    Nice short review. When I received my Rally Seat, it was a pleasant surprise and a bonus to see the larger tool compartment. No one had mentioned that on the reviews I watched before purchasing the seat. I'm a cm shorter than you and did not have any issue with touching the ground. The seat is more comfortable than the original, but on super long rides, 5 hours or more, my butt still get a bit sore. For me the nicest thing about the seat was how much easier and faster I could move from sitting to standing. Check that out on your riding test.

    Have both for a while now and never realized the rally seat was smaller;-) initially I continued using the oem for more difficult offroad because of the comfort of reaching ground better as starting rider but now I only use the rally. The rally seat doesn’t force you into 1 (the lower) position like the oem seat does. Makes a big comfort difference on long tarmac rides because one can switch positions more.

      you mean you have both rally seats? and you only use the tall one? i´m trying to make my mind about which one to buy

    I was about to buy Tenere but when i tested it out. I was surprised of the seat how low it was. Since then I haven’t look back to it. It felt very weird to be that low on such a big bike. I am used to have flat seat because of my supermoto. I guess with that rally seat it will feel a lot better and just like my supermoto.

    BTW the Rally Edition Rally seat has this large tool compartment as well but long time riding comfort is not so well. Even with an air seat, which I adjusted a few times during a 7.500 km ride, it's not getting comfortable.
    I'm going to check some possibilities for a more comfortable riding experience.

      Was thinking that. most of the extra height would be taken up by the tool compartment not extra padding so can't see how it is more comfortable. I rode on one ,it did make it feel more like a dirtbike because it was flatter but was no more comfortable.

      BTW I brought my seat to a local upholstery with 30 years of experience and my seat got a little bit wider, not higher. The difference is just great as my butt rests not only on 2 points/bones now during a long ride 😅 The Rally Seat is much more comfortable now.

    Lovely video, thanks a lot!
    Quick question, have you made a video about your tools? Because I am struggling to choose the right tools for the job

    Hi mate, I have finally purchased the seat because, as far as I understood, it improves a lot the ergonomic, the riding position/riding style, comfort and so on..
    Unfortunately I left a kidney over it because I can't purchase the item from US towards EU..
    In terms of body measures I am more or less the same as you.
    At this stage I am really curious to see the changes praised in the social networks.. 🙂

    Thanks for the review. I am so tempted to get it but man it costs so much.
    It would now just be interesting to see how it feels while riding. I don't like how the OEM is slanted anf pushes you into a spot.

      I’m pretty sure it will be a great riding experience, also moving about on it.
      Yea it’s pricy, that’s why I waited so long.
      I got this for 240€, seconds hand in mint condition.
      Will report back after a few rides for sure

    Anyone have any idea on the dimensions of the tool compartment? Curious if my Kriega tool bag will fit.

    • @minds4game
      @minds4game 9 месяцев назад

      In case anyone else is curious, it's 6.6 in x 9.6in x 1.18in ( 170 x 245mm x 30mm)

    Deeper tools compartment means less cushion for the rider. That's not good. It's like heaving the same cushion thickness with more tools compartment.

      It’s softer than the stock seat though

      the seat is taller so the tool box makes no difference.

      Good question, don’t know. It’s the accessory rally seat , so not the one you get with rally edition bikes (that one you can’t buy)

      All Yamaha dealers have the accessory Rally seat. Also Off the road .de and many parts reseller.
      It’s just the standard rally seat my friend 😊

    • @everythingtenere
      @everythingtenere  2 года назад +1

      Highly recommend it, much better riding possition and availability to move around.
      But I wouldn’t say it is more comfy than standard, but a little bit.
