your bank will commit a certain interest rate, which is higher than FD rates. You will get the same at the time of maturity. No tds applicable from FCNR to INR as long as you are investing from your NRE account.. Better check with your bank for more info.

Is it okay to keep Domestic savings accounts without closing it, I will not be using the account anymore but couldn’t close it. I need to visit the branch office to close the account which is impossible for me.
