Please record the boring stuff. Do Timelapse’s. Mumble on about anything, everything or nothing. I just really love spending time with you and watching your content. It’s so comforting and enjoyable. I love to hear your thought process and your uncertainties. Thanks Paige!
Can we pause for a second and talk about how at the precise moment when Paige said “we love a pup” on the chanel and then shared about Goo going to the Rainbow Bridge…the neighbor walked by with a dog!! ❤
Paige this was the best video ever! Felt like I really got to know you because your so f-ing chill and real. Please don’t overproduce your videos. They rock as is and that’s what makes you so special. Truly obsessed with your channel and am so excited to follow you as you decorate your new place.
Only because she paid 2.500 for the couch altogether she is trying to convince herself she loves it. Whilst she only likes it but not for this space. Everything that I've bought I loved instantly. So yeah.. It's OK to make mistakes but when they're expensive you try to convince yourself.
It seems plain because you haven’t finished the room yet. You really got that fast -- and the chairs too. Edit: for the vase with holes, put a jar inside it (even a cut down plastic water bottle works. Been there, done it.
i could watch hourssssss of you doing "boring" stuff. you're hands down my favourite youtuber and i love how authentic all your videos are. never change !
I LOVE all the reminders in my life right now, especially these new apartment videos on Paige's channel, that IT TAKES TIME to settle into new spaces. I moved into a new apartment with my partner the weekend right before Christmas and it's taking a lot more time than I initially expected it would, to get my space feeling curated, less cluttered and etc... it helps me feel better, to see I'm not alone in this phase of adjusting after a move.
i really enjoy how there is not a front in your videos. sometimes it’s moody, the reality of sprucing up when you feel shit, and recording hungover. the effort and creativity your videos bring are impeccable, but i really enjoy the “boring” things too. sometimes life is mundane and i admire you continuing to make things happen
The couch is excellent. The anatomy is so unique and beautifully balanced and the color you picked is so comforting and warm! It is gorgeous, wish I could try it out
Paige, love this video, love watching all the little processes to style your home. In the Q&A I would love to hear your ideas on how to make a good hosting space for larger groups when you have a small home without a dining room or permanent dining table. Especially for eating together.
For the audio, you mentioned that people were saying it was too quiet. If you're using Final Cut Pro, then you can hover over the audio and a line should appear. Click and drag it upward to increase the volume. If that's not loud enough, then open up the effects (the icon second from the left on the bar) and go to Audio > Levels. Find "Gain" and drag it over the audio. Go to the speaker icon in the top right, then click the arrow to open up the controls for Gain. Then you can drag the db to be higher.
I've also noticed that the audio sounds a bit raspy and there could be a couple of things going into that. But probably - when you're recording audio in an almost empty room there will be reflections of your voice bouncing off the walls and going right back into your mic, which then makes it sound a bit off. A similar thing happens when there is a lot of background noise going on. There might be options in your video editing software that minimize that noise and take away the sound of the room around you. You could also look into eq-ing (basically getting rid of frequences in the audio that sound bad). I'm sure there are youtube tutorials for that. hope that helps. :)
Boring stuff is fine, and not boring. Just cooked supper while listening to this, watching every few minutes. Really enjoyable and comforting! Couch looks great. Fascinating to see the process as you go, as opposed to a finished set/space.
I love the sofa! She’s an understated show stopper...timeless color and fabric . I think the most important look in a space is seeing the floors clear- you can focus more on the beautiful lines of the sofa base and that amazing fireplace. Loved the Sears throwback robe! 🤏🏻
Hey Paige! Just to let you know, you can actually buy hardware to rewire a lamp instead of using a converter if you are so inclined. I rewired an old lamp (I bought the stuff from Walmart), and I rewired it myself having no prior experience! It worked out really well (e.g. does NOT looked DIY'd lol)! Thanks for your great content -- looking forward to seeing your chairs ! :)
I did like the original print on the couch, however the new fabric seems to change with the light, which is very cool; its almost a soft plum in some light. I vote for a large tree in the back corner, maybe a Dracaena Reflexa that you could bend and train; they're really sculptural when done right. Its a great house and I love your vids.
The color and structure of the couch are timeless and beautiful. I always find that I have an initial shock with a big change, but then end up loving it. With the right accesories and styling it will look great.
Love the vase cupboard!! Don’t know if you ever thought of putting a slim vase inside the lovely green one that has the holes in it so you don’t have to worry about refilling the water? 🤷♀️
Your not knowing what you're doing is so relatable. We all have times where we are on a roll and then it gets shaken up and we have to start a new roll. And the content is never boring
Just do you. We understand and have the same kind of days ourselves. I love the sofa. It is really a good backdrop color that will work with lots if other colors. Just needs to be cozied up with a throw or pillows as you find them or not if you are not into that kind of thing.
Beautiful flowers. I'm getting caught up on your videos on a cold winter's day. To make flowers last longer, strip the stuff (leaves, etc.) off the botttom that goes into the water. Wash the stems when you replace the water. Trim out the stuff that gets old every few days. It can really help stretch your fresh flowers (and budget). Invest in a good shears (Felco or Fiskars), esp. if you have access to branches (including curbs). Finally, give your tulips the smallest amount amount of water -- a thimble full -- to help them last longer. Keep up your gorgeous content.
Paige, I love the new sofa! Can't wait to see you style it with pillows and such. Your videos are so fun to watch. I know the content is supposed to be all about home styling, but honestly anything you talk about is interesting. Music, clothes, dogs, your social life, books, etc. I think you doing Q&A's will be a great addition to your content.
Keep showing us all the "boring" stuff, I learn a lot from it and I enjoy the rawness. Lately, I have found myself getting bored with other interior RUclipsrs because they lack the authentic feeling that you give, and honestly your videos are the only ones that give me inspiration. Love your new space and the sofa looks great!
You are fun to watch. Love your snark and manic flow of consciousness style of communication. Can't wait to see how the house looks when you get it styled.
I just purchased a new couch and love seat for my living room. EXACT same style as your couch. Love the “built in” arm cushions…so comfy! Retro goodness!
Love the mimosa arrangements, just make sure you're cutting the stems before putting in water so the stem opens up and can drink water and last longer, also take all of the leaves off of the stems that will be in water to keep them fresher longer and the water free of bacteria--Love the shape of your couch!!
Love the sofa - it’ll look even better when you’ve all your furniture is in and styled by you. The green flower pitcher with holes…put another smaller/taller vase inside and fill that with water.
honestly the lines of the sofa are definitely not for me, but it's obvious how much you're loving it, so it's clear it was the right choice for you! I do like the fabric you picked, though, and I think once you accessorize it a little and you have the chairs to offset it as you settle in, the neutrality of it will be a good anchor for the rest of the room. Part of why I like your videos is because your taste is mostly like 90% divergent from my own, so it's really cool to see the way you put things together and the things that speak to you. Makes me see the world in a different way, and I appreciate that.
hi paige loved this video - for the q&a i’d love to hear your thoughts on rugs - how to pick the color, the size, etc based on a room and also where to shop for them
Love how the apartment is coming along . Also love your choice in music,,,,that John Lennon song is one of my favs... I love your honesty " I'm so hung over right now"....cracked me up!!
Have you ever been to Fleur in Logan Square, Chicago? The first time I went, I described the flowers as "artfully wilted." That's how I would describe your tulips. You looked stunning in the boatneck top with your hair up. STUNNING. I moved into my apartment this summer and bought a dining table right away bc I didn't have one and I needed a place to work while I waited for my furniture to come from NYC. Anyway, I spent months certain I had made a big mistake with buying it. But now the room is almost finished and I LOVE it.
I love your new couch and it’s color is so soothing, but it is so cool that it changes color from light to darker with the sunlight. Your robe is classic plus the blue is so pretty on you. I also miss seeing the Goo too.🐶 So enjoying seeing you making your home you.💚😊
Love the raw and realness of your vid. Also you sharing human moments.. like second guessing sofa color. It looks great to me. Once everything is in the room it will be fine. Also I can hear you just find.. on my laptop and phone. Keep going! You’re doing great content!
I LOVE the couch! The material and the color look GREAT! IT'S perfect! Not too basic, not too out of ordinary either! The shape looks beautiful!!! I think that you feel nervous about it because it's not styled yet. When you throw pillows on there and maybe a throw blanket, it will come together for sure!!
I enjoy whatever you film because I love your comments, explanations, and banter. I live alone, and your videos are the closest I come to a conversation some days. I love the couch, and I think you should consider adopting a dog or kitty. Oh, tulips are my absolute favorite flowers.
Paige, for qna, would love in depth deets about your prop styling career! I'm so interested. How did you get into it, how do you get gigs, how much does it pay, do you or they pay for travel, do you have to bring your own props, how much creative control do you get, etc, etc? Thank you in advance!😚
When I have something made or recovered I have a vision in my head….. but then when it’s delivered the reality of what it looks like doesn’t match my inner vision😮 but every time I live with the piece I realize it came out better than my vision… because the whole room adds to the visual of the piece❤
I love the sofa!! I think it will look so cozy once you decorate it with a plaid blanket and pillows. However, I think the best accessory it could have is you. Can't wait to see your chairs!
it's coming together so nicely, loving these little update vlogs! In the q&a, I would love to know how you got into interiors/prop styling - I know you've mentioned before that you studied something totally different in college, so I'm interested to hear how you ended up in this field! I'm currently a college student who doesn't really know what to do after I finish my degree so I love hearing how people found jobs that they love :)
So sorry about the Goo. I miss him. Your couch is gorgeous, tho, and I can't wait to see your chairs & a coffee table. I'd love to hear your thoughts process as you make arrangements in vases. Also, more prop styling! Thanks for sharing, Paige! Be well & at peace!
I think the sofa is great! Maybe it looks underwhelming now because its quite a similar brown to the floor but will really pop when you get a rug eventually
The sofa looks good. Looks cozy and interesting. I freak out a little almost every time I bring something new into the house. Takes a little easing into sometimes. : )
I love the lines of the couch and I like that you did a neutral color on it. I can picture some pops of color and/or designs on throw pillows and maybe a throw.
You're making the videos I'm hoping to see!!! Keep filming what you want, I just love hanging out with you and hearing about your design perspective. :)
Love the sofa! The videos I learn the most from you is your sit down videos with a list of dos and donts or tips to upgrade or things you like right now! All videos are great though!
Such a good video! I love grumpy Paige!! I think I speak for everyone when I say that we want all of the content, also and maybe especially the boring things. Seeing you put together your home is so much fun!
Make sure the filling is the grade you expected. Sometimes they send them not the same you ordered. If they are under under warranty you may be able to get them refilled.
Paige don't freak out about the couch - its probably cos the room is still empty and right now it is not what u have enVision (and yes - probably also cos it was a splure) but it will turn out great! Re your green pitcher - just put some transparent jar inside so u don't have to add water constantly. Love ur energy.
Hi Paige!! I deeply admire your work and perspective and have been wondering what you’d suggest for someone who’d like to get into the prop styling/interior decorating world? Also, this style of home updates is so refreshing because we can see the slow process of making a home. I find that much more satisfying, and attainable, than the makeover videos that are so prevalent here. Thanks for being amazing 🤎
Yes, more on prop styling with some before and after pics. Maybe have some shop with you on Facebook Market Place/etc. things for your apartment. Your thought process when shopping. Honestly Paige, I think we'd watch anything you posted.
Great video! Can you make a video on apartment/house hunting. Like knowing what qualities to look for in a new home. I'm graduating college and finally looking for actual places (not student living). Its hard to know what type of space I want and what features I should be prioritizing.
I totally enjoy the boring parts with or without jazzy music! A lot happens in the boring parts! Also I am 1000% into more prop styling content if you want to, and if you haven’t already I’d love to hear how you got into it, it’s one of jobs where I have no idea how it happens
Would love a video with some ideas on how to decorate your office space? Would be cool if you showed us how you would add little touches that are cute but functional. Love the video Paige and can't wait to see how your place comes together!!
I'm furnishing my new apartment right now and I relate so heavily to getting a new piece of furniture and being so excited for it and then overthinking it once you get it and freaking yourself out questioning if you like it 😂
I love the sofa, not so much the color; I personally would have gone with a green. Get a cheap scrap of lumber to span your book stacks in front of the fireplace so you can get your record player off of the floor until you find something you like. It will be nice to raise it up a little. I always love your videos!! (Also, digging your music choices; you play a lot of "my music" lol!)
You are such an un-RUclipsrish RUclipsr and I love you for it. I love your content. At 66 I certainly haven’t “figured it out” and I’m finally comfortable in that. Love you Paige❤
for the q&a: would love to hear more advice from you on arranging florals i really like your taste in that regard. sort of simple & sculptural i live in a rural area so i can collect (or buy) all sorts of stuff in the warmer months but am limited to, like, basic grocery store flowers in the winter (luckily, not just mixed bouquets but still working with a pretty limited pallet) wish i knew how to make them feel less “traditional” (if that makes any sense) really need some life up in this joint now that i took my xmas tree down
No need to be nervous about the sofa, it’s gorgeous, and this is coming from someone who loved the original fabric, but I can understand how it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Also love the lamp, love the robe, insist on a beautiful large mirror above the mantlepiece, think your place is coming along beautifully, and the final point I want to make: I am glad the FB Marketplace guy flaked out on you, because honestly I believe you will find better looking desks out there (wasn’t a great fan of this particular one). Looking forward to your next video Paige, enjoy your night out!
Hey hi, I’d love to see your prop styling process too, and I’m also curious about how you take beauty shots of things within a home and what your thoughts and processes are with lighting and stuff in the background. These easy vlog videos have been so nice, congrats on the new couch, I love the color!
Right now your couch is a plain Jane because she is your main decor item, but once you get some pillows a throw, rug, coffee table, I am sure it will come together. Also sometimes the last day of estate sale they might discount those stools (they seem pricey to me). The desk was not meant to be. Keep looking!
Beautiful sofa, and camel/warm color, desk light fixture, simple decor with the books, the vases, tuplips and everything :D Nice moove for this unique sears vintage dress. ☺ love your process
Love the new fabric for the couch! Would love to hear more about how you START designing a room or space in your Q&A or other videos, or what you do when you don't have an idea on how to decorate a space.
That couch is not my style. But it is yours and you seem so happy to finally get it that I'm super happy for you! I moved a couple of months ago and I'm still finding stuff to make it home, so I get you. Don't hesitate, if your gut tells you it's cool for your space the it is.
The arrangements were so simple and yet I never see people doing stuff like that in their homes. I love it! it just looks so effortless and artistic. Also I just love your videos, I'm studying interior design and your videos help me figure out my own style. 🫶
Omg! I do that all the time! Everytime I buy big ticket items , but I think once you get pillows and throw and don’t forget the chairs, they may bring it all together! Sit back and wait until you get the chairs
this is not related to this video but i took your advice and brought a small table lamp for my kitchen table and i swear it makes me feel like the most stylish person in the world (also i love your new pants)
What's the lamp like? I have a scandinavian style kitchen with white cabinets and counters, coral backsplash and light grey tile flooring. I'm not sure what to get but I like simple.
I love the couch. The shape is interesting on its own so the fabric allows the shape to stand out. And there is no boring stuff. It’s all good and provokes inspiration! Huzzah for flower arrangements in every room! Cheap & easy room refreshers.
Please record the boring stuff. Do Timelapse’s. Mumble on about anything, everything or nothing. I just really love spending time with you and watching your content. It’s so comforting and enjoyable. I love to hear your thought process and your uncertainties. Thanks Paige!
@@smallhouseinthemeadow6131 totally agree

Agrée!!

YES x
Can we pause for a second and talk about how at the precise moment when Paige said “we love a pup” on the chanel and then shared about Goo going to the Rainbow Bridge…the neighbor walked by with a dog!! ❤
It’s a sign!! Paige needs a puppy!!
Or it's Goo reincarnated
It happened as she said, "I miss my dog so much."
I noticed that too!!
Came to comments immediately to see if someone had already commented on it.
Paige this was the best video ever! Felt like I really got to know you because your so f-ing chill and real. Please don’t overproduce your videos. They rock as is and that’s what makes you so special. Truly obsessed with your channel and am so excited to follow you as you decorate your new place.

My exact thoughts!
@@wasselpa ♥️
Agree.
Also, no one can wear a robe like you can. It's a talent, believe me.
lol love Paige trying to convince herself she loves the couch and totally get this feeling when I get a new piece, takes a min to ease into the space
Only because she paid 2.500 for the couch altogether she is trying to convince herself she loves it. Whilst she only likes it but not for this space. Everything that I've bought I loved instantly. So yeah.. It's OK to make mistakes but when they're expensive you try to convince yourself.
As Paige talks about missing her pup, one walks by in the background. The Goo is with you in spirit!

Me too! You beat me too it! Great minds think alike?!?! Lol😜
Great idea!!
Great idea!
I love the sofa color! I get why you're worried its plain, but it's such a unique shape so that really shines through :)
Exactly! It's really cool 😍😍
It’s hard to have an opinion without all the other furnishings. I do love the shape of it
I really appreciate how calm and in-the-present your videos are, you’re like the Mr. Rogers of interior design

I'm currently a college student who doesn't really know what to do after I finish my degree so I love hearing how people found jobs that they love :)
Can you do a tutorial on styling mistmatched plates for a dinner party? Anything related to elevating everyday dining would be awesome!
You can put a sleek art on the fireplace wall or a poster and put so many candles on the ground and light them to keep the fireplace vibe
Paige this video was perfect, don't doubt yourself!! By showing us what you feel like, you're also curating the audience you'll want.
Also question for your next video - can you give us some other timeless ceiling lighting suggestions? ESP for bedrooms! Thank you :)
Couch is so good, will look better with more stuff! The desk was so cool, what a bummer.
I love your house. I like your couch and everything you have for your new home. Its very retro and cozy
I'm furnishing my new apartment right now and I relate so heavily to getting a new piece of furniture and being so excited for it and then overthinking it once you get it and freaking yourself out questioning if you like it 😂
Aww did you notice the dog walk past after you said “we love a little pup over here?” 🐶💕
The couch is lovely! A new piece of furniture can just look strange when you first get it, then it becomes completely normal;-))
Love you Paige❤
i love to see your process, it’s so relatable. also would love to see more prop styling content, it’s fascinating
Camel wool, so classic and versatile - yum!
Can’t wait to see you style it with cushions and a throw.
I’m so happy you’re pleased with the comfort🥳
for the q&a: would love to hear more advice from you on arranging florals
i really like your taste in that regard. sort of simple & sculptural
i live in a rural area so i can collect (or buy) all sorts of stuff in the warmer months but am limited to, like, basic grocery store flowers in the winter (luckily, not just mixed bouquets but still working with a pretty limited pallet)
wish i knew how to make them feel less “traditional” (if that makes any sense)
really need some life up in this joint now that i took my xmas tree down
No need to be nervous about the sofa, it’s gorgeous, and this is coming from someone who loved the original fabric, but I can understand how it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
Oh, I forgot to comment about the new pair of trousers, they are fantastic!
Hey hi, I’d love to see your prop styling process too, and I’m also curious about how you take beauty shots of things within a home and what your thoughts and processes are with lighting and stuff in the background. These easy vlog videos have been so nice, congrats on the new couch, I love the color!
Omg went to the same estate sale! Was so disappointed because felt the same thing - not a lot of things.
Love how your apt is coming together Xx
PAIGE!!! please share your top recommendations for living room paint colors. (or what colors you're loving/enjoying on walls right now) xo
so glad you linked your trousers i love them!
I love you for the bright colors you pick! So refreshing
YAY!!
What's the lamp like? I have a scandinavian style kitchen with white cabinets and counters, coral backsplash and light grey tile flooring. I'm not sure what to get but I like simple.
@@leonore3349try a mushroom lamp? simple and stylish
@@ΒύρωναςΛαδιάς Yeah, I like those, thanks:)
I love the couch. The shape is interesting on its own so the fabric allows the shape to stand out.
And there is no boring stuff. It’s all good and provokes inspiration! Huzzah for flower arrangements in every room! Cheap & easy room refreshers.
Dont freak out....the form is stunning and the color is a very nice neutral that you will do amazing decor with - congrats!
the sofa is a great shape! almost looks like vinyl from afar/maybe the lighting changes too- but great color overall!
Totally loved this vlog, it shows more of your personality and non pretentious, please do more like this! 😊
Love the couch and the color is great! And yes to a larger piece of art over the fireplace.
