand 🇹🇭
Great video. Straight and to the point, clear and concise.
Thanks for the instructions! Very useful! My wife had been asking for floating shelves in our bathroom.
All of your projects look amazing, but this is one I may actually be able to do to spruce up my guest bathroom. The wood guide is genius! Thank you!
Good job Brother! A “real world” DIYer. LOVE it!!
This way looks so much better and easier than other videos I've watched on floating shelves!
Nice vid! and some great tips too. I always make the wood wet and let it dry before sanding. this brings out the nuts and the paint job looks much smoother.
Floating shelves are SO expensive.
This is a much simpler technique than the last video I saw on diy floating shelves.
I think I can do this! 😃
Thank you ♥️🙏
I love watching. Very easy to follow. Thanks.
Your instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I'm going to home depot right now...👍
Great stuff as usual.
Very smart to show various ways to do you some steps, varying the tools and methods. This really helps beginners.
Go man go.
Thanks man :). Im always looking out for the beginners.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. You made it look so simple. Like the finish.
Love them, so smart. You make everything look so easy ! 👍🏽
