  • The modification seat idea is nothing new. I've modified seats before on my dirt track bikes. This technique only works on the medium density and high density foam. I was always thinking the OEM foam would press out to be more comfortable, but this was not the case, so I had to get rid of those ridges and this was the cheapest option. Overall it is super comfortable now!!! worth the effort and saved my self a few bucks too.
    The seat and foam is from www.adventuremoto.com.au/ BRISBANE
    If you like to purchase this product ill leave it here in the link👇👇👇👇

    Please note: I have sat on there concept seats, they are very comfortable and well made unfortunately there price is out of range now due to shipping cost I've heard, cant believe everything you hear lol thanks for watching I hope your guys are happy with the sit mod to your motorcycle.

    Great and easy mod. I arrived yesterday from a 1500km trip and it still hurts down there....I was just thinking that the seat is not so bad just those edges and seeing your video I'm gonna give it a try!

    hey I did the same thing with mine whilst converting to a front seat key release. Only I used an angle grinder with a flap disc. makes all the difference creating a rounded crown. Though I went a bit further than you did and took a few mil off the height as well.. Now the seat is really comfortable and I think will be fine for long rides.. Cheers

    Love such tutorials man, thanks a lot! Quick question, do you think you would be able to get the staples in with a mechanical stapler? I have one that I've used to do work at home, no problem to go through several layers of fabric + wood but I'm wondering if it would work through the plastic of the seat. What do you think?

    • @shaneleach1
      @shaneleach1  5 месяцев назад +1

      I cant see why it wouldn't work, I just have the right tools at the time. Just try it first and see how you go, you cant hurt anything 👍. Thanks for watching .

    Thank you for the video, I can't take riding the T7 for more than 2 or three hours at best. Going to try you mod and add a gel pad in with it. Really want to do some long range riding but just can't as it is! I even bought a Seat Concepts "low comfort" seat (I'm not blessed with long legs), and it's no better than the stock seat, maybe even a bit worse...

      @@Rubmaster I bought the softest foam I could get and installed in on the stock seat, it's more comfortable but not a heck of a lot. I'm going to buy the softest foam seat concepts sells for their comfort seat, it will be same height as stock so it's not the "low comfort" but I've gotten used to tip toeing the bike. I'm waiting for better weather to come around before I spend the money on the new foam and cover that will be needed...
